Ex-servicemen have a big role in nation building and they have given a lot of sacrifices for this.

On 16th July, the first General Conference of the Governing Council of the Federation of Veteran’s Associations (India) was held in the pink city of Rajasthan, Jaipur. In which presidents and representatives of 115 ex-servicemen organizations from various states of the country participated. During this conference, the spokesperson of the Federation Captain Lokendra Singh Talianhas screened a documentary film on the importance and role of ex-servicemen in the development of the country and the Federation.

Federation President Subedar Arjun Singh Rathore explained the strong and transparent bylaws/constitution prepared by the Ex-Servicemen Rights Protector Federation through a ppt. presentation to all the delegates in detail. The same was appreciated by the respected members present in the auditorium. The General Secretary of the Federation informed the Council about the demands raised by the Federation regarding the welfare of ex-servicemen and the advance planning for a forthcoming rally at Jantar Mantar, Delhi.

The accounts of the Federation till June 30, 2023 were kept before the Management Council by the Treasurer of the Federation, after which it was approved by the Management Council.

The further strategy was discussed on the ongoing indefinite strike at Jantar Mantar from 20 February 2023 and decisions were taken on several main issues. During the session, many intellectual speakers presented their views and appealed to all the presidents and representatives to make the proposed rally at Jantar Mantar successful on 23rd July. Veteran GK Pathak, General Secretary, Purva Sainik Adhikar Rakshak Mahasangh (PARM) spoke at the conference through a patriotic song.

National Spokesperson of PARM and Treasurer of the Federation of Veteran’s Associations Veteran PK Saini said in his address that the ongoing indefinite dharna at Jantar Mantar will continue even after the rally of 23rd July and our organization is continuously arranging water and whatever responsibility will be given to PARM for the upcoming rally, we will fulfill it.

Addressing the gathering, the National President of PARM, Veteran Rajdeep Verma said that ex-servicemen have played a huge role in the building of the Nation and they have made a lot of sacrifices for the country. Therefore he urged the government to constitute a committee on the discrepancies in OROP and remove them so that the ex-servicemen of the country have faith in the government. It was a very successful event.

Designed By Gameplan Creative, New Look Will be Featured in SlamBall League: Series 6 this Summer in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV and Chicago, IL (June 23, 2023) – SlamBall, the fast-paced, gravity-defying sport that combines elements of basketball, football, hockey and trampolines, today unveiled “SlamMan,” their new logo in advance of the upcoming relaunch with SlamBall League: Series 6.

The logo and color scheme were designed by Gameplan Creative, the Chicago-based branding team that has been instrumental in creating designs for a host of teams, leagues and organizations, including the WNBA and eight of its teams and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The league logo will appear with all other creative going forward.

“We are honored to be able to work with Tom O’Grady, Brigitte Smith, Pat Aguilar and the team at Gameplan Creative to deliver this new look in advance of our training camp and return to play season,” said Mason Gordon, SlamBall co-founder and CEO. “Tom has overseen some of the most well respected and distinctive looks in our industry, especially those in and around the NBA and the WNBA, and the input and attention to detail of his team was outstanding. We welcome SlamMan to the family.”

The new SlamBall logo process focused on the slam dunk player silhouette placed within the parallelogram shapes, evocative of the sport’s signature tramps (springbeds). The new black and gold color scheme is a modern incarnation that reflects the power, speed and creativity of the sport.

“Having an opportunity to design a league logo, brand individual teams, and create uniform designs is like winning the lottery in the creative world – beyond that, having that opportunity with the transcendent sport of SlamBall – it’s truly out of this world!,” said Brigitte Smith, Creative Director at Gameplan Creative, who oversaw most of the work on the logo. “I believe what we have created is a reflection of what the brand truly is – a powerful sport taken to great heights. SlamBall recently announced an exclusive, two-year national broadcast partnership with ESPN for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The partnership begins on Opening Night, as SlamBall relaunches live from Las Vegas on July 21 from 7-9 p.m. EDT. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN+ will combine to air more than 30 hours of live SlamBall programming across five weekends, culminating August 17-19 with the SlamBall Playoffs and SlamBall Championship Game. All games will be played at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, with ticket sales beginning on June 28.

New Delhi: – A new book, Behind the Uniform: Not Just a Cop, provides a unique insight into the life of a police officer. Written by serving CRPF officer Rakesh Kumar Singh and psychologist Ms. Shubhangi Singh, the book offers a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges and rewards of police work.

Second consecutive victory for the Telugu Talons as they edge past Golden Eagles Uttar Pradesh

Jaipur, 9th June 2023: First game of Matchday 2 of the inaugural season of the Premier Handball League (PHL) saw Golden Eagles Uttar Pradesh take on Telugu Talons. Uttar Pradesh started the game with an all-Indian line-up. Telugu was struggling to find their attacking rhythm as Golden Eagles were scoring freely in the opening minutes of the game. However, the game was turning into a physical battle due to which there were a lot of stoppages. Half-way through the first half the scores read 10-8 in favour of the Golden Eagles. Despite a slow start from Telugu, they had finally found their cutting edge in attack. The combination of Davinder Singh Bhullar and Naseeb were causing all sorts of issues for the Golden Eagles as they edged back into the game. The first half ended with a score of 19-21 in favour of the Telugu Talons.

Telugu Talons carried their momentum from the closing encounters of the first half into the opening minutes of the second-half. By the 45th minute of the game the Talons had established a phenomenal lead as the scores read 28-33 in their favour. Golden Eagles were playing well and despite the best efforts of Vikas and Sukhveer Singh they were struggling to bridge the gap. Telugu was controlling the game well and were trying to put the game beyond the reach of the Golden Eagles. Uttar Pradesh however, were mounting a late comeback as they had clawed their way back into the game. Despite their best-efforts Telugu were able to score consistently, as soon after the game ended at 38-40 in favour of the Talons.

Sukhveer Singh Brar of the Golden Eagles Uttar Pradesh was the top scorer for his team with an astounding 12 goals, while Naseeb was the top scorer for the Telugu Talons in the tie with nine goals. Uttar Pradesh’s Sukhveer Singh Brar was adjudged to be the best player of the match for his phenomenal yet valiant effort for his team.
