Principled Technologies (PT) Releases Study Comparing the Ease of Use of Server Management Tools from the Dell to Those from a Competitor
Durham, NC, July 15, 2024 — As data centers continue to expand, so do administrator duties. When organizations are selecting new servers to handle new and growing workloads, they must also consider how administrators will manage those servers. The ideal manageability solution offers robust monitoring, saves time for administrators, and helps assist in security and sustainability.
Principled Technologies (PT) compared three server management tools from the Dell management portfolio (iDRAC9, OpenManage Enterprise, and APEX AIOps Infrastructure Observability [formerly CloudIQ]) to the baseboard management controller (BMC) and enterprise management console of a competitor they call Vendor K.
According to the report, “In our comparison of security, sustainability, and management/monitoring features, we found that the Dell server management tools portfolio provided more robust management and monitoring features than the Vendor K portfolio. In the realm of security, iDRAC9 offered more features, including dynamic system lockdown and multifactor authentication, which Vendor K didn’t offer at all. Plus, iDRAC9 significantly reduced the time to disable USB ports to reduce data vulnerability. With carbon footprint analysis and robust power management tools, we found that OME could better help organizations plan to meet sustainability goals than using Vendor K’s enterprise management console. Additionally, we found that the Dell server management portfolio provided more automation and more remote management options, reducing administrator time and effort for certain routine monitoring and maintenance tasks.”

Sun Prairie, WI, July 13, 2024 — Associated Training Services (ATS) was recently honored by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) for being a Platinum Training Provider. This award is granted to the Training Providers who provide the highest volume of training and testing for NCCCO crane operator and rigging/signalperson certifications. Thom Sicklesteel, C.E.O. of NCCCO visited ATS in June of this year to personally grant this honor to ATS.

In a tribute to Paris, the global capital for street art, pieces will appear on billboards in train stations, airports, the metro, and elsewhere around the cities to help support and promote local small businesses, who contribute to the city’s vitality. Participating artists include leading street artist from Seine-Saint-Denis Marko 93 (France); influential street artist and activist Swoon (USA); pioneering graffiti artist JonOne (USA); native Parisian artist Olivia De Bona (France); prolific colorblind street artist Alex Senna (Brazil); and multidisciplinary artist Vexta (Australia).
A custom payment services solution that Visa has implemented for Paris 2024 will bring seamless contactless payment acceptance to 3,500 points of sale across 32 Olympic venues and 16 Paralympic venues.

Dell Technologies and Hope Foundation Inaugurate Digital Inclusion Lab at Vidhya Mandir ITI and AI Training Center at T.C. Palya in Bangalore
Bangalore, Karnataka – July 11, 2024 – Dell Technologies and Hope Foundation today celebrated the inauguration of a new Digital Inclusion Lab at Vidhya Mandir ITI in Doorvani Nagar and an AI Training Center at T.C. Palya in Bangalore.
The inauguration ceremony marked a significant milestone for students’ computer education. Officials from the Block Educational Department, along with Dell Technologies representatives, including Ms. Archana, CSR Head, South Asia Pacific & Japan, and Hope Foundation CEO Mr. Chandra Shekar, joined the event. Mr. Shekar Mandal, AGM of ITI, and members of the Block Education Office North 4 were also present to celebrate this achievement.
The Dell Digital Inclusion Lab was formally inaugurated. The new lab aims to empower school children who study in government schools, Government aided schools, and youth with digital skills. This initiative is being done across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, NCR of Delhi, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Manipur. This initiative also enables government and aided schools to offer digital inclusion labs for their students.
