The Cummins non-emission M15 diesel engine features an electronic fuel system designed to enhance fuel economy and drivability for operators. L10 diesel engine

The L10 diesel engine with up to 454 hp (338kW) output extends heavy-duty robustness down to a 10-liter displacement. The key benefits of this engine include improved productivity over legacy mechanical engines, significantly higher fuel efficiency, and increased oil drain intervals, leading to lower downtime and maintenance costs. Moreover, the electronic control interface provides better control over the engine’s response to load demand. This engine is befitting for applications like 900 cfm to 1250 cfm Compressor, 65T to 80T Excavators, and others.

B6.7H – Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine

The B6.7H hydrogen engine with up to 290 hp (216 kW) output and 1200 Nm peak torque features cutting-edge technology with diesel-like performance on thermal efficiency and power density. When paired with green hydrogen it emits zero carbon, making it a suitable product for a sustainable future. Developed on a fuel-agnostic platform, it provides customers with the flexibility to quickly adapt and offer varied fuel options.

It offers improved NOx conversion efficiency that removes over 99% of all particulate matter (PM) by weight and count. The product is optimized with a liquid-only, freeze-robust UL2.2 dosing system, which significantly improves reliability. ‘Made in India’ with over 70% localized components, this product readily adapts to a variety of applications as it is available in catalyst diameters ranging from 5.66 inches (0.144 meters) to 13 inches (0.330 meters).

 Congratulating Jakson on this remarkable achievement, Mr. Ashwath Ram, Managing Director – Cummins India, said, “The inauguration of Jakson’s new genset plant in Phaltan signifies a remarkable milestone for us. It will further strengthen our trusted partnership, which spans nearly five decades and has been built on common values shared by Cummins and Jackson.”

 Extending the wishes further, Ms. Anjali Pandey, Chief Operating Officer – Cummins India, added, “Cummins and Jakson share a commitment to excellence, and it’s heartening to see Jakson expanding its operations in Phaltan.  The facility is expected to positively impact the local community, providing employment opportunities for over 200 individuals and making substantial contributions to the local economy. The company also plans to develop essential facilities and support systems for nearby villages, contributing to indirect economic growth.  Signifying 75 years of trust & excellence of Jakson Group, a tree plantation drive was also initiated during the inauguration ceremony.

 Jackson Group in solidifying its position as a premier energy conglomerate, has also marked its footprints with its other modern manufacturing setups including Solar PV Module manufacturing unit at Noida, equipped with an advanced fully automated production line of 1.2 GW. Aligning its mission to spearhead the nation’s transition to clean energy, Jackson has also ventured into other Green Energy derivatives including green hydrogen, electrolyzer manufacturing, and biofuels.

Bengaluru, 12th December 2023 – The Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA), part of the esteemed Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), observed its illustrious Annual Day & Awards Ceremony on Thursday, 7th December 2023. Celebrates Annual Day & Awards Ceremony 2023

The ceremony’s highlight was its Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) theme, titled “Celebrating Micro Cuisines of India with a Sustainable Development Goal Focus.” This theme underscored WGSHA’s commitment to sustainability and celebrated India’s rich and diverse culinary heritage, spotlighting lesser-known micro cuisines from Bikaner, Indore, and Bhubaneswar.

Dr. Chef K. Thirugnanasambantham, Principal of WGSHA, presented the Annual Report for 2023, outlining the college’s milestones, including accreditations, collaborations, student achievements, international study tours, and faculty recognitions. Mr. Sanjay Bose, the Chief Guest, lauded WGSHA’s contributions to national building and its partnership with ITC Ltd. He praised WGSHA for its emphasis on nurturing not only academic excellence but also human values and conscience. The Guest of Honour, Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, commended WGSHA for its exceptional service during the MAHE Convocation and its participation in the G20 summit at New Delhi. He highlighted WGSHA’s national and global reputation as a premier hotel school and its significant contribution to MAHE’s impressive NIRF rankings.

The ceremony also witnessed the release of a book titled “Lived Experiences of Hospitality Connoisseurs”, featuring 52 short cases authored by WGSHA faculty members. Key awards of the evening included ITC Chairman’s Gold Medals for academic excellence and the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus and Alumna Awards for 2023, conferred to Mr Giju Varghese and Ms. Sumita Kaul, respectively. The event concluded with a cultural extravaganza, featuring energetic dances and drama, followed by a themed dinner prepared by student chefs, paying homage to the culinary delights of Bikaner, Indore, and Bhubaneswar. This annual celebration not only marks the achievements of WGSHA but also its unwavering commitment to educational excellence and sustainable practices, setting a benchmark in hospitality education.
