Restoration Complete on What is Believed to be the Only 1905 Riley 9HP
Ipswich, United Kingdom, June 07, 2024 — Bridge Classic Cars are offering collectors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire a true piece of automotive history: a meticulously restored 1905 Riley 9hp, believed to be an experimental design from the pioneering days of British motoring.
This remarkable vehicle, believed to predate even the earliest prototypes of Riley’s first four-wheeled chassis, has been brought back to life following a painstaking four-year restoration by the Pettistree-based restorers. The 1905 Riley 9hp, registered as CW151, is a unique example of early British automotive engineering and innovation.
Originally discovered hidden on a farm, presumably for safekeeping during the destructive years of the World Wars, CW151 was nothing more than a collection of scattered car parts and metal debris. Undeterred by the challenge, the restoration team at Bridge Classic Cars started the painstaking process of bringing the unique vehicle back to life.
Geoff Haviland, representing the Riley Cars Archive Heritage Trust, has personally inspected the car and strongly believes it to be an experimental precursor predating even the prototypes of Riley’s first four-wheeled chassis. The chassis details, although similar to those of the 1907 production model, exhibit distinct variations such as a longer front end, unique door and seating configurations, and other subtle differences that suggest its experimental nature.
“This 1905 Riley 9hp is believed to be an experimental design, produced for the test programme of Riley’s first four-wheeled chassis,” explains Rob Harvey, Marketing Manager at Bridge Classic Cars “There aren’t many times in life when you get the opportunity to be close to a vehicle that genuinely changed automotive history but, without this car, our cars would all likely be very different today.”
“Three-wheeled cars (2 wheels at the front and 1 at the back) were the most popular of vehicles back when this was thought up. If it wasn’t for Percy Riley building this mock-up to refine his design, who knows how long it would have been before four-wheels became the norm.”
“As sad as we will be to see this one-off car leave the workshop, I’m excited to think that it will end up in a special collection where it can be appreciated and admired as much as it deserves to be.”
This exceptionally rare vehicle, one of only four surviving examples of the Riley 9hp (Riley Heritage Archive Trust), and the only experimental model believed to exist, is now going up for sale in the hope it will find its way into a collection worthy of its historical significance.
The sale of this extraordinary 119-year-old vehicle presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for automotive enthusiasts and collectors to acquire a true piece of motoring history.
Key Highlights of the 1905 Riley 9hp (CW151) Include:
– Meticulously restored by Bridge Classic Cars over four years
– Hand-painted by renowned sign writer, Joby Carter
– Restoration focused on preserving and reusing original components, with a high percentage of the vehicle being authentic
– Comes with a professionally framed original roof and seat cover, adding to its historical authenticity

Mr. Johnson states that this is the rejuvenation benefit that operates through the RAYD8 app to improve the condition of the body’s cells and encourages a relaxed state of mind.
“I have studied alternative energy sciences and modalities for 16 years from all over the world. The RAYD8 app is the accumulation of this work that I have worked with people individually for years helping them to improve the vitality and well-being within themselves. It is a measurable tool that works with energetics that we are not commonly familiar with in this modern age; but this energy exists all around us. Nikola Tesla once said that if we want to know the secrets of the universe to explore frequency, energy, and vibration. Kidney Care Partners Applauds Senate Reintroduction of The Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement
Washington, DC, June 07, 2024 — Kidney Care Partners (KCP) – the nation’s leading kidney care multi-stakeholder coalition representing patient advocates, physician organizations, health professional groups, dialysis providers, researchers and manufacturers – today commends Sens. Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) for re-introducing The Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act (S. 4469). A companion bill (H.R. 5027) was introduced by Reps. Carol Miller (R-WV) and Terri Sewell (D-AL) in the House of Representatives last year.
Kidney disease impacts 37 million Americans, yet most Americans are not aware they have it because symptoms are not readily apparent during early stages of the disease. If passed, The Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act would enact policy changes to address this public health crisis by prioritizing early disease education and screening to empower patients to identify their risk factors.
The legislation also proposes creating a long-term payment pathway for innovative products that would equip patients and providers with access to next-generation tools and treatments needed to fight kidney disease. Further, the bill includes several provisions that would help ensure access to care for patients, including boosting the kidney care workforce through sustainable payments and providing Medigap coverage to all ESRD patients, regardless of age.
“We applaud Sens. Ben Cardin and Marsha Blackburn for their commitment to improving the lives of millions of Americans affected by kidney disease through the reintroduction of The Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act,” said Mahesh Krishnan, MD, MPH, MBA, Chair of KCP. “The challenges that the kidney care community faces today require bold and urgent solutions. We look forward to working alongside policymakers to continue to improve the care for patients across the kidney disease continuum.”

John Bowling’s New Book Lake Cora Haiku

Paw Paw, MI, June 07, 2024 —- Fulton Books author John Bowling, who served for many years as a college professor, pastor, and university president, has completed his most recent book, “Lake Cora Haiku”: a powerful and poignant series of haikus prompted and influenced by the author’s time spent admiring the incredible beauty and landscape of Lake Cora.
“Lake Cora is a beautiful spring-fed lake located in the cradle of southwest Michigan’s orchards and vineyards. The lake is surrounded by a soft sandy shore, natural grasses, and stately trees. Though it is small and not widely known, locals affectionately call it the other great lake. Although Lake Cora is an ideal setting for water skiing, small sailboats, kayaks, and an occasional wave runner, it is primarily a quiet reflective setting for fishing, swimming, and a calm nightly parade of pontoon boats. As such, the lake gives rise to thoughts of nature and the nature of life. The ancient craft of haiku provides a vehicle to express such reflections,” writes Bowling.
“Haiku is a generally unrhymed poetic form traditionally consisting of seventeen syllables arranged in three lines of five, seven, and five syllables, respectively. Haiku is perhaps the most popular and best-known poetic form worldwide. These poems are deceivingly simple enough to be taught to children and yet have been the subject of doctoral dissertations and academic careers.”

The brand launched the Plant Goodness initiative with an ambition to plant 1M trees by 2025 and has already planted 6 lac trees. In collaboration with an NGO and farmers for agroforestry, these trees have been planted in farmlands across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. The saplings planted are fruit-bearing trees that help farmers increase income opportunities with the produce from these trees. The agroforestry approach doesn’t use the entire agricultural land, and the farmers continue to do their farming along with creating an orchard. This helps in creating carbon sinks in agricultural fields, thus moving towards the target of ‘Net Zero Carbon’. The brand has also created positive environmental changes, including the sequestration of 250,000 tons of carbon and the production of 500,000 tons of oxygen each year while greening 3,500 acres of land.

HDFC Mutual Fund Launches Campaign GenerationRestoration to Combat Climate Change
Mumbai, 7th June 2024:Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability, HDFC Mutual Fund has launched the 4th edition of its NurtureNature campaign. Through this campaign, the company focuses on water conservation through lake restoration. This year’s initiative, titled¬¬¬¬¬¬¬Generation Restoration, is a long-term effort dedicated to fighting climate change and its devastating impacts. Over the past three years, the NurtureNature campaign has facilitated the plantation of over 50 thousand saplings across the country and recycled 4.65 tonnes of plastic waste to conserve nature.
Through a compelling campaign video titled GenerationRestoration, HDFC Mutual Fund showcases the story of Savitri, an elderly woman forced to migrate after her village home was ravaged by drought. The video drives home the message that climate change is uprooting countless families, stripping them of their homes and livelihoods. Building on these efforts further, NurtureNature 4.0 aims to create sustainable water sources by contributing towards restoring the water holding capacity of an existing lake. The campaign highlights the plight of millions of Indians displaced from their homes due to natural calamities like drought, fuelled by climate change. As per the Costs of Climate Inaction Report by Climate Action Network South Asia, it is estimated that by 2050, climate change could force up to 45 million Indians to face this harsh reality.
Under NurtureNature 4.0 – Generation Restoration, HDFC Mutual Fund will restore the water holding capacity of an old lake for every digitally registered SIP during the campaign period, aiming to rejuvenate and restore an existing lake. From June 5th to June 11th, 2024, any new SIPs registered digitally or online of a minimum of Rs. 2,500 per month for at least 3 years in eligible equity and gold schemes, the fund house will contribute towards restoring a 5,000-litre water holding capacity in an old lake. The aim is to rejuvenate and restore the water holding capacity of an existing lake, providing a sustainable water source for villagers, agricultural activities, and environmental preservation.
Commenting on this socially responsible initiative, Mr. Navneet Munot, MD & CEO of HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd., said, “Global warming is an existential threat to humanity. As the world grapples with deforestation, rapid urbanization, environmental degradation, and groundwater depletion, we must take immediate action. As part of our ongoing Nurture Nature Campaign, now in its fourth year, we have committed to alleviating the water crisis by restoring an existing lake and providing a sustainable source of water”
