The second utilized AI skeleton node detection enables multi-user interaction and realistic football simulations without the need for wearable devices. The system delivers low-latency performance to ensure smooth interactions and incorporates factory-grade white balance calibration technology to maintain image consistency across multi-projector displays. Through AI-enabled environments, BenQ streamlines complex processes and delivers highly efficient, high-quality, integrated immersive experiences.

In the area of smart education, BenQ integrates AI and IoT technologies to create smart learning environments that feature teaching efficiency, management effectiveness, health and safety. By integrating projectors, interactive displays, cameras, and other devices with smart cloud management, AIoT, and AI applications, BenQ showcases a smart classroom solution that integrates hardware and software. Through cloud-based platforms (AMS, DMS, and X-Sign), the system integrates teaching material management and device control, enabling real-time access to educational resources and cross-device management. – ESG Zone showcases carbon reduction initiatives at the design stage

Covering high-performance computing, high-speed networking, and enterprise-grade storage, the company provides a comprehensive one-stop solution that helps enterprises rapidly build AI computing environments capable of supporting real-time analytics and large-scale data processing. Alpha Networks is introducing a new-generation AI data center solution combining network performance, energy efficiency, and high computing power. Its 64-port 1.6T AI data center switch adopts Broadcom TH6 high-performance ASIC technology, delivering 102.4T switching capacity and 1.6T high-speed transmission to achieve high bandwidth and low latency, thereby enhancing AI computing performance. WiXtar centered its exhibition around the concept of an “AI Store Manager At Work 24/7,” demonstrating a full-scenario Agentic AI solution spanning front-end consumer experience, back-end operations management, and headquarters decision-making. Four key applications include: the world’s first “AI 24HR Store Inspection Robot,” which integrates 360-degree panoramic imaging, VLM scene cognition analysis and the D8AI AI Agent Builder, and automatically switches inspection tasks according to breakfast, lunch, and dinner operating periods to conduct 24-hour SOP audits, restocking alerts, and disaster/loss prevention monitoring; an AI self-ordering system using VLM-guided ordering combined with personalized membership recommendations to increase average order value; an AI ordering and receiving system utilizing three-dimensional data to forecast sales and optimize procurement while replacing manual order processing with AI image recognition and inspection; and an AI decision center that consolidates customer traffic, sales, and inventory data, enabling AI agents to drive operational decision-making in real time.

Partner Tech is focusing on AI-driven smart retail applications at this year’s exhibition, showcasing a self-checkout solution integrated with Vision-Language Models (VLM). Through image recognition and automated learning capabilities, the system significantly improves checkout efficiency while reducing labor dependence. The company also unveiled its new concept retail POS solution, “Florence,” built around a modular design concept to provide a flexible and scalable smart store operating architecture. D8AI will debut its enterprise-grade multi-AI-agent development platform at COMPUTEX 2026. Developed by D8AI, the platform is a comprehensive on-premises hardware and software solution that integrates a graphical editing system for AI agent workflows and human-AI conversational processes, as well as on-premises large language models and enterprise-grade GPU servers. The platform’s multi-agent workflow is powered by D8AI’s proprietary event-driven service-flow engine, designed to meet requirements for accuracy, reliability, and security in complex enterprise-level AI agents.

Grandsys is introducing its GEAP enterprise-level AI agent solution, integrating speech-to-text and generative AI technologies to create a highly efficient “case closed immediately after the call ends” service model. Combined with MetaAge’s cloud architecture, the solution ensures system stability and low latency. Features such as “one-click summary generation” and automated form completion reduce post-call processing from minutes to seconds, significantly improving productivity while reducing errors. At COMPUTEX, MetaAge will showcase two AI applications for enterprises: an AI cybersecurity governance platform and an AI agent operational automation solution. This year, DFI joined forces with partners including Mobilint, MemryX, and MarkeTop Smart Solutions to showcase edge AI applications spanning public safety, UAVs, industrial safety, and smart healthcare. Centered on industrial-grade hardware platforms built around “rugged durability × AI × optimized computing power × long lifecycle,” DFI supports the stable operation of Vision AI, VLM, and medical AI recognition technologies in real-world environments, demonstrating the value of edge AI applications and accelerating their deployment.

APLEX Technology showcased the AVS-553 ultra-high-speed edge AI visual inspection system, integrated with software solutions from AIWin Technology. Leveraging high-speed AI image inspection, the solution addresses the issues of false calls and missed defects commonly associated with manual visual inspection and traditional AOI systems. The APLEX Technology AVS-553 is equipped with Intel 14th Gen Core processors, supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory, and enables flexible GPU expansion without power consumption limitations, including support for the NVIDIA RTX 50 Series and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Series. At this year’s COMPUTEX, URSROBOT will introduce AMR BOX, the first solution in the industry to feature an integrated “brain + cerebellum” architecture, combining the edge AI computing core (“brain”) and low-level motion controller (“cerebellum”) into a single platform. It thoroughly addresses longstanding pain points in outdoor AMR development, including high development barriers, complex sensor integration, and lengthy deployment cycles. Whether applied to security patrols, facility management, or agricultural inspection, the AMR BOX significantly shortens the timeline from R&D to deployment for robotic development and system integration across industries, enabling faster adoption of outdoor autonomous mobile robot applications.

IV. “AI Hospital and Wellness ecosystem”: showcasing AI-assisted clinical care applications and demonstrating the Group’s collaborative strength in hardware, software, system integration, and real-world deployment.
In the smart healthcare sector, DFI introduced the medically certified MPC350-RPS edge computing system, offering stability, reliability, and scalability to meet the performance and compliance requirements of healthcare environments. The on-site demonstration also incorporated Group partner MarkeTop Smart Solutions’ wound AI recognition application. Through AI-powered automated wound image analysis, the system can instantly identify wound areas and types, assisting healthcare professionals with clinical assessment, improving measurement consistency, and reducing human errors. The solution also integrates with hospital information systems (HIS) for automatic record archiving, enabling more standardized and traceable clinical care workflows while comprehensively improving clinical efficiency in healthcare environments.

Supplementing with Peptides: Good for Extra Pep or a Needless Step

In the most basic of terms, peptides are short proteins: chains of amino acids, the body’s building blocks, that are between 2 and 50 units long.

Peptides and proteins alike are touted as a sort of fountain of youth by health and wellness influencers.

Here, Jorge Ruas, Ph.D., of the U-M Department of Pharmacology, talks about peptides, how they work and whether supplementing them lends any benefit.

How does what you study relate to peptides?

Ruas: My lab is very interested in the idea of organ-to-organ communication to understand how the body adapts to exercise.

For example, when you are running, your muscles release a variety of substances, including peptides and small molecules (metabolites), that together can inform the rest of your body, your brain, heart, liver, fat tissue, kidneys, about the state of your body’s systems.

And this is fundamental for your whole body to adapt to the benefits of exercise training.

We’re interested in it from a physiological perspective, because these are exactly the same mechanisms that get dysregulated in many diseases and from a pharmacology perspective, since we want to know if these substances can have therapeutic value.

Can you explain more about what peptides are and what they do?

Ruas: Proteins and peptides as made of amino acids linked together.

There are 20 different amino acids, 9 of which the body can’t make and has to take in from diet.

If you imagine each amino acid represented by a letter (which they can be), each peptide and protein can be any combination of those 20 amino acids in any possible order.

You can imagine it’s complicated to talk about their functions because they are so diverse.

One of the most familiar peptides is the hormone insulin, which is secreted from the pancreas to control blood sugar, by communicating with muscle, fat, the liver and the brain.

It’s involved in the systemic regulation of energy.

What is an example of a peptide drug?

Ruas: With peptide drugs, we are essentially trying to mimic what the body does naturally.

For example, GLP-1 is released by the intestine after a meal to stimulate insulin production and suppress appetite and tell you when to stop eating (GLP-1 analogues were initially developed to treat diabetes).

People have thought, well, if GLP-1 naturally suppresses appetite, let’s just use it to suppress appetite to treat obesity.

The problem is that the GLP-1 that the body makes has an extremely short half-like, meaning it goes into circulation and then quickly disappears.

What pharmaceutical companies were able to do is come up with a method so that after you inject GLP-1 it would last longer in circulation so that your brain is constantly receiving the message to stop eating.

What are some of the challenges that come with peptide supplementation?

Ruas: There is a whole class of drug investigation centered around identifying peptides the body’s organs use to communicate with each other and then trying to copy them.

One of the issues is with taking these drugs or supplements by mouth.

The acid and protein-digesting enzymes in the stomach break down proteins and peptides (that are too large to be absorbed into circulation) into their components, amino acids.

Those can then be absorbed in the intestine, distributed to the organs, and used for whatever processes the body needs.

So what’s absorbed into your body is no longer the peptide you ingested, but its building blocks.

The pharmaceutical industry has techniques to try to work around these limitations and produce something that has a consistent, reproducible effect that can be studied with clinical studies, a process that costs many millions of dollars.

Supplements don’t have this level of study or regulation.

While the idea of the peptide may not be wrong, non-regulated supplements are often produced without proper formulation, quality control or human testing.

What that means is that there’s not enough information or very small clinical studies to support their use.

And if they do exist, the results were not impressive, because otherwise people would have pursued them as pharmaceuticals (which would fall under FDA regulation.)

Do most people need supplements?

Ruas: If you have a balanced diet, you don’t need a supplement.

You will get all the amino acids you need from your food, unless you’re doing a restrictive diet.

And while you can provide your body with extra, it will not take what it does not need.

If you are actively exercising and lifting weights, then the supplementation of amino acids does have an effect because your body is building more muscle.

But the body of a sedentary person will either not use extra peptides and proteins or store that energy in the form of adipose tissue, or fat.

What is your message for people interested in peptides and the like for longevity?

Ruas: My most boring and repetitive message is to care about your diet, exercise and sleep well; this is not just my message, but what the World Health Organization recommends.

The movement of your body, the contraction of your muscles naturally releases a lot of these peptides and substances that keep you healthier, more alert and so on.

As for supplements, think about whether you really need them and what might be the price might be in the long run by ingesting or injecting something that is not properly validated for safety and efficacy.

In biology there’s always a price to pay.

The decision was reviewed during a high-level meeting chaired by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari at Lok Seva Bhawan, where officials discussed the implementation roadmap for the technology-driven surveillance network under the Inspector General of Registration (IGR).

For thousands of citizens visiting registration offices every year, the move is expected to simplify procedures, improve service delivery, and ensure that land registration processes remain transparent and free from undue interference.

Why AI readiness requires a new standard

Most APIs were designed with  human developers in mind. A developer can interpret ambiguous documentation, ask a colleague, or make an informed guess when an API description is incomplete. AI agents have much less context to work with . They require precise, machine-readable descriptions, predictable behaviour, and they should be given clear security guardrails. The vast majority of deployed APIs were not designed with those requirements in mind.

 

Until now, there has been no standardised way for engineering teams to measure that gap or track progress in closing it. The Jentic API Scoring tool is built to fill that role.

The six scoring dimensions assess whether an API’s descriptions are technically correct, clear enough for an agent to interpret, whether its behaviour is consistent and predictable, whether appropriate security controls are in place, and whether an AI system can discover and execute against it without human intervention.

Study Suggests Popular GLP-1 Drug May Slow Biological Aging

Glucagon-like peptide-1  receptor agonist medications have gained widespread attention for effectively treating obesity, lowering blood sugar and decreasing the risk of cardiovascular disease. Some researchers have proposed that these drugs may also influence the biology of aging, but direct evidence in humans has remained limited. Now, a new study provides the first randomized, placebo-controlled clinical evidence that semaglutide, a widely used GLP-1 drug, slows down the accumulation of biological aging markers in the DNA of adults with HIV. The study is published in Nature Communications.

Researchers at the University of California San Diego and several partner institutions analyzed data from a previously published clinical trial of 108 adults with HIV‑associated lipohypertrophy, a condition in which excess fat builds up around the abdomen. About half of the participants received weekly injections of semaglutide, with the rest receiving placebo injections.

The team used a set of biological “epigenetic clocks” to track cellular aging over the 32-week treatment period. These clocks detect DNA methylation, chemical marks on DNA that help regulate how genes are turned on or off without changing the genetic sequence itself. By measuring changes in these marks, the team could assess whether the treatment was associated with a slower or faster biological aging pattern.

People with HIV often experience accelerated aging, even if it is well-controlled with antiretroviral therapy, according to first author Michael Corley, PhD, associate professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine and the Stein Institute for Research on Aging. However, the study found compared to the placebo group:

  • Participants treated with semaglutide exhibited a broad pattern of slower biological aging across epigenetic clocks linked to inflammation and blood, brain, heart, kidney, liver and metabolic health.
  • The drug slowed the pace of biological aging by 9 %, as measured by the DunedinPACE epigenetic clock.
  • The drug significantly slowed biological processes associated with the risk of all‑cause mortality and age-related disease, as measured by the PCGrimAge epigenetic clock.

Research suggests there are several mechanisms by which semaglutide may influence biological aging. By reducing inflammation and metabolic stress, GLP-1 drugs decreased chronic immune activation, a primary driver of accelerated aging in people with HIV. They also reduce visceral and ectopic fat that accumulates around the abdomen and organs, which may help curb the inflammatory and metabolic signals that promote aging.

“Emerging data also suggest that GLP-1 drugs may reprogram certain cells in different organs, which could help explain why we see effects across multiple aging clocks,” said Corley.

While the study focused on people with HIV‑associated lipohypertrophy, Corley says it may also offer lessons for the wider population.

“Many of the biological processes we study in HIV are also central to aging in the general population,” he said. “Because these processes can emerge earlier or be more pronounced in people with HIV, this community can help us identify interventions that may improve healthspan more broadly.”

In a related pilot study published in npj Aging last month, Corley and another team of researchers found that taking semaglutide for 24 weeks:

  • Reduced the rate of biological aging for 42% of participants with HIV and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) — also known as fatty liver disease — as measured by the DunedinPACE epigenetic clock. Those participants also had a greater reduction in liver fat compared with participants whose pace of aging sped up. 
  • Slowed aging associated with the risk of all‑cause mortality in 34% of participants as measured by the PCGrimAge epigenetic clock.
  • Increased the length of telomeres — repetitive DNA sequences at the ends of chromosomes that protect genetic material — in nearly 49 % of participants as measured by the PCDNAmTL epigenetic clock. Those participants also tended to walk faster after treatment, suggesting better physical function.

Together, these studies add to growing evidence that GLP-1 drugs may influence pathways involved in biological aging.

“We are not saying that semaglutide reverses aging or makes people younger,” said Corley. “What we are seeing is a signal that it may slow some of the biological processes associated with aging. With newer GLP-1–based therapies now emerging, the field has an opportunity to test whether different drugs in this class have distinct effects on aging biology and to identify which patients may benefit most.”

Larger clinical trials are needed to confirm the findings, determine how long treatment effects last, and establish optimal dosing and treatment duration for both people with HIV and the broader population. Future studies will also be needed to test whether the effects of GLP-1 effects on aging biology are enhanced when combined with lifestyle interventions such as diet, exercise and sleep optimization.

The Stein Institute for Research on Aging plans to translate these results into individualized “aging dashboards” to track biological aging with epigenetic clocks, enabling clinicians to design personalized therapies that target the underlying mechanisms of aging and help prevent age‑related diseases.

Manipal Hospital Gurugram Performs Haryana’s First Robot-Assisted Ceramic Total Knee Replacement

Gurugram, June 2: In a significant advancement for joint replacement surgery, Manipal Hospital Gurugram has successfully performed Haryana’s first Robot-Assisted Ceramic Total Knee Replacement on a 54-year-old woman suffering from advanced osteoarthritis, obesity, and complications arising from a previous anterior cruciate ligament  and meniscal injury due to a fall.

Over time, the injury altered the natural mechanics of the knee, accelerating cartilage wear and leading to advanced osteoarthritis. The situation was further complicated by obesity, which placed additional stress on the damaged joint, making movement increasingly painful and significantly impacting her overall well-being. Given her condition, the team led by Dr. Sanjay Kapoor, Consultant – Robotic Joint Replacement & Orthopaedic Surgery, opted for a next-generation ceramic knee implant combined with robot-assisted surgery to achieve the highest possible precision and longevity.
