Rashmi Gupta Reveals Her Family’s Unexpected Reaction to Her Role in Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri: When you get married, we won’t…

rashmi gupta

When an actor plays their role so well that their own family starts teasing them, you know they’ve nailed it! That’s exactly what’s happening with Rashmi Gupta, who plays the cunning Mahuwa in Sun Neo’s show Rishto Se Bandi Gauri. She has taken the vamp role to such heights that her loved ones can’t help but tease her about it.

Talking about her character’s current track, she says, “Mahuwa has created chaos in the house. She is shown as a big enemy of the Bundela family and is always stirring up some drama inside the house. But since it’s a daily show, every villain gets their moment, and if she wins too easily, it won’t be fun for the viewers either. Now that Virendra has come back, it will be interesting to see whether he returned on his own or someone brought him back—this mystery will unfold soon. For now, all the doubts and blame are being pointed toward Mahuwa , but honestly, I’m enjoying this role.

Talking about her journey and how her family reacts to her on-screen avatar, Rashmi shares with a laugh, “Right now, I’m shown as the full-fledged vamp of the show—so negative that even my own family jokingly says, ‘When you get married, we won’t show this serial to your in-laws, you might break their house too.’ So yes, I even get to hear such comments, but I take it all sportingly because playing Mahuwa is such an exciting and intense experience for me.”

Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri tells the inspiring story of Gauri, a brave and compassionate young woman who, after being forced into an unwanted marriage with the Bundela family, decides to take control of her own fate with unwavering courage and belief. Starring Eshaa Pathak, Savi Thakur, and Swati Shah, Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri airs every day at 8:30 PM on Sun Neo.

Why Love Feels So Complicated in the Modern Age: Srishti Garg, Hamza Syed, Chandni Bhabhda, and Expert Kusha Bharadwaj Break It Down

L to R - Kusha Bharadwaj , Janice Sequeira, Srishti Garg, Hamza Syed and Chandni Bhabhda

Swipe culture, mixed signals, and fast-evolving labels— today’s dating landscape is messy, unpredictable, and emotionally exhausting. In this raw and engaging episode of The Healing Circle, hosted by Janice Sequeira and powered by coto, an emotional wellness platform, popular digital creators like Srishti Garg, Hamza Syed aka ‘The Green Flag Guy’, and creator and mimicry actor Chandni Bhabhda, along with Tarot Therapist Kusha Bharadwaj came together to discuss the chaos of modern romance. The conversation dives into the unrealistic expectations we place on each other and how emotional labels, social media, and shifting norms are reshaping the way we connect. With insight, humor, and raw honesty, the guests reflect on why finding love feels harder than ever and what it takes to build meaningful relationships.

In the 8th episode of the show, the guests go beyond dating buzzwords like breadcrumbing, catfishing, and nano-ships to explore the emotional undercurrents shaping today’s relationships. They discuss how gaslighting, avoidant personalities, and the lingering impact of childhood or generational trauma often shape how we love—or struggle to. The conversation also touches on gender roles, emotional responsibility, and how men and women in particular, may develop emotional walls due to life experiences. Gen Z’s evolving dating vocabulary—terms like “Situationship”—mirrors this complexity, revealing a generation craving connection but often overwhelmed by confusion. From narcissistic patterns and ghosting to blurred boundaries and low self-worth, this episode holds up a mirror to modern romance—and reminds us that real healing begins with self-awareness and emotional honesty.

Srishti Garg, a popular Gen Z digital creator, reflected on the emotional layers behind vulnerability and the courage it takes to truly feel, especially for Gen Z. She shared, “Our generation craves connection but is terrified of feeling too much. We swipe, scroll, and detach—hoping to stay in control—but the truth is, vulnerability is where the magic happens. You can’t feel love without also risking the ache that might come with it.” She went on to emphasize that embracing this emotional openness is essential for building authentic relationships. “When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we move beyond the situationships and soft-launches into something real. That’s when we open the door to deeper, more meaningful connections—and real healing. In my own relationship, I feel loved and cherished and I believe women are truly happy when they are the ones being loved more.”

Hamza Syed, Digital creator and comedian, offered a brutally honest perspective on the emotional complexities both men and women face in modern relationships. He shared, “Men don’t talk about what they want. Women overthink what they deserve. And somewhere in the middle, we’re all messing it up.” Reflecting on his personal journey, Hamza added, “I thought I was ready for love, but I was just lonely. There’s a difference.” He called out dating trends like ghosting and breadcrumbing, saying, “We’ve normalized avoiding discomfort, but real courage is having difficult conversations instead of disappearing.” Hamza also noted changing gender dynamics, “Women chase too, and that shifts the whole game.” He connected these patterns to generational trauma, revealing, “Growing up, my relationship with my dad was distant, which taught me to avoid emotional conversations. Healing has been key to breaking cycles and building healthier relationships.”

Chandni Bhabhda opened up about her personal experience with gaslighting and judgment in relationships. She shared, “I was once told by a guy that I was ‘too loud’—like my voice or presence was a problem. Another time, someone implied I wasn’t ‘hot enough.’ Those kinds of comments stuck with me for a long time,”. We end up comparing ourselves to others and seeking validation in all the wrong places.” She emphasized the importance of working on self-love and self-awareness. “The key is to stop chasing external approval and instead learn to accept and value yourself first. Only when you’re true to who you are can you form real, meaningful relationships with others.”

Kusha Bharadwaj, Tarot therapist, spoke about recognizing our emotional patterns in dating and understanding self-worth. She explained, “We attract what we feel worthy of. If we operate from a place of lack, we’ll keep finding people who confirm that lack.” She emphasized the importance of emotional clarity: “If someone’s presence makes you question your worth, that’s not love—it’s a signal to pause.” On dating, she added, “It often triggers old wounds like fear and rejection, but that’s where healing begins. Understanding your emotional patterns empowers you to choose love aligned with who you are.”

The Healing Circle, powered by coto, continues to provide expert insights into emotional wellness, relationships, mental health, and digital wellbeing. The show is exclusively available on Janice Sequeira’s YouTube channel, with new episodes every Tuesday and Friday.

Cashify Teams Up with Gaurav Kapoor to Launch ‘Cashify Lie Hard’: A Comedy Show That Makes You Guess the Truth

India, 20th May 2025: Cashify, India’s leading recommerce brand, has partnered with stand-up artist Gaurav Kapoor to present a new comedy game show called Cashify presents ‘Lie Hard’. It will be an 8-episode comedy series where hilarious storytelling meets audience sleuthing. With a rotating cast of comedy heavyweights like Anubhav Bassi, Harsh Gujral, Gaurav Gupta, Ravi Gupta, Gurleen Pannu and more, the series promises unexpected twists, straight-faced lies, and sharp, unscripted laughs.

This innovative format puts comedians in the spotlight with two rounds and a winner’s finale. In each round, they share a few personal stories. Only one is true, and the rest are total bluffs. The challenge? Make every story sound real. Fellow comics try to guess the truth, and the audience votes live. Then comes the twist: the Cashify Round, where the audience doesn’t just judge, they win real cash.

lie hard

Now streaming on Gaurav Kapoor’s YouTube channel, Lie Hard brings a fresh format of comedy that blurs the line between storytelling and game show, with new episodes dropping every two weeks.

Adding his perspective, Nakul Kumar, Co-founder & CMO, Cashify, said, “We’ve always loved doing things a little differently, and Lie Hard is exactly that. Just as Cashify is redefining how people sell their old phones—making it smarter, simpler, and more sustainable—this show brings a fresh and clever twist to comedy. It’s not just about entertainment, it’s about authenticity and creativity, which perfectly captures the spirit of our brand. Partnering with Gaurav and the killer lineup of comics felt like the perfect way to connect with our audiences while keeping our storytelling game strong.”

This collaboration is a strategic move by Cashify to deepen brand awareness and build top-of-mind recall across India. Gaurav Kapoor’s cross-generational appeal, reaching audiences aged 18 to 40, makes him a natural fit, aligning with Cashify’s mission to democratize tech ownership and reshape perceptions around pre-owned smartphones.

Lie Hard also signals a broader evolution in the brand’s marketing approach. From conventional campaigns to high-impact storytelling that builds emotional connection. It taps into the wit, originality, and creativity that not only define the show, but also mirror the values at the heart of Cashify’s recommerce journey.

Speaking about the collaboration, Gaurav Kapoor said, “I’ve always wanted to do something this wild, and Lie Hard nails it. It’s fun, clever, and keeps you guessing all the time. Smart stories, sharper comics, and the thrill of not knowing what’s true keep you hooked. Teaming up with Cashify made it even better. They got the vibe, backed the madness, and gave us the creative freedom to have fun with it. I’m sure people are going to love it.

All of the above is an absolute lie. I just thought about how I can run my YouTube channel with other people’s content. Cashify gave me a good deal and here we are with Lie Hard.”

“What struck me most about the story is how it speaks to anyone who’s ever dared to dream,” Mihir Ahuja speaks about the universal appeal of Amazon MX Player’s latest youth-centric series, Pyar, Paisa, Profit

Mumbai, India- 20 May 2025: Amazon’s free streaming service, Amazon MX Player, has sparked excitement with its latest fresh and compelling youth-centric series, Pyar, Paisa, Profit. Adapted from Durjoy Dutta’s bestselling novel Now That You’re Rich, Let’s Fall in Love, and helmed by director Prashant Singh, the show follows the story of Abhijeet—played by Mihir Ahuja—a bright, young man from Delhi navigating the cutthroat corporate world of Mumbai. Entangled in ambition, complicated relationships, and ethical dilemmas, Abhijeet’s journey mirrors the trials faced by a generation caught between heart and hustle. With Mihir Ahuja in the lead role, the series also boasts an ensemble cast featuring RJ Mahvash, Pratik Yadav, Shivangi Khedkar, Nitish Sharma, and Naman Upadhyaya in lead roles.

Mihir - Pyar Paisa Profit

Reflecting on what drew him to the project, Mihir shared, “I remember reading just the logline and immediately thinking, I have to be a part of this. But before diving in, I wanted to understand the director’s vision. When I sat down with Prashant and heard his perspective, everything aligned. What excited me even more was discovering that it’s based on Durjoy Dutta’s novel Now That You’re Rich, Let’s Fall in Love. I hadn’t read it myself, but friends who had vouched for it. They insisted it was a story I couldn’t pass up—and they were right. Once I saw the full picture, it felt like a journey I was meant to take.”

Speaking about the show’s universal appeal, he added, “What struck me most about the story is how it speaks to anyone who’s ever dared to dream. It’s about the fire people bring to big cities– the ambition, grit, and hope. While the second half dives into the world of corporate politics, it’s ultimately about people— Abhijeet, Garima, Saurav, and Shruti, all of whom represent different kinds of dreamers. If I talk about my character, Abhijeet, he comes from a small place in Delhi, someone who wants to make it big in Mumbai, but ends up choosing a path that challenges his morals. That conflict between ambition and morality— that’s what will resonate with audiences the most. These are choices we all face in different ways, which is why the story connects across age groups and genders.”

Pyar, Paisa, Profit is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available through its apps on mobile, Amazon’s shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Connected TVs.
