Noida, 30th June 2025: AAFT School of Fine Arts has named acclaimed contemporary artist George Martin as its new Industry Dean, underscoring the institution’s commitment to artistic innovation and industry relevance. Martin, celebrated for his vibrant abstract works and a career spanning over two decades, has exhibited globally, with notable solo shows at the Palette Art Gallery and India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, as well as the Bombay Art Gallery in Mumbai. He was the inaugural recipient of Art India Magazine’s Promising Artist Award in 2005.

“Art, to me, is about capturing the pulse of our times and translating lived experiences into visual narratives,” Martin said. “I am excited to work alongside AAFT’s talented students and faculty, helping them find the courage to take risks and the confidence to shape their creative journeys.”

Martin will lead the development of innovative programs in his new position, connecting industry demands with creative exploration. He wants to create an atmosphere where students feel free to try new things, work together, and develop their creative voices.
