Sprinklr Works to Unlock the True Promise of AI with Digital Twins

India —15th May 2024: Sprinklr, the unified customer experience management (Unified-CXM) platform for modern enterprises today announced the launch of Sprinklr Digital Twin – a new AI technology that goes far beyond traditional conversational AI chatbots. Sprinklr Digital Twin, powered by Sprinklr AI+, will enable companies to build and deploy autonomous and intelligent AI that can mirror and radically enhance the capabilities of customer-facing teams. A Sprinklr Digital Twin does not just power conversations, it can make decisions, plan actions, design workflows, and execute tasks at scale with unmatched speed and efficiency.

Sprinklr Digital Twin technology helps unlock the power, potential, and promise of AI with enterprise-grade privacy and governance. Every enterprise is looking for the power to do more with less, the potential to innovate with generative AI, and ways to deliver on the promise of AI for exceptional customer experiences.

“The ultimate promise of AI for customer experience is unlimited digital capacity across the front office. We believe that Sprinklr Digital Twin technology will help radically increase an enterprise’s digital capacity to get work done,” said Sprinklr Founder and CEO, Ragy Thomas. “With the Sprinkler Unified-CXM platform, access to the world’s unstructured data that is publicly available, and proprietary AI combined with industry-leading generative AI capabilities, we are uniquely positioned to help our customers realize the true promise of AI. We want to help every customer unlock the transformative value of speed, innovation, and cost savings with AI.”

Beyond the Bot

Traditionally, companies have relied on a variety of tools to automate their workflows and processes. Examples include chatbots for automating sales and support conversations, marketing automation tools for managing outbound messages and notifications, appointment scheduling tools, task management apps to streamline tasks, and routing engines to direct queries to the appropriate team.

These tools often rely on hardcoded business processes and pre-defined responses, which can limit scope and escalate costs due to increased complexity in maintenance and updates. They tend to be specific to a certain channel or business unit, which can hinder the goal of unifying teams and functions across the organization.

Sprinklr Digital Twins do not rely on hardcoded business processes and can work across different channels seamlessly. They are easier to build and train, and they can be centrally managed. They combine the ability to learn from data and act while performing tasks and making decisions like a team or employee would. Finally, Sprinklr Digital Twins are trained the same way a human is – with access to defined data and systems, instruction on what processes to use depending on tasks, and guidance on what policies and guardrails to follow.

When appropriate, Digital Twins can complete actions entirely autonomously (i.e., processing customer returns or refunds). But for more complex use cases, Sprinklr Digital Twins can use Sprinklr Unified Routing to collaborate with humans for improved productivity, efficiency, and oversight.

A New Approach to Conversational AI

Most organizations today take a standalone approach to conversational AI with two options. First, they can create individual stand-alone bots for each use case or each channel. This approach is difficult to maintain and scale. Option two is for organizations to create one central bot. This approach is limited in its use case and value because of governance challenges.

Sprinklr Digital Twin technology faces none of these challenges because it can be deployed at three layers.

The enterprise layer – is deployed as the internal and/or external facing AI embodiment of the organization. This is the layer of most common conversational AI use cases today.

The team layer – A Digital Twin representing specific teams and specialized at performing certain tasks – such as the marketing team example above. This is the shift happening now for today’s most modern enterprises implementing AI.

The individual layer – Shortly, the most advanced enterprises will have Digital Twin technology deployed at the individual layer. Personal Digital Twins will empower employees by acting on their behalf, attending meetings, communicating internally and externally, and recommending strategies – all with oversite and interaction at the human level

With Sprinklr Digital Twins, every layer and Digital Twin will be interconnected as part of the organization. Every layer of Twin can access new data or actions from the layers above and below. Layering also allows for improved governance, with room for policies that require that certain data or actions be only available to certain teams or individuals – in the same way, sensitive information and actions are preserved at the individual and team level for employees.

Sample Use Cases

● Financial Services – A manager requests a quarterly performance report on customer service interactions related to credit card disputes. The Sprinklr Digital Twin will process the request, applying filters for dispute types and resolutions, generating visualizations of key metrics like resolution time and customer satisfaction. The Digital Twin provides insights, highlighting an area for process improvement, all without manual data manipulation.

● Travel and Hospitality – In a travel agency, a customer experiences a booking issue with their vacation package. A Digital Twin, using real-time data, immediately updates the customer’s segment from ‘Engaged Travelers’ to ‘Service Recovery,’ pausing marketing promotions to focus on resolving the service issue. Once resolved, the customer receives a tailored offer for their next trip, seamlessly linking service recovery with personalized marketing.

● Technology – In a tech company offering cloud storage solutions, a customer encounters a data sync issue. The Digital Twin instantly identifies the problem and dynamically shifts the customer from the ‘Active Users’ to the ‘Support Engagement’ segment, halting promotional emails. After resolving the issue, the customer is transitioned back with a personalized apology and an exclusive discount on an upgraded storage plan, merging customer support with targeted marketing seamlessly.

Scalability and Implementation

Digital Twins can be trained in a few simple steps with no code or low code implementation. The Sprinklr Digital Twin includes more than 100 out-of-the-box integrations with enterprise systems. Digital Twins can also ingest API documentation and credentials, allowing them to integrate with new systems autonomously. With the Digital Twin, you can empower every employee with AI – both as consumers and creators.

AI That You Can Trust

At Sprinklr, we believe there are three core pillars of responsible AI – trust, integrity, and partnership. These three pillars are built into our AI systems as essential components for building trust and driving adoption. For more information, please refer to Sprinkle’s Trust Center.

Is Your Smartphone Security Outdated? Here’s What You’re Missing

Sundar Balasubramanian

By Sundar Balasubramanian, India, and SAARC MD, Check Point Software Technologies

In the last few years, that mobile device in your hand has taken a place of importance in all our lives. The smartphones of today transform into a sort of diary, storing pictures, organizing them, and displaying them in a storytelling modality. Smartphones are much more than a piece of technology that allows you to make phone calls and send text messages.

Many people, before they go to bed, have their smartphones in their hand; they are getting the latest updates, finishing some work, or watching a movie or video shorts. Once they wake up, the first activity of the day consists of picking up the smartphone, checking the time and seeing whether or not they have missed any updates. The smartphone is an important part of our personal lives.

However, mobile threats including here in India is seeing an ever-evolving landscape of attacks. India’s mobile user base is booming, solidifying its position as the second-largest smartphone market globally (trailing only China) with a staggering 492.7 million users in 2021. This growth spans both urban and rural areas, further fueled by the widespread adoption of work-from-home policies during the pandemic. As mobile usage surges, it’s crucial for users to be vigilant against the rising threat of mobile scams.

The landscape of mobile scams is becoming more sophisticated and diverse. In India, recent examples include SIM swap scams and call forwarding scams. However, the government is actively taking steps to combat these threats, cybersecurity awareness campaigns to educate citizens, and recent actions include blocking over 1.4 lakh mobile numbers linked to financial frauds.

Smartphones: dual uses

That very same smartphone is often used for business purposes as well; such as attending or hosting meetings, emails and managing the agenda. The dual-use aspect is also the case with a laptop (used for both private and business purposes). The biggest difference between a laptop and a smartphone is that your smartphone is always turned on and connected to the internet and a laptop, is much.

A second difference is that a laptop is managed and has a threat prevention application on it. In contrast, smartphones are, in many cases, managed by the organization but not secured by a threat prevention application. However, the smartphone contains the same mix of private data and business-related data as the laptop. See the problem?

The bakery next door

Today’s modern bakery can use a smartphone to get the status of the ovens, and also control the ovens. Imagine if the baker’s smartphone were hacked and hackers took control over the most important ovens. This would impact the bakery’s output immediately and perhaps even steal customer data that had been collected. This is not just a theory; this could happen. Although this example is small-scale, the implications are immense; lack of smartphone security can jeopardize a business.

History of mobile threats

Let me put this into greater context. Twenty years ago, Nokia was producing popular mobile phones, like the Nokia 1100 and the Nokia N Gage. At the same time, a group of technical people started a proof-of-concept (POC) to demonstrate that mobile phones could be hacked. The first malware for mobile phones was called the Cabir Worm. The Cabir Worm targeted Symbian OS, which was mainly used by Nokia. The incident demonstrated that mobile phones could be infected by the malware through Bluetooth. In other words, hackers have been targeting phones for 20 years and they’re not about to stop.

Malware targeting smartphones is not new. The difference today compared with 20 years ago is that the smartphone holds sensitive data; sensitive data on a private and business level.

The question is why do organizations fail to install mobile anti-malware on smartphones? I believe it has to do with awareness, costs, and user experience or they think it is not needed (especially IOS users).

iOS cyber security

Despite popular belief, it is possible to install malware on IOS devices and since the EU’s Digital Markets Act of 2022 came about, Apple has been forced to allow also apps outside the App Store on its phones. Regulating smartphones based on unified endpoint management and mobile device management is not enough. The reason why is simple: These security tools do not contain security controls for inspecting apps, network connections, and interfaces in regards to malicious behavior.

Malware prevention

But, let’s get back to the bakery next door. The baker uses his smartphone for daily business (baking bread-related tasks) and also for personal use. To avoid getting infected by malware, the baker does not install apps outside of the App Store, does not scan QR codes, and does not connect to public wifi.

Just like with his laptop, he makes sure that the smartphone and his apps are always updated with the latest software release. Still, this is not enough. The baker won’t successfully avoid SMS phishing, malicious websites, and network-related attacks by taking those steps. To truly advance his security, the baker needs to install a mobile security solution that protects the smartphone against mobile security risks.

The baker is lucky because he relies on a cyber security vendor partner to deliver a platform for supporting his business and he can simply apply mobile security, in addition to the other security controls that have been delivered through the platform.

What the baker has is a consolidated cyber security platform with threat prevention, ensuring that his business won’t be disrupted by opportunistic hackers.

Key takeaways:

As I mentioned earlier, smartphones have become essential in our daily lives, shaping our social interactions and business operations. However, they also present security risks, as they contain sensitive personal and business information. Here are some tips to enhance smartphone security:

1. Stick to official app stores for downloading apps.

2. Avoid connecting to public Wi-Fi networks.

3. Consider installing a mobile threat prevention application.

It is therefore crucial to treat smartphones with the same level of security awareness as laptops. Incorporate them into your awareness campaigns and ensure they are regularly updated with the latest patches. Implement mobile threat prevention solutions like Harmony Mobile from Check Point to serve as a security enforcement point for your Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) or Mobile Device Management (MDM) system.

EPIA statistics- women from IT Sector are opting for Egg Freezing

EPIA

Mumbai, 15th May 2024: As societal norms evolve and conversations around fertility become more open, the demand for egg-freezing services has seen a notable surge. In a recent study conducted by EPIA, a pioneering women’s healthcare early-age startup, key insights have emerged, shedding light on the preferences, concerns, and demographics of those considering egg freezing.

Statistics reveal a significant trend in inquiries from women aged 25 to 32 regarding egg freezing. Among the queries received monthly, 40% originate from this age group, highlighting a growing interest in proactive family planning. Interestingly, the number one reason for pursuing egg freezing is the quest to find the right partner, showcasing a desire to exercise control over one’s reproductive future. When examining these inquiries by sector, approximately 35% stem from individuals employed in knowledge and IT-related fields, 30% from law and healthcare, 20% from hospitality, retail, and aviation, and the remaining 15% from the media sector.

While discussions around fertility can still be taboo for some, EPIA notes a shift in attitudes. 30% of inquiries received are from couples keen to explore egg freezing as a proactive measure to plan for children in the future. This reflects a growing awareness about fertility preservation options among couples, especially those who have witnessed challenges faced by friends or family in conceiving.

For women grappling with conditions like PCOD or PCOS, EPIA’s data discloses that egg freezing can offer a ray of hope. With 75% of PCOS-afflicted women experiencing infertility, preemptive egg freezing can alleviate future challenges, providing a pathway to parenthood without the burden of infertility treatments. Notably, freezing eggs at a younger age holds promise for preserving better quality eggs, mitigating the impact of PCOS-related fertility issues.

Sharing her views on the milestone, Sakshi Bakshi, the Director of EPIA, said, “While societal norms may have traditionally dictated the timeline for starting a family, modern women are increasingly taking charge of their reproductive futures. Egg freezing provides them with a proactive option to preserve their fertility until they are ready to pursue parenthood. As the conversation around fertility preservation continues to evolve, EPIA remains committed to providing comprehensive support and guidance to individuals and couples seeking to explore their reproductive options”.

Contrary to common assumptions, egg freezing isn’t solely pursued by women before childbirth. EPIA receives queries from diverse demographics, including women who have already experienced childbirth but wish to postpone further family planning. This includes couples who have had a child in their 20s and now seek to freeze eggs for future possibilities, offering flexibility and peace of mind amidst current responsibilities.

The data shared by EPIA reveals a predominant interest in egg freezing among middle to high-income individuals earning between 75k and 1 lakh per month or more. The early 30s emerge as a key demographic for inquiries, with the 35-40 age group being the most active participants in egg-freezing cycles.

While EPIA is headquartered in Delhi, inquiries extend beyond regional boundaries. The company receives queries from neighboring regions such as Gurgaon, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, underscoring the demand for fertility preservation services. International interest is also notable, with Dubai featuring prominently among international inquiries.

Lastly, EPIA’s statistics highlight the diversity among its clientele, with approximately 70% being Indian nationals and 30% coming from overseas. Furthermore, most of those inquiring about egg-freezing services are working professionals (80%), underscoring society’s growing awareness and acceptance of this reproductive option.
