Biker with a Golden Voice: Badshah Calls Ipsit Pati ‘Suron Ka Striker’ After Stellar Indian Idol Performance
India’s biggest singing reality show, Indian Idol, is back for a highly anticipated Season 15 on Sony Entertainment Television! With auditions kicking off, the spotlight is on the contestants who must showcase their talent to achieve once-in-a-lifetime opportunities on and beyond this coveted stage. On the hunt for extraordinary voices and compelling stories, this season’s judges’ panel features much-loved rapper Badshah, the soulful Shreya Ghoshal, and the acclaimed composer/ performer Vishal Dadlani. Together, they are on the lookout for India’s next singing sensations.

Among many standout contestants is Bhubaneswar’s Ipsit Pati, a travel vlogger and a devout follower of Lord Shiva. Ipsit embarked on a spiritual and adventurous journey from Bhubaneswar to Trimbakeshwar, and then onward to Mumbai for his audition. During a heartfelt conversation before his performance, Ipsit bonded with Vishal Dadlani over their shared passion for biking. Vishal fondly recalled his early biking days, while Ipsit revealed that his vlog, documenting his spiritual journey remains incomplete, awaiting a final chapter.
Ipsit’s singing prowess stunned the judges as he performed a soulful rendition of ‘Kaise Hua’ from the movie ‘Kabir Singh.’ His performance captivated the room, leaving the judges in awe of his emotive voice.
Badshah was especially impressed and said, “When you sang, it felt like it was your own song. You made it completely yours. This happens to be one of my favourite songs, and you delivered it perfectly.” He playfully added, “Kehne ko hai biker, lekin hai ‘Suron ka Striker.’”
Shreya Ghoshal also expressed her admiration, admitting, “I thought you were more of an adventurer, with music as a side passion. But your voice is your true identity. You connected with the song so deeply, and that emotion came through in every note. You are not the voice of any hero, your voice is the real hero.”
Vishal Dadlani paid him the biggest compliment, saying, “I used to be a biker too, and now I’m thinking, after this, you won’t be doing bike tours but singing tours instead! Your voice cuts through with such power, and you truly made Kaise Hua your own. I guess my dream of a bike trip with you will have to wait until after Indian Idol.”

Marini makes the points, Mir taken out as Japanese GP concludes
Japan, October 07, 2024: An ultimately complicated weekend at Mobility Resort Motegi for the Repsol Honda Team, Luca Marini recovering to 14th while Joan Mir’s hopes were dashed on the first lap.
The pattern of the Japanese GP weekend continued in almost every aspect as the Repsol Honda Team battled ever-changing conditions and fortunes, working constantly to take the most from every situation before them. A brief shower during the Moto2 race, and even the white flag being shown during the MotoGP race, had some questioning if wet bikes would be needed but ultimately the entirety of the 24-lap race was run on slicks.

A trademark determined performance from Luca Marini saw the #10 climb his way through the field after a complicated start to his race. Initially dropping back, a steady string of laps saw Marini gain ground on the likes of Rins and Fernandez as he moved into the points. Crossing the line in 14th, Marini adds to his 2024 points haul and achieves satisfaction from a positive end to a weekend earmarked to be troublesome. More data and more progress as he and the Repsol Honda Team continue their confidence building end to the year.
Joan Mir’s race was an unfortunately short-lived affair once again. A strong start had him in 14th after just half a lap and Mir was primed to battle with the top ten until he was hit from behind by Alex Marquez and fell. Escaping injury, Mir leaves Japan disappointed after such promise early in the weekend.
After three races in a row, the Repsol Honda Team now prepare for a well-earned one week break before another run of three races. The action resumes on October 18th in Phillip Island, the majestic circuit hosting the Australian GP once again.
Luca Marini (14th)
“In the back there are always great battles and I was able to enjoy it today! On the first lap I lost quite a lot of time and a lot of positions, so it was a race of recovery. We knew from the start of the weekend that it was going to be difficult, so I think with a P13 and a P14 today that we have achieved something good. I think my rear tyre choice could have been better, so maybe we could have gained something there. But anyway, we learn and will be more prepared next year. Now we have a bit of rest and recover before another big three races.”
Joan Mir (DNF)
“At Turn 11 I overtook Alex Marquez after he went wide, then in Turn 12 he made contact with the rear of my bike, his bike became stuck between my seat and the wheel so I had to run on and crashed. It’s a shame because I was going really well in that first lap of the race and the pace we showed yesterday in the Sprint, something good was possible.”

Day of progress for the Repsol Honda Team in Japan
Japan, October 07, 2024: Steps forward for both Luca Marini and Joan Mir, the Italian taking a satisfying 13th while Mir’s performance is restricted by an early fall.
Hard work and a methodical approach paid off for Luca Marini on Saturday in Japan as he was able to make significant progress over the course of the day. Qualifying down in 20th, the only way was forward as the field lined up for the 12-lap Sprint in Japan. With the conditions changing minute-by-minute, a calm and focused approach would be the order of the day. Able to run within four tenths of his best race lap, a 1’45.418, Marini picked his way through the field to end in 13th and take top Honda honours.

Dark clouds gathering overhead throughout Free Practice 2 set the scene for a dramatic Qualifying. Joan Mir entered Q1 primed to fight for the transfer positions after making progress in the morning. The tricky conditions with small, intermittent showers of rain made for a tough session where Mir ended seventh. A lightning start saw the #36 gain places straight away in the Sprint, but a crash would nullify that progress. Remounting, Mir showed impressive pace as he consistently lapped in the mid to low 1’45s, matching the speed shown by the top ten. He retired at the end of the race.
Both riders were able to accomplish significant progress overnight and take positives from their respective performances. Sunday offers another chance for the Repsol Honda Team to not just focus on the positives but also demonstrate them. The 24-lap race is scheduled to start at 14:00 Local Time and is set to be another edge of your seat affair.
Luca Marini (13th)
“I was surprised at our pace; it was very close to the group in front of me and our position isn’t too bad, so I have to be satisfied with today when we look at where we were yesterday and where we started the race. We knew coming here that the layout of this track would be tough for us, but we have been able to fight and make progress which is the key. Now we need to check the data of the other riders to see what they are doing differently. Some more things to try in the morning to make another step, but we are making progress and able to do this at each race now.”
Joan Mir (DNF)
“It is easy to look at our position and be upset, but when we look at what happened today was a day of positives. On the first lap I almost high-sided at Turn 10 and then when I arrived to Turn 11 I couldn’t stop so I went into the gravel. I recovered and after a couple of laps I was able to really unleash my speed and I have to say I am happy with my pace. The speed was that same as the guys fighting in the top eight and we have to be happy with that level of improvement. A better grid position would help us a lot. Tomorrow I am feeling confident for the longer race with the speed we showed today.”

FOMO vs. FOBO – In A House Hunt, One Helps and the Other Hurts

By -Akash Pharande, Managing Director – Pharande Spaces
India’s real estate market provides many opportunities for home buyers. However, it is not easy to navigate, especially for first-time buyers. With so many options and also varying offers from developers, it is often difficult to decide which property purchase ticks all the right boxes for an individual buyer who has never purchased a property before.
Within this complexity, the psychological phenomena of FOMO – the Fear of Missing Out and FOBO – the Fear of Better Options – play big roles in homebuyer decisions. While FOMO can be advantageous in such decisions, FOBO leads to indecisiveness. This can have potentially harmful results.
FOMO and FOBO – Digging Deeper
FOMO is a state of anxiety induced by the fear that one is missing out on an exciting or lucrative opportunity. In real estate, FOMO is what drives timely purchase decisions. As we know, the best projects sell out quickly and prices are also constantly rising, so FOMO is a positive impulse.
On the other hand, FOBO – the Fear of Better Options – causes aspiring buyers and investors to overanalyze the available options. At any given time, more than just a few properties are available to homebuyers that meet their budget, ideal location and lifestyle expectations.
FOBO tends to paralyze the decision-making process because the buyer is constantly hoping to find a superior alternative even if they have already identified a very suitable option. There is, of course, nothing wrong with having plenty of options, but FOBO tends to get buyers stuck in an endless loop of indecision. This can cause them to miss out on perfectly good properties at acceptable price points.
FOMO Can Be Your Ally
Though FOMO has become a derogatory word on social media, it has its advantages. In the context of residential property, it can induce genuine buyers to make timely decisions. This is very important in a market where the best options are often sold out during promotional launches. Infrastructure development, demand, and escalating development costs are constantly pushing up property prices. Homebuyers who experience FOMO at the right time and act on it are often at an advantage in such a fast-paced market.
In many of our cities, projects in high-demand areas often have limited inventory. Once these options are sold and off the market, there may be no similar options available at such prices for a long time – or ever. FOMO helps buyers to overcome hesitation and act quickly when they see a property that meets their needs and budgets.
Likewise, home loan interest rates can be quite volatile, and they play a major part in the overall cost of acquisition. When interest rates are low, FOMO works to the benefit of buyers by driving them to apply for home loans and closing deals before interest rates go up once more. The same is true for periods of discounts, such as the festive season
First-time homebuyers undergo a lot of anxiety when the time comes to take the plunge. FOMO helps convert this anxiety into productive action. Once buyers finally make their commitment, the fear of missing out goes away and relief takes its place.

FOBO – The Fence-sitter Limbo
In contrast, a state of perpetual indecision leads to stress and regret if good options are missed out on. While FOMO can result in positive action, FOBO tends to freeze the decision-making process altogether. While scouting the housing market for a home, this can have catastrophic consequences.
FOBO results in an endless chase after a ‘better’ property, location, or deal. Buyers in this state of ‘analysis paralysis’ tend to see one favourable option after the other snapped up by someone else, or become too costly for them to buy.
With FOBO, a buyer who finds a home in a good area, in a project by a good developer, and at a price they can afford, will entirely miss the bus as they perpetually look for a better deal. By the time they circle back to the previous option, it is often too late.
The endless search for the ‘ideal’ option in a world where perfection is a myth only results in emotional distress and lost opportunities. Yes, the housing market is replete with options, but no single home buyer can – or should aspire to – inspect them all. Buyers with FOBO are invariably frustrated, confused people who cannot make up their minds on anything of significance.
In real estate, time is money and you can’t afford to lose either. A delay of even a couple of months can mean a substantial increase in property prices due to demand, inflation, or other market factors. FOBO’s inability to commit to a decision often results in missed chances to lock in properties at favourable prices or lower interest rates.
Over time, these costs add up, making the eventual purchase far more expensive than it would have been had the decision been made earlier.
Finding the Middle Ground
That said, there is also a healthy balance of FOMO and FOBO possible. It’s just a matter of finding that mid-point. Even if there is a sense of urgency, a buyer must not make hasty decisions and do his or her due diligence.
It is certainly important to see as many properties as is feasibly possible. This should not be a hurried process. It is best to set oneself a timeline within which a decision will be made. Usually, a month of dedicated searching is ample time. It is also important to factor in market conditions and to take professional advice before signing on any dotted line.
You want to leverage the urgency of FOMO and turn it into positive energy – but set realistic criteria. A buyer should have a list of ‘must-haves’ to refer to, and should not over-extend their budget. Set a limit to how big your shortlist should be.
If it starts getting endless, FOBO has taken over and it is time to snap out of it. You’re looking for a home that makes you happy, which you can afford, and which will appreciate well over time. Once you’ve found this home, make sure that you know that your hunt is over.
