Kolkata flags off FITEXPO INDIA 2023
2 st December 2023, Kolkata: One of Asia’s largest sports, fitness, and wellness trade expo – FITEXPO INDIA 2023 (December 1 to 3) was flagged off today at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata at a gala ceremony attended by the Guest-of-Honour, Shri Radhe Shyam Goenka, Chairman, Emami, and other dignitaries and fitness, sports and wellness enthusiasts from all over India.
Mr. Sushil Poddar, President, CWTA, Mr. Harmeet Singh Luthra, Founder-Director, Fitline, Mr. Vishal Gupta, MD, Viva Fitness, Mr. Gagan Sachdev, Founder-Director, Bodyline and FITEXPO INDIA, Mr. Paul Chowdhury, Rival Fitness, Mr. Parag Bhatia, Director, Building Nutrition, Mr. Rahul Bose, Director, Body Sensation were also present. The event is being held in association with SPORTEXPO.
The 3-day mega expo, spread over 3 lac sq feet of indoor and outdoor area, will engage over 5000 fitness, sport, and wellness enthusiasts and experts and is expected to draw over 1.25 lac footfalls. The EXPO is showcasing a diverse range of sports and fitness products from top brands. The FITEXPO INDIA 2023 would be a business-to-consumer (B2C) as well as a business-to-business (B2B) affair. This is the fourth edition of the Expo which is held biennially.
“FITEXPO INDIA is more like a `Kumbh mela’ for sports, fitness and wellness and connects with the growing base of sports lovers, fitness enthusiasts and wellness practitioners while providing a 360- degree view of these rapidly expanding sectors where health, wealth and commerce go hand in hand under the same roof with overarching commercial benefits in the long run. The Indian sports, fitness and wellness sector, under Khelo India and Fit India, is now five times bigger,” said Mr Gagan Sachdev, founder-director of THE FITEXPO INDIA and Vice-President, Calcutta Sports Dealers Association (CSDA).
“Our two years of effort and passion will culminate in FITEXPO INDIA 2023 which will engage the entire fitness and sporting community of West Bengal, including the sports development authorities, Sports Authority of India and The Bengal Olympic Association,” said Mr Sachdev.
Mr Rajesh Bhatia, President CSDA and Chief Convenor of SPORTEXPO, said, “This year there is a special platform SPORTEXPO curated solely for the sports industry focusing on promotion of sports goods, sportswear, sports Infrastructure development and technology. More than a 100 different kinds of events related to fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting, kettlebell, weight lifting, CrossFit, armwrestling, dance fitness, Zumba, yoga etv. FITEXPO INDIA 2023 has 32 formats of martial arts, mixed martial arts and combat sports. Other than popular games like cricket and football, there is throw ball, dodgeball, rugby, skating and cycling; indoor games like badminton, table tennis, carrom, chess, archery and dart tournaments also and many other activities.

Depiction of PM Modi’s Mega journey “Modi@20” begains at Lalit Kala Akadem
New Delhi: With the title of “Modi@20”, the depiction of PM Modi’s mega journey has begun in art form in Delhi today. Exhibition of painting and sculpture, “Modi@20” will be held from 1st to 3rd December 2023 at Ravindra Bhawan Gallery, Lalit Kala Akademi, Mandi House, New Delhi. This exhibition has been hosted by Suvadra Art Gallery, Bhuvneshwar. Central minister Arjun Ram Meghwal along with social activist, poet, and BJP leader Shankar Parida were also present on this occasion.
Curator of this exhibition Ashok Nayak said that there has been a total of 200 paintings showcased about the life journey of Prime Minister Modi. The personal life, political journey, and religious journey of PM Modi have been created beautifully on canvas. The focal point of this exhibition is the Modi model and its effect on life. In these paintings PM Modi can be seen with his mother, at Badrinath-Kedarnath, performing Ganga arti at Banaras, encouraging the Chandrayan mission, dedicating Make in India to the nation, speaking in Man ki baat, meeting with Ambani and Adani and chatting with Yogi Adityanath amicably.
More than 100 artists have participated in this exhibition to showcase their work. On the very first day several art enthusiasts and prominent artists visited the exhibition. Toyota Kirloskar Motor Enhances Quality Educational Infrastructure at Government Kannada Model Primary School in Ramanagara
Bangalore, 2nd, December 2023: In line with its commitment to bolster education in rural areas, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced the handing over of newly built classrooms at Government Kannada Model Primary School, Ramanagara. This initiative is in line with its efforts to provide modern school infrastructure at grassroot level and support the growing educational needs.
The inauguration and handing over ceremony of these classrooms was graced by Dr. Avinash Menon Rajendran, IAS -Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate, Ramanagara District, Mr. Basavaraje Gowda, Deputy Director Public Instruction Admin – Education Department and Mr. Roshan R, Deputy General Manager, EA State, CSR & BIA, TKM.
The Government Kannada Model Primary School in Ramanagara, constructed by TKM with a capacity for 600 students was handed over in FY 2021-22. The school has seen a significant increase in admissions from about 400 to over 700 students in 2023. To meet the growing demand and infrastructural requirements, TKM constructed additional classrooms in the existing facility, expanding the school’s capacity to accommodate more students increasing the total school capacity to about 720.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Avinash Menon Rajendran, IAS – Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate, Ramanagara District said, “Enhancing educational infrastructure in the most remote areas, not only lays the foundation for a brighter future but also guarantees that students have access to all the necessary facilities for a favorable learning environment. Toyota’s efforts in constructing and handing over these newly build classrooms symbolizes a shared pledge to impart knowledge to our children. Andhra Pradesh spearheads the skills revolution with the ‘Leading towards Next Age Programmes’ initiatives
Hyderabad, 1 December 2023: The Andhra Pradesh Government, through Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), is planning a one-of-a-kind initiative – ‘Leading towards Next Age Programmes.’ This project has the potential to revolutionise the state’s talent development environment, addressing the perennial problem of skills shortages in the Indian labour market. As part of this visionary program, the Government aims to bridge the gap between industry demands and workforce skills, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leader in the rapidly evolving landscape of skills development and employment.
The event aims to highlight the accomplishments of existing skills development programmes as well as the changing strategies that drive their success. Andhra Pradesh has strategically integrated its skilling approach to create better placement opportunities for unemployed people by acquiring job-specific skills. In 2019, the Government launched a new integrated Skill Development Ecosystem, integrating all skills and vocational education wings under the Department of Skills Development & Training (SD&T). The SD&T coordinates numerous wings, giving long-term and short-term vocational and technical training to a varied pool of users. The department has taught 14,42,134 individuals and placed 3,57,334 people in 98 career roles across 20 different industries.

Nifty Overcomes Morning Sell-Off, Eyes New Highs Despite Potential Impact from Evening Exit Polls.

However, Nifty finding support near 20000 erased all the losses to close the day in the green. On the monthly timeframe, Nifty has formed a strong Bullish candle. VIX, the fear gauge, for the most part of the day, was in green but ended in red. All these indicate that the bulls are is no mood to relent and Nifty is perfectly set up to touch new highs. However, the exit polls are due in the evening, and their outcome may impact the market.
