Paws, Play & Pure Joy: Here’s What You Missed on Pet Fed Pune 2025 Day 1

Pune, Nov 24th:  Pet Fed, India’s biggest pet festival and a Limca World Record holder for the Biggest Dog Carnival, kicked off its 11th edition with an enthusiastic turnout at Deccan College Grounds, Pune. Presented by Royal Canin, powered by Drools, and co-powered by Bowlers and Zepto, the festival welcomed over 1,100 pets—including dogs, cats, and several unique companions—and approximately 6,500 pet parents and animal lovers, setting the stage for a vibrant, heartwarming weekend.

Visitors explored a diverse range of all-day zones, including the Masterclass Arena, Play Zone, Agility Ring, Kitty Play Pen, Catapalooza, adoption camps, and over 100 stalls featuring leading Indian and international pet-care brands.

Highlights from Day 1 of Pet Fed Pune 2025

Interactive Activities:
Day 1 featured high-energy engagements such as Walk & Wags, Fetch & Fumble, Trick Trail, Bug Buster, Wheel of Woofs, and the crowd-favourite Temptation Alley, each attracting enthusiastic participation.

Security & Obedience Dog Show:
A standout moment of the day was the impressive Security & Obedience Dog Show conducted with Priyanka Patcki of Snout Scout, showcasing advanced obedience routines, tactical manoeuvres, and search demonstrations—offering visitors a glimpse into the world of skilled working dogs.

Play Zones for Pets:
Across the venue, pets enjoyed dedicated play spaces with agility structures, ball pools, slides, and interactive areas curated separately for dogs and cats.

Expert-Led Masterclasses:
Pet parents attended sessions on health, grooming, nutrition, behaviour, photography, and responsible pet parenting, reinforcing Pet Fed’s mission to promote pet welfare and education.

Feline Features:
The cat-exclusive zone, Catapalooza, saw remarkable participation with engaging activities and free microchipping for cats. The International Cat Show, judged by experts Sudhakar Katikineni and Anne Carrol, showcased pedigreed cats evaluated on global breed standards and temperament, drawing admiration from visitors.

Adoption Drives:
Organizations including SAW, UNICEF, and the Cheetos Foundation conducted adoption drives throughout the day, encouraging responsible pet adoption and offering opportunities to connect with animals seeking loving homes.

Flea Market & Carnival Fun:
The festival also featured a vibrant flea market with leading pet-care brands, along with carnival attractions such as pet caricatures, tarot reading, face painting, and a wide range of food and beverage options.
