Mouthwatering Awadhi delicacies now served at Awadhi Dastarkhaan, Tolichowki!

Hyderabad, January 4rd, 2024: The exclusive restaurant of authentic Awadhi cuisine, Awadhi Dastarkhaan is all set to tantalise the taste buds of foodies in Hyderabad with the exquisite cuisine from the land of nawabs and kebabs, Lucknow. The restaurant was formally inaugurated at Tolichowki, today. Vijay Kumar Reddy, Managing Partner, Awadhi Dastarkhaan; briefed the media about the exclusive restaurant & the authentic Awadhi cuisine.

resturant

Awadhi cuisine known to be the recipe of the royals, was widely patronised by the erstwhile royal families in North India. It’s cooking style is similar to that of Central Asia and Middle East. The Awadi cuisine has a range of succulent and aromatic biryanis, juicy and scrumptious kebabs, unique desserts and much more.

The hundred seat Awadhi Dastarkhaan at Tolichowki, spans across a generous 2700 sft., offering an ambience that invites you to enjoy a cosy and delicious meal with family and friends. The restaurant offers a comprehensive platter of unique tastes of Awadh including biryanis, dry items, curries, gravy items and wide varieties of rolls.

Photo 19 - Chicken BBQ roasted

Our first Awadhi restaurant at Gachibowli, Tundey Kebabi, has been a roaring success with patrons relishing our offerings and wanting more, be it walk in customers or orders through food aggregators. During last Ramzan, our food counter in Tolichowki had a footfall well beyond our expectations, these gourmets followed us to our Gachibowli restaurant and kept urging to have one in their neighborhood. To fulfill this popular demand, we started Awadhi Dastarkhaan at Tolichowki, says Vijay Kumar Reddy, Managing Partner, Awadi Dastarkhaan.

The delicious Ulta Tavva Paratha, the famous Lucknow sweet Phirni are among the not to miss exclusive items at the restaurant. Some of the mouthwatering Awadhi delights being made available exclusively in Hyderabad at Awadhi Dastarkhaan for gastronomes are Mutton Gelouti Kebab, Mutton Nihari, Chicken Afghani, Chicken Katti Kebab etc. These specialty dishes will capture the hearts of connoisseurs through their stomachs with every flavorful bite.

food

I initially did research to find out which type of restaurant people want and decided to set up a restaurant which serves food not available here. In the process went to Lucknow, there I met people behind fifty-year-old brand, Tundey Kababi. Started a franchise of Tundey Kababi in Gachibowli in September 2020 and it was a huge success. Tundey Kababi was not keen to give further franchisees, therefore we are opening our second restaurant in the name of Awadhi Dastarkhaan. The Lucknow, Kanpur belt is known as Awadh, which is famous for its traditional food, that was also a princely state with Nawab of Awadh, ruling it and patronizing this food. Awadhi food is non-spicy and delicious. The reason for setting up this restaurant is the demand for such food from IT professionals migrating from different parts of the country. Several Hyderabadi Muslims to cherish Awadhi recipe and they didn’t have access to authentic Awadhi food. I am planning to have my next restaurant at Nallagandla. Our signature item is Gelouti Kebab made of mutton kheema with different spices, mutton nihari and multiple kebabs, we serve complete range of Awadhi cuisine. Awadhi Dastarkhaan provides variety of food which is not available locally and therefore relished by the foodies, those looking for choice and non-spice food, Vijay Kumar Reddy added.

Rahul Wagh, Managing Director, Inflection Point Ventures, says, “Today when everything is digital, our education still relies on outdated methods and uninspiring textbooks. Maidaan addresses this by integrating learning into interactive games and quizzes, challenging the conventional notion that education is limited to the classroom. By breaking down the boundaries between learning and gaming, With Maidaan, children can seamlessly blend education with play. It shows a bright and promising future not just to kids but to investors as well.”

Commenting on Maidaan’s potential, Bhawna Bhatnagar, Co-Founder of EvolveX, expressed, “For most of the students, the first taste of competition beyond school walls occurs at a national level. Being unprepared for this reality results in an unpleasant shock, fostering self-doubt and a lifelong fear of competition, which hinders progress in a competitive life thereafter. Parents are well aware of this challenge but lack easily accessible means to alleviate this fear. Maidaan seeks to transform this narrative by providing every aspiring individual a stage to discover themselves. At EvolveX, we are committed to supporting Maidaan in this mission through continuous assistance, mentorship, and guidance.”

Judhajit Bal Co-Founder & CEO, Maidaan, says, “Beyond the top 5% elite in India, millions of students don’t get a chance to experience a world beyond the walls of their schools before Class 12, reducing the potential of social mobility. The only way to solve this is to make exposure-beyond-school truly accessible and affordable in a language & format that students understand and speak themselves. We’re thrilled to have IPV & EvolveX onboard and backing us to solve this.”

In just 9 months, Maidaan achieved remarkable milestones, growing its user base tenfold to over 2000 users. The platform has secured pivotal strategic collaborations with schools on annual and quarterly levels, all while maintaining exceptional engagement and robust user retention rates on the platform.

In Middle-India households, the age group of 5-15 is projected to exceed 100 million children by 2030, indicating a substantial market. Additionally, the supplemental learning segment, encompassing education beyond schooling, is forecasted to reach a significant USD 5 billion market value in India alone by 2030.

The project aims to strategically focus on community awareness of eye health and to create an environment where the stakeholders can contribute, in strengthening the eye health systems. As part of the project, a Vision Centre will be established at the block level, equipped with eye screening facilities, and skilled eyecare professionals, including Optometrists and Community Health Workers (CHWs) et al, will provide services at these centres.

In addition, to ensure widespread accessibility, community outreach camps will be organized in remote locations, and offering door-to-door eye screening services to the beneficiaries in select locations as a pilot. The outreach team will conduct awareness campaigns in communities, aiming to enhance knowledge about the importance of eye health services and their availability.
