Honeywell Technology to Power the World’s First Commercial-Scale Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier Project
Mumbai, FEBRUARY 16, 2024 – Honeywell today announced that ENEOS, a leading energy company in Japan, will develop the world’s first commercial scale Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) project using Honeywell’s solution at multiple sites.
The LOHC solution enables the long-distance transportation of clean hydrogen and can help meet the growing requirements for hydrogen use across various industries by leveraging existing refining assets and infrastructure. The project supports Honeywell’s alignment of its portfolio to three compelling megatrends: automation, the future of aviation and energy transition.
“With more cost-effective long-distance transport, our Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier provides a method of more closely matching international supply and demand for hydrogen which enables hydrogen to play a critical role in the energy mix as we move toward lower-carbon economies,” said Ken West, president and CEO of Honeywell Energy and Sustainability Solutions. “By providing solutions to help overcome the challenges of hydrogen transportation, Honeywell is supporting ENEOS in transitioning to a hydrogen-powered future.”
This is one of multiple hydrogen transportation projects on which Honeywell and ENEOS are collaborating. In the Honeywell LOHC solution, hydrogen gas is combined chemically through the Honeywell Toluene Hydrogenation process into methylcyclohexane (MCH) – a convenient liquid carrier – compatible with existing infrastructure. The hydrogen at these sites will be exported – in the same way as petrochemical products – to ENEOS in Japan in the form of MCH. Once at its destination, the hydrogen will be recovered using the Honeywell MCH Dehydrogenation process and released for use, while the toluene can be sent back for additional cycles.
Hydrogen is expected to play a critical role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. At standard conditions, hydrogen is a flammable gas with low density and cannot be efficiently or easily transported. Current solutions available for transporting hydrogen include liquifying the hydrogen and using chemical carriers such as ammonia, each of which requires additional infrastructure to produce and transport hydrogen.

![]()
STEAM education nurtures critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for the 21st- century workforce. It promotes transparent evaluation and cultivates self-discovery, empowering children to create tangible solutions and become lifelong learners.
Reflecting on the success of the fest, Mr. Pankaj Sharma, President, The Lexicon Group of Institutes, Chairman & MD, Pune Times Mirror, Civic Mirror, and MultiFit, remarked, “STEAM education is essential for preparing students for the challenges of the future. With focus on not only the ‘how’ and ‘what’, but also the ‘who’ and ‘why’, the STEAM Fest is specifically designed to develop future innovators. At The Lexicon Schools, integrating STEAM into the curriculum fosters well-rounded individuals equipped to tackle the dynamic, multifaceted challenges of the modern world, ensuring their education remains relevant and future-proof.”
Participants engaged in different projects, exemplifying the fusion of art, science, technology, and engineering. The young minds delved into math-related activities and presented projects focused on cleanliness and hygiene. Primary students delved into robotics, and environmental sustainability at the fest. Their projects on mechanical water pumps and balloon cars displayed their grasp of engineering principles, while the exploration of the water cycle and projects on thermal conductivity delved into scientific concepts. Moreover, an anatomical display of the human body provided valuable insights into biology, and the air quality monitoring project raised awareness about the pressing issue of air pollution.
Senior students engaged with advanced concepts, such as IoT and road safety. They also created kaleidoscopic displays, developed rainwater detection systems, and presented anatomical models.
STEAM education, with its integrated and holistic approach, aids students in perceiving challenging subjects from different perspectives. YFLO organised a session “Design Your Story” to inspire young FICCI Ladies
Hyderabad, February 16, 2024: Young FICCI Ladies organisation organised a unique session, “Design Your Story” in the city on Thursday at Hotel ITC Kakatiya, Begumpet.

The session featured two distinguished speakers who have significantly influenced the realms of storytelling and design.
One of the speakers was Karishma Mehta, a writer and photographer. Another distinguished speaker Riddhi Khosla Jalan, a prominent design influencer
They were in conversation with Arthi Shah, Chairperson of YFLO. Karishma Mehta said the most important step was the first step when you begin. The stories we curated and told not only enlightened the people but also impacted the lives of the people whose stories we told. We also raised money and helped them come out of their situation. One such situation was a lady with five daughters who was expecting a sixth one, hoping to be a boy. Her husband who was an alcoholic manhandled her. She was hospitalised and her husband was sent to jail. Our story ensured financial security for them and we raised Rs 25 lakhs she shared.
Another story was of Ali Bhai of Jammu Kashmir, who spent 23 years in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. We have helped him, as well as, raised money to bail out women from sexual work. Our stories made a huge difference to people, she narrated.
Riddhi Kosla Jalan told how twists and turns shaped her life for where she is today. From interior designer to the owner of a kid’s furniture store, she has now reached a place where she is known for her design influence. My goal is to be among the best design influencers in the world, she said.
Whatever you see me on Instagram is 100% me, she shared. She also shared how from being a designer she turned out to be managing media as a design influencer. I invest in good quality people who help me manage my professional duties. She advised her participants not to compete with contemporaries, but rather collaborate.
Giving her opening remarks Arthi Shah, Chairperson of YFLO said let’s embrace the convergence of these two worlds and explore how stories can be crafted and enhanced through thoughtful design. Both Karishma and Ridhi have exemplified the theme of learning, exploring, and executing in their respective fields, leaving an indelible mark on their audiences.
I hope this event inspires you to design your own compelling story, Arti said.
One of the speakers is Karishma Mehta, a writer and photographer. She is the founder and manager of the website Humans of Bombay and the author of the related book Humans of Bombay.
Inspired by the Humans of New York (HONY) website, the Humans of Bombay website carried the stories and lives of people in Mumbai. Humans of Bombay showed that every person is unique, inspirational, and relatable. It has successfully built a community of more than three million people who believe in the power of humanity. Karishma Mehta started ‘Humans Of Bombay’ – a page that today has over a million followers on Facebook and twice as many on Instagram. She is also a freelance writer and TEDx presenter.
Another distinguished speaker Riddhi Khosla Jalan, a prominent design influencer, offers valuable insights into the creation of visual narratives and leveraging design for impactful storytelling.
