Narula Institute of Technology Successfully Concludes Two-Day 2025 IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Technology in Energy and Power Systems (STEPCon-2025)
Kolkata, Nov 21: Narula Institute of Technology (NIT), in technical collaboration with the IEEE Kolkata Section, successfully concluded the two-day 2025 IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Technology in Energy and Power Systems (STEPCon-2025). The international summit served as a critical global platform, bringing together leading researchers, academic luminaries, and industry experts from over ten countries to deliberate on the most pressing challenges and cutting-edge advancements in sustainable energy systems.

STEPCon-2025 was marked by distinguished participation from premier Indian institutions, including IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIEST Shibpur, NIT Durgapur, Jadavpur University, University of Calcutta, and MAKAUT, alongside a strong contingent from various industry organizations. The conference featured intense academic discussions through keynote lectures, technical paper presentations, and poster sessions, which covered diverse topics from smart grids to renewable energy integration. Keynote addresses were delivered by renowned global experts, including Dr. Ambrish Chandra (Canada), Dr. Octavian Adrian Postolache IEEE Distinguished Speaker (USA–UK/Portugal), and Dr. Sergey Loktionov (Russia), alongside eminent Indian academicians like Prof. (Dr.) Bhim Singh, Dr. Sujit Kumar Biswas, and Dr. Gopakumar K.
The inaugural ceremony and subsequent sessions were graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Sushil Kumar Soonee, Former & Founder CEO, GRID INDIA, and Advisor, Ministry of Power, Government of India, who served as the Chief Guest. Mr. Rajiv Sutradhar, Executive Director, Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre, Grid Controller of India, illuminated the proceedings as the Guest of Honour. The institute was also honoured by the presence of Mr. Maxim Kozlov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, and Ms. Ekaterina Tyurina, Vice Consul, at the inauguration.
