Embark on a melodious journey of love and light
India, April 20, 2024 – Seasons, the dynamic pop rock band hailing from Delhi, has released their latest original single, “Farishta.” This captivating track, released on April 11, 2024, captures the band’s signature blend of infectious rhythms, soul-stirring melodies, and heartfelt lyrics.
Formed in 2015 during the college days of founding members Dhritiman (lead singer) and Teerthankar (backing vocals/lead guitarist), Seasons has emerged as a powerful voice in the Indian music scene. Featuring Sanidhya on keyboard, Taara on drums, and Abhishek on bass, the new release “Farishta,” mixed and mastered by Ssameer at Rhythm Solutions, strikes a poignant chord with its celebration of love.
“Farishta” is more than just a song; it’s a love letter to the guiding lights that help us traverse the darkest tunnels of life. Dhritiman describes it as a tribute to those who, like angels, bring light and solace when we need it most. The song will resonate with anyone who has experienced the warmth of unconditional love.
“The story behind each of our songs is quite unique,” says Dhritiman. “While our last release, ‘Teri Nazar,’ represented the fresh sound of an early spring morning, ‘Farishta’ embodies a late spring/early summer vibe. It’s a song that can be interpreted in multiple ways, but at its core, it’s about love in all its forms.”
Teerthankar adds, “‘Farishta’ is a song that embodies the essence of love and hope. Musically, it is a seamless blend of genres, incorporating elements of pop, rock, acoustic, and modern electronic soundscapes.”
In addition to their latest release, Seasons has won hearts of audiences with previous hits such as “Kaise Kahun,” “Waqt,” “All Day All Night,” and “Jolise Jolibo.” Their love for different kinds of music inspired Seasons to create “Bondhu Reh,” blending Bengali and Assamese folk styles. This song became earned them global recognition after being featured in the documentary “Noor Islam” and shown at top film festivals. Seasons then worked with the popular singer Prakash Jaiswal for “Naam Hi,” a song that combined their talents and showed their ability to mix different musical styles.

Magnificent Display of Indian Culture at LPU’s annual ‘One-India 2024’ Cultural Fest
Jalandhar: 20th April 2024– Lovely Professional University (LPU) Campus got transformed into a vibrant realm of Indian culture & heritage when its annual mega cultural fest ‘One India-2024’ commenced with great splendour and spectacle. This 12th edition of the fest witnessed an awe-inspiring display of equality, diversity, and inclusivity as students from across the country showcased the magnificence of their respective states, and joined hands with others.
For this, a large number of Indian festivals, rituals, cultures, traditions, dances, songs were showcased and performed on, in full mirth and merriment. Students raised slogans for oneness, particularly “Bharat Mata Kee Jai” and “Hum Sab Ek Haen”, amid showcasing of large diversity of the country. The fest had an impressive line-up of activities, featuring 29 exhibition stalls that provided a glimpse into the rich heritage, art, and cuisine of each state and union territory. On-looking 25000+ students were also enthralled by the diverse range of products, handicrafts, and other related things that were on display. The fest also showcased 29 folk music & dance-performances, 3 kms long variegated cultural procession- which added magnanimity and lustre to the fest.
Carrying the theme of “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity”; this year’s fest aimed to celebrate the glorious Indian philosophy that binds the entire nation together. The festival welcomed students from all corners of India, who not only represented their states but also collaborated with their peers from different regions.
The event was celebrative and informative with massive presentations made by 4000+ participating LPU students, hailing from all Indian states & union territories. They collaborated with one another to learn and imbibe the goodness of other cultures as well. Even international students of 40+ countries worked together with their Indian counterparts to prove the fest grand in form and aim. The result was a harmonious amalgamation of cultures, traditions, perspectives which showcased the true spirit of a united India.
Founder Chancellor of LPU & Rajya Sabha Member Hon’ble Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal inaugurated the fest by releasing tri-coloured balloons. Dr Mittal congratulated all at the fest for upholding India’s magnanimity in its diversity, as also maintained at the campus itself. Dr Mittal encouraged students to always stand united in all of their endeavours for the betterment of the community, country and the world. Pro-Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal accompanied him. While visiting the individual stalls raised by students; both of them appreciated the incredible enthusiasm and collaboration displayed. They inspired students to go ahead in all unified works for the betterment of the student community.
Along with unity in diversity, inclusion too ensured that students across varying identities feel valued, welcomed, respected, included, represented, heard, and that they can contribute collectively with a voice of their own. What truly set this edition of ‘One India’ apart was the active participation of international students as well. Hailing from different corners of the world, they worked hand in hand with their Indian counterparts, further enriching the festival’s grandeur and demonstrating the spirit of global unity as well. Their contributions highlighted the event’s underlying message of fostering cultural exchange and embracing diversity.
An ‘Art Exhibition-Abhivykati’ was also organized where different departments presented their exclusive creations of their students. The English department displayed original poems, comics, slogans and more to publish soon; Fine Arts exhibited art pieces in diverse forms; Architecture put forth artisan works in diverse textures; Fashion came out with dresses for different occasions; Hotel Management with delicious delicacies; and so on.
Different Schools of the university represented different states of India separately, and their students worked together to bring out the great aspects of the individual states for 28,000 other on-looking students. The conclusive occasion will vouchsafe the cultural showcase and fashion show amid continuous rhyming performances of all the states of India.
Illustrative factor of the celebration was that students of a particular state were seen working and performing for the other state. Andhra Pradesh students were seen in the Punjab tableau; whereas, Kerala students showcased all about Maharashtra state. By doing so, students availed a broadened opportunity to celebrate and pay respect to one-another’s culture. In fact, India is known for its rich cultural heritage, where diversification is the identity of the country.
Students performed on diverse Indian classical and folk dances including Bharatanatyam (Tamil Nadu), Kathak (North, West and Central India), Kathakali (Kerala), Kuchipudi (Andhra), Odissi (Odisha), Manipuri (Manipur), Mohiniyattam (Kerala), Sattriya (Assam), Bhangra/Giddha (Punjab, North India), Garba (Gujarat), Ghumar (Rajasthan) and many more.

Katie’s Pizza Will Donate to Burns Recovered, Cardinals Care
St. Louis, MO, April 19, 2024 –Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria’s next Giveback Tuesday event will take place on Tuesday, April 23, at all three locations. Funds raised from the day will be donated to local nonprofits Burns Recovered, Cardinals Care, and Gateway to Hope. The funds will help these charities fulfill their missions of helping burn survivors, children in our community, and breast cancer patients, respectively.
Once a month, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria hosts Giveback Tuesday, where the restaurant donates 100% of the day’s profits from each of its three locations in Ballpark Village, Rock Hill, and Town and Country to three local nonprofit organizations. So far, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria has donated $426,709 to local nonprofit organizations.
Burns Recovered, founded in 1983, helps burn survivors live without limitations, fear, or insecurities. Funds from Giveback Tuesday will go toward the annual Summit for Seventy campaign, which raises money to send 70+ children to summer camp. Their Midwest Children’s Burn Camp, available free of charge, is a safe and supportive environment for children ages 6 to 17 who survived severe burns and smoke inhalation.

Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories Hosts 2nd Annual Thunder-Rode BikeFest

Albany, NY, April 17, 2024 –Tamu Chambers of Albany, New York, has been chosen as a Woman of the Month for March 2024 by P.O.W.E.R. (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of education.
About Tamu Chambers
Chambers has been a professor in the Department of Education and Social Sciences at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY, for more than 20 years. Throughout her career, she has taught Sociology, Ethnic Studies, African and African-American History, both online and in the classroom. She earned an M.S. degree at the SUNY at Albany and a B.A. degree at the College of Saint Rose, also in Albany. In the 1990s, Chambers co-founded the Diversity Enrichment Program at Russell Sage College in Troy and continues to design curriculum and deliver diversity programs for various organizations throughout New York’s Capital Region and the State University of New York (SUNY). At HVCC, she founded and is an advisor to Sister In Cynch, a student club dedicated to offering programs and experiences that embrace diversity, and increase social and cultural awareness on and off campus. Tamu Chambers is a professor of sociology at Hudson Valley Community College. She also teaches courses on Cultural Diversity in American Society, African History, and African American History. During college, Chambers worked as a professional model and make-up artist and founded Image Consultant International Modeling Agency.
Also an author, Chambers’s published works include “Understanding and Overcoming Adversity,” “21st Century Anthology: Higher Education, Pride, Purpose, and Passion,” “KWANZAA A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture” and “An American Tragedy: Katrina’s Closet.”
A recipient of many honors, Chambers has received awards including the 2014 Hudson Valley Community College – Muslim Student Association Certificate of Honors and Awards – Exceptional Dedication in Advising and Mentoring; the 2013 World-Wide Book Drive Award; the 2010-2011 – “Who’s Who in North America – biographies of most accomplished educators who are making communities; Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges; and Who’s Who Among Americans Teachers – Honoring Our Nation’s Most Respective. She was also recognized by the NAACP – Albany New York for her contributions to improving the quality of life in the African American Region.
Chambers is affiliated with the American Association of University Professors; the National Association of Black Women Historians; the National Education Association (NEA); the State University of New York – SUNY Systems Committee Member – Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion; the United University Professions – State of New York Empire State College – Center for Distance (learning member and former delegate); and a committee member on the Faculty Council of Community Colleges. Tamu received her M.A. in the History of Africa and her M.S. in Women’s Studies. She has been featured as a public speaker for television and served as a producer of women’s history programs and societal issues.

Executive Community Leaders Came Together for a Roundtable Discussion
Plainfield, NJ, April 16, 2024 — Leveraging Community Partnership with Executive Community Stakeholders Initiatives for 2024.
On Wednesday, April 10, the Housing Authority of Plainfield (HAP) and Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church held a roundtable discussion with executive community leaders addressing solutions for homelessness prevention. The event, titled, “Leveraging Community Partnership with Executive Community Stakeholders Initiatives for 2024” was co-hosted by HAP’s Joanne Hollis Gardens (JHG) Community Resource Center and served as a community behavioral health platform for crisis management through educational awareness.

Since the initiative’s inception, the quality of of life for many families and children in and around Union County has been improved through these results-driven wraparound services which includes: education awareness for realistic resources and sustainability that has provided advocacy for homelessness crisis prevention, team building, cultural diversity, gender transparency, behavioral health, dual addiction treatment, youth empowerment, employment opportunities, senior services, and transformational change through its efficient community collaboration of leaders.

The 4th Edition of FAB Show 2024 Expected to Attract More Than 10,000 Buyers From 400 Plus Cities Across India
Mumbai, April 15, 2024: The most awaited 4th edition of Fabrics Accessories & Beyond Show 2024 (FAB Show) by Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) was inaugurated on April 15, 2024, in the August presence of sourcing heads from renowned brands and retail majors including Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Bestseller, Gokaldas Exports, Kora, Mufti, Pepe Jeans, Reliance Brands, Shoppers Stop, Soch, Stori, Spykar, Westside.

White House Kintsugi Pottery Gift for the Japanese Prime Minister
