Pune | 27th April 2024: With an aim to provide comprehensive cancer care, Manipal Hospital in Baner, Pune, has introduced a state-of-the-art cancer centre to offer the entire spectrum of advanced cancer therapies under one roof. Car Owners Demand Better Roads from 2024 Political Contenders, Park Survey Unveils

Delhi, 27th April 2024 | Park+, a super app for car owners, today released the results of a comprehensive survey designed to understand Indian car owners’ expectations from political parties contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The survey sample consisted of over 50,000 car owners from Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Chennai.

With over 4.5 Cr+ cars running on Indian roads today, Indian car owners form the backbone of the Indian middle class. Their demands for better roads, friendly traffic police personnel, and better traffic management are key election demands that political parties can address to bring delight back to owning a car in India.

Key findings from the survey include–

• Top priority given to better road infrastructure by car owners (98%)
• 81% of Indian car owners demand a more friendly traffic police force (both men & women)
• Followed by better management by traffic police to counter road rage/dangerous driving (61%)
• 83% of women car owners want more women traffic police personnel on highways & main roads
• 72% of car owners felt that waterlogging was a major concern during monsoon season

Citywise key findings:

• Top 3 demands by Delhi NCR car owners: Friendly traffic police personnel, Better road infrastructure, better traffic management during office hours

I am optimistic that this survey will catalyze the political parties to address these issues and make Indian roads safer and smarter. The Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Limited (SMIORE) – Strategic business acquisition of Arjas Steel Private Limited

SMIORE has signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with an entity affiliated with ADV Partners, an Asia-focused private equity firm to acquire a controlling interest in Arjas. The transaction has been agreed at an Enterprise Value of ₹ 3,000 Crore and will be subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Through this transaction, ADV will fully divest its interest in Arjas marking another successful exit from its India portfolio.

This strategic business acquisition accelerates SMIORE’s forward integration plans into steel & value-added products, and unlocks the potential for numerous synergies and integration. Arjas is among the top 5 special steel manufacturers in India supplying to the automobile sector.

Arjas operates out of 2 plants spread across nearly 950 acres, its flagship manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh and another facility in Punjab through its wholly-owned subsidiary Arjas Modern Steel Private Limited. Arjas is currently undergoing a major expansion at both its facilities, which will enhance its consolidated capacity as well as expand its downstream facilities.

India is one of the fastest-growing steel & automobile markets in the world, Arjas is geared up to benefit from the ample opportunities for the alloy steel industry in India. New Delhi, 27th April 2024: Direct-to-customer (D2C) merchants from Delhi-NCR, such as the hair extension and wigs platform provider HairOriginals, homegrown fashion brand Little Box, and footwear brand Bacca Bucci, today announced that they have witnessed up to 5-10x growth in demand after the Shark Tank India episode went live. These developments were shared by the founders on the sidelines of the 23rd Chapter of Simpl’s D2C Unlocked, a flagship community-led founders event held on April 25th.

The event included Jitendra Sharma, founder of HairOriginals, Natwar Agrwawal, Founder of Bacca Bucci and Rimjim Deka, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Little Box, Nikhil Rajpal of Hero Electronics who spoke to dozens of D2C founders from the state.
