Vivekanand Education Society Tulsi Technical Institute Launches First-Ever Paramedical UG Programs in Collaboration with SCOPE

Mumbai, July 15, 2025Vivekanand Education Society’s Tulsi Technical Institute has officially launched its first-ever undergraduate paramedical programs in collaboration with the Skilling College of Paramedical Education (SCOPE), a renowned training institute dedicated to empowering India’s next generation of healthcare professionals. Marking a transformative leap in skill-based healthcare education.

Starting this academic year, it will offer two additional Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) programs – a 3-year B.Voc. in Medical Imaging Technology and a 3-year B.Voc. in Medical Laboratory Technician. These programs are designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills, practical exposure, and will provide holistic training. The programs are open to students who have completed their HSC (10+2) in MCVC, Arts, Commerce, or Science streams, as well as those from pathology or paramedical vocational backgrounds. Each course has an intake capacity of 60 seats and an annual fee of approximately ₹58,000.

Chandigarh; 14th July, 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi concluded the third edition of its flagship outreach initiative, PRAYAS 3.0, with a formal valedictory ceremony held on campus. The program, aimed at fostering curiosity and scientific temperament among school students across the nation, provided an immersive a month long exposure to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The event brought together students from diverse schools across the region, offering them a unique opportunity to reside and learn at one of India’s premier technical institutes. Throughout the program, participants engaged in a dynamic mix of workshops, lectures, lab visits, and team projects all meticulously designed to make STEM education engaging and accessible.

Among the highlights of the program were the introductory computer programming classes, hands-on circuit design, mechanical prototyping activities, and problem-solving exercises. One of the highlights was the Robo Soccer competition, where students developed, programmed and controlled robotic systems to play a friendly soccer match among them. This was the first hands-on experience with robotics for most of the participants, and it created a deep sense of excitement and fulfillment.

Reflecting on the success of the program, a student mentor remarked, “The excitement on their faces as they controlled their robots on the soccer field was priceless, most students had never done anything even remotely close to this before.”

In his address, Dr Tushar Jain, Head CCE, IIT Mandi, emphasized the importance of early STEM exposure and applauded the students for their enthusiasm and adaptability. “PRAYAS is about planting seeds of curiosity, we hope this experience stays with these young minds for a lifetime and shapes the way they think about learning and the world. Through our interactive workshops, hands-on robotics, coding, and engineering design classes and exposure to cutting-edge research facilities at IIT Mandi, we aim to demystify science and technology for school students. We hope the learning and confidence they have gained here will leave an indelible mark, motivating them to become scientists, engineers, and innovators.”

Amid global challenges, JIRSMUN 2025 prepares students for real-world conversations

Bengaluru 14th July 2025:  JAIN International Residential School (JIRS), Bengaluru, a leading name in Indian residential education, is set to bring back one of the most anticipated academic gatherings on the school calendar with its Model United Nations Conference, JIRSMUN 2025, scheduled from August 29 to 31 to offer a vibrant platform for student voices from across the country.

Study, Stay, Succeed: Post-Study Work Policies Are Driving STEM Applications

11th July 2025: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) remains the top choice for international students who want to build strong careers in today’s fast-changing world. For years, countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany have led the way in offering world-class STEM education. But now, new countries are gaining attention.

The most recent Open Doors reports confirm that STEM fields are the most popular among international students in the United States. For the 2023/2024 academic year, 56% of international students in the US were enrolled in STEM fields, with Computer Science, Engineering, and Data Analytics among the most popular majors. In the 2021/22 academic year, 54% of all international students studied in STEM fields, and Math & Computer Science was the single largest field of study for international students. The Open Doors data also highlights that, while the US remains the top destination, students are increasingly exploring alternative countries for their studies.

As students and families compare their options, the most attractive countries for STEM education are those that combine strong academics with clear, practical pathways to employment and long-term success.

India, 11th July, 2025: Pearson , the world’s lifelong learning company, today announced key enhancements to Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, strengthening its value for Indian students pursuing international education and migration opportunities. These updates reinforce Pearson’s commitment to providing secure, AI-powered English proficiency assessments that reflect the real-world communication skills needed for academic and professional success globally.

Starting in August 2025, PTE Academic will include two new speaking tasks, namely, “Respond to a Situation” and “Summarize a Group Discussion”. Tufts University’s India Visit Forges New Academic Alliances

Delhi, July 10, 2025: In a significant step towards strengthening Indo-US academic ties, Tufts University, a globally recognized U.S. educational institution, has announced a landmark partnership with Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. The announcement was made on June 23 during a visit by the Tufts leadership team to India.

Both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance global scientific collaboration through this strategic partnership. The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. Sunil Kumar, the 14th President of Tufts University and a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

President Kumar was joined by Professor Christina Economos, Dean of the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. Under her leadership, the two institutions have created the Interdisciplinary Centre for Nutrition Science and Medicine (ICNSM). This Centre will be housed at IISc and provide nutrition education and research opportunities to medical students and faculty at both institutions. These efforts will address a wide range of diet-related concerns in India, the U.S., and around the world – including but not limited to anaemia, malnutrition, hypertension, diabetes, and metabolic disorders, among others.

“It is widely recognized that food choices and nutrition play a critical role in preventing, managing, and treating diseases, and continuous research and discovery optimizes care,” added Dean Economos.

The newly signed MoU and the establishment of ICNSM stand as a testament to the shared commitment of Tufts and IISc to advancing knowledge, addressing global challenges collaboratively, and driving constructive societal transformation. ‘’Our work on nutrition is the first of what we envision as a range of possible initiatives that our two institutions hope to pursue together,’’ said President Kumar.
