JK Lakshmipat University celebrates 13th Convocation; female graduates grab 9 out of 10 gold medals
Jaipur, Nov 24th:The campus of JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) was brimming with pride and celebration as 295 graduates received their degrees and diplomas across engineering, management, and design streams at the university’s 13th Annual Convocation, held on Sunday.

In a remarkable highlight of the ceremony, female graduates secured 9 out of 10 gold medals, reaffirming their academic excellence and leadership potential.
Renowned author, corporate advisor, and former Director of Tata Sons, Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan, graced the convocation as Chief Guest. Commending the exceptional performance of women, he remarked:
“Unless this country can get more economic output out of women, it is unlikely our GDP growth will surpass 9 or 10 percent… Increasing women’s employment and economic contribution will push our GDP upward.”
Emphasizing evolving skillsets, he added;
“Staying relevant is a challenge for everyone. Keep up with new technologies like AI and try learning a new language. Your success will rely more on your ‘human knowledge’—your ability to understand and work with people.”
The convocation also coincided with JKLU’s Founder’s Day, celebrated in honor of visionary industrialist Lala Lakshmipat Singhania.
Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania, Pro Chancellor of JKLU, addressed the gathering, highlighting the 140-year legacy of the JK Group in nation-building and education. He emphasized the importance of nurturing curiosity and responsible innovation in an increasingly dynamic world.
Professor Vijaysekhar Chellaboina, JKLU Vice Chancellor, presented the annual report and provided a detailed breakup of the 295 degrees and diplomas awarded:

Addressing graduates, he stressed;
“Your personal and professional lives are interconnected… You will need to learn, unlearn, and relearn throughout life.”
He identified three qualities essential for long-term success;
Sensitivity – understanding people deeply
Humility – staying grounded
Curiosity – staying relevant and growing
Gold medalists included;
Manasvi Jain, Poorna Bhati, Khushi Agarwal, Kavisha Gupta, Shruti Kumari, Naomika Dwidesh, Jasmine Kaur, Trisha Roy, and Anay Sinhal.
Dignitaries in attendance included Board of Management members, Directors of Institutes, Registrar & CFO CA KK Maheshwari, and Controller of Examinations Dr. Umesh Gupta.
