Swiggy’s SNACC Launches Bengaluru’s First ‘Droolboard’ to Celebrate 10-Minute Meals

National; May 23rd, 2025: Swiggy Limited, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, turned heads and sparked smiles with its one-of-a-kind installation at Forum Mall, Koramangala, a larger-than-life emoji billboard that was quite literally drooling, for SNACC. The ‘Droolboard’ was a playful take on how irresistible the food from SNACC, Swiggy’s 10-minute snack and beverage delivery service.

The idea is simple yet bold: the food on SNACC is so fresh and delicious, even a billboard can’t help but drool. Featuring an oversized 3D smiley face complete with a dramatic ‘drool’ element spilling off the edge, the billboard brings alive the joy (and hunger) that SNACC dishes promise to deliver in just 10 minutes.

swiggy

Conceptualised by Swiggy’s internal creative team and brought to life by Madison, the installation combines visual humour with strategic placement, right at one of Bengaluru’s busiest lifestyle hubs, ensuring it’s impossible to miss. From identifying the ideal location to managing the end-to-end execution, Madison helped turn the quirky concept into reality.

The Droolboard’s impact is designed to linger, sparking curiosity, camera clicks, and conversations. It’s an extension of what SNACC stands for: speed, taste, and a little bit of fun in every bite. With SNACC, Swiggy continues to innovate the way India snacks, serving up hot meals faster than you can scroll through a menu.

SNACC was launched early this year with Bengaluru as the first city and is designed to ensure quick discovery and check out as well as fast delivery. It is also live in Noida and Gurugam. SNACC also offers a range of beverages for customers to choose from- tea, coffee, cold beverages like iced coffee, amongst others.

Designed for urban professionals and time-starved users, SNACC focuses on speed, quality, and quick discovery.

redBus’ New Campaign ‘Bass! – Bus Karo, redBus Karo’ Puts a Clever Spin on Everyday Hindi Saying

National, May 23, 2025 — redBus, the world’s largest online bus ticketing platform, has rolled out its latest ad titled Bass! – Bus Karo, redBus Karo campaign, crafted to establish ‘bus’ as synonymous with redBus in the minds of Indian consumers. This is in line with redBus’ long term brand tagline of ‘Bus Yaani redBus’. With a clever play on the commonly used Hindi word “Bas” meaning ‘stop’, especially popular in Hindi-speaking and adjoining regions, the campaign blends cultural familiarity with humorous storytelling to drive top-of-mind awareness and deepen brand connect. Designed specifically for regions where “Bas” is used in daily life to express everything from finality to frustration, redBus transforms this phrase into a recall mechanism, subtly nudging users to think: if it’s bus, it must be redBus. Each ad in the series leads to the line: “Bus yaani redBus.”

The films leverage relatable, exaggerated situations to build emotional engagement while reinforcing the brand’s position as the go-to destination for online bus booking. The films have been conceptualized by Leo Burnett.

The campaign is being rolled out across a mix of high-impact platforms, including leading television channels, streaming platforms like Jio Hotstar during live IPL matches. In addition, redBus will also brand autos for this campaign.

Film 1: Damaad

A young groom visiting his in-laws is force-fed sweets. He tries to protest with “Bass…bass…” but is drowned out. The whole family, unbothered, holds up their phones which show the redBus homepage, stating: “Bus yaani redBus.”
Tradition meets tech with sweet comic timing.

Film 2: Theatre

A couple shares a flirty moment at the cinema. The man responds to the woman’s advance with a giggle and says, “Bass…” Moments later, the audience and even the on-screen actor flash their redBus app on their phones, chanting: “Bus yaani redBus.”

Romance interrupted, brand remembered.

Film 3: Newsroom

In a chaotic news debate, the anchor finally snaps and yells, “Bass!!!” Instantly, everyone -from panelists to studio crew-raises their phones in sync: “Bus yaani redBus.” A satire on media overload, turned brand moment.

Film 4: Train Bridge

On a busy station overpass, a young man hilariously pleads with a TTE to confirm his waitlist ticket through distant family connections. The TTE shuts him down with: “Arey bas kar.” Vendors and porters chime: “Bus yaani redBus”. The film ends with a voiceover of “Train ki tickets waitlisted ho toh redBus karo.” A slice-of-life scenario, turned brand anthem.

Pallavi Chopra, CMO, redBus, said “The ‘Bass! – Bus Karo, redBus Karo’ campaign is built to create synonymity between redBus as a brand and the bus travel category. As one of India’s largest online bus ticketing platforms, our focus is on becoming the first and only name people think of when it comes to booking intercity bus travel. This campaign takes a deeply familiar local idiom and through clever wordplay, inserts the brand into general parlance. This ensures that the redBus brand name is firmly entrenched in everyday moments and the consciousness of bus travelers.”

Half of India’s Workforce Left Unskilled in the Past Year: upGrad Enterprise Report

Mumbai, May 23, 2025: upGrad Enterprise – the corporate skilling division of Asia’s leading integrated lifelong learning company, upGrad has launched a groundbreaking industry report titled ‘Skilling Smarter: A Strategic Guide to Training Across Generations’.

Based on insights from 12,300+ professionals across sectors, the report exposes the growing disconnect between employee needs and existing corporate training frameworks — driven by the evolving expectations of a multigenerational workforce.

Despite widespread recognition of upskilling as a business imperative, the report reveals that 50% of India’s workforce remained untrained in FY24-25, while 75% of employees engaged in learning only when mandated. Nearly 1 in 2 Indian workplaces still lack formal skilling strategies, resulting in inconsistent access and widening capability gaps. The findings highlight a lack of personalisation, access, and relevance in training models across generational cohorts, be it the pragmatic Gen X, the independent Gen Y, or the digital-first Gen Z.

 Key findings include:
• 1 in 4 workplaces lack formal strategies: 50% of professionals receive no training in FY24–25; only 16% engaged in quarterly learning
• Mandates outweigh motivation: 75% train only when required; top barriers include irrelevance (51%), limited access (43%), and lack of time (42%)
• Mismatch in priorities: Organisations invest in technical and industry-focused skilling, while employees seek leadership, soft skills, and strategic thinking
• One workforce, many learners: Gen X values expert-led formats, Gen Y prefers structured flexibility, and Gen Z wants immersive, on-demand learning — yet 63% of HR leaders do not tailor programs by generation
• Skilling design vs learner preference: While 80% of GenZ train under managers, nearly 50% prefer self-paced or third-party learning formats
• Low investment, low ROI: 60% of HR Leaders allocate under 5% of HR budgets to skilling; 61.5% of CHROs report no measurable impact
• Format fatigue: 50% of GenZ equate skilling with preset digital modules, but 45% want interactive, real-world learning

“There’s a serious skilling gap emerging; we see companies budgeting annually but there’s very little to no skilling provided to employees. Let’s not forget that the pace of technology is outstripping organisational readiness, and we are not ready for the ripples it’s going to create very soon. With this report, we want to go out with a strong message that in a multigenerational workplace, skilling — AI-focused and embedded with soft skills — must adapt to the learner’s needs, and not the other way around,” said Srikanth Iyengar, CEO, upGrad Enterprise. “Without personalized, real-time, and career-aligned learning, training becomes a checkbox activity – ineffective at best, costly at worst. This is where, our decade-long experience has been enabling us to design industry-relevant pedagogy and content – rooted in deep learner intelligence. We leverage workforce data effectively to craft adaptive learning journeys that align individual career aspirations with organisational goals, and ensure skills are not just acquired, but applied meaningfully for business impact.”

“Our goal with this report was to spark action, not just conversation, by grounding our insights in unassailable data and living our belief that ‘data or it didn’t happen.’ What sets ‘Skilling Smarter’ apart is its dissection of the multifaceted challenges of a multigenerational workforce, built upon insights from over 12,300 professionals. This was a deliberate effort to ensure diverse representation and bring serious numbers to bear on serious issues. This rigorous foundation allows us to provide concrete, actionable frameworks for India Inc. As a leader in lifelong learning, upGrad understands the imperative of tailoring education to the learner. This report is our contribution to helping CHROs, L&D heads, and CXOs unlock the full potential of their talent investments by fostering a culture of relevant, outcome-linked, and truly impactful learning” added Shirin Rai Gupta, Director – Marketing, upGrad Enterprise.

The report serves as a strategic guide for CHROs, L&D heads, and CXOs, offering practical frameworks to future-proof their talent investments. It advocates for deeper personalisation, cross-generational thinking, and outcome-linked learning.
