Bhubaneswar, Sept. 24 (UDN): Heavy to very heavy rainfall continued across several parts of Odisha on Thursday morning as the deep depression over the Bay of Bengal moved inland after making landfall near Kalingapatnam late Wednesday night.

The weather system brought widespread rain to southern and coastal parts of the state, with several areas experiencing intense spells since the early hours of Thursday.

Following the landfall, the system is expected to gradually weaken as it moves further inland. However, its associated weather conditions continue to influence rainfall activity over Odisha, prompting authorities and residents to remain alert.
