Urologist Dr. Alexander Marinbakh Joins NY Health

Born into the family of the leading urological oncologist in Russia, he followed in his father’s footsteps. Dr. Marinbakh earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Second Moscow Medical School. After graduating, he conducted research in the field of UroRadiology and performed the first Ultrasound Study in Russia in 1975. This was the basis of his future PhD degree.
Additionally, Dr. Marinbakh holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed the Residency Program in Surgery and Urology at SUNY Downstate Medical School. Dr. Marinbakh is Board-Certified in Integrative Medicine and holds memberships with the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and the American Board of Hospitalist Physicians.
With over two decades of experience as an attending urological surgeon at Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital in Brooklyn and Mount Sinai Health System, Dr. Marinbakh has established himself as a trusted practitioner in the field. Dr. Johnson specializes in Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and is trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Johnson obtained her undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Committed to improving public health and clinical research, she pursued and completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology at Columbia Mailman School of Public Health. Dr. Johnson has over ten years of experience running clinical trials, primarily in Lupus.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and she is a voluntary attending at Montefiore Medical Center. She is involved in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. She speaks English and Spanish and is very committed to working with the underserved and Latinx community.

The Gateway Family YMCA Hosts Cancer Survivor Retreat
Union, NJ,April 01, 2024 — The Gateway Family YMCA will be hosting a Cancer Survivor Retreat on Thursday, April 25 11:00-3:00pm at The Gateway Family YMCA – Wellness Center Branch, 1000 Galloping Hill Road, Union, NJ. The YMCA Cancer Survivor Retreat incorporates in-person community building, YMCA staff support and YMCA360 Livestream participation to connect with other YMCA’s across the country. Featuring guest speakers, inspiring stories, connection and more, the retreat is being hosted as a collaborative effort through a hybrid format. Registration is required, and lunch will be provided to all participants at The Gateway Family YMCA.

Trilife Hospital launches advanced Neurorehabilitation and Sports Medicine Center; 60,000 sq ft Outpatient Care Unit

Bengaluru, 28th March 2024: Bengaluru-based Trilife Hospital expanded its operations with the launch of an advanced 40-bed Neurorehabilitation and Sports Medicine Center dedicated to pioneering advancements in neurological and rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. Trilife Hospital also launched a new, state-of-the-art outpatient care unit that aims to revolutionize the outpatient experience for people visiting the hospital. Spread over a 60,000 sq ft area, this facility is equipped with the latest technology and instrumentation and is among the largest of its kind in the city. The unit will be staffed by a team of experienced physiotherapists who will work with expert physiatrists and specialists in orthopedics, neurology, and pain management. Apart from providing medical aid to patients requiring sports medicine, the unit will also cater to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric, encompassing women’s health, both antenatal and postnatal. Home care physiotherapists will also be available. Each patient will have a dedicated program depending on his or her medical requirement”
The neurorehabilitation unit will have a 24-hour doctor and ICU backup, trained nurses and medical staff, and will function as a Hyper Dependency Unit (step-down ICU) with high-end equipment including robotics for upper and lower extremities, and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO2) therapy to monitor patient vitals. They will focus on care for cardio-vascular treatment, the incidence of strokes in youngsters, rehab for bedridden patients, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy.
The state-of-the-art outpatient department and rehab unit was inaugurated in the presence of eminent leaders including Shri Krishnabyre Gowda, Hon. Dr. Moghaddam enjoys the longitudinal patient relationships that a rheumatology career allows and the plentiful opportunities for counseling and patient education.
