Swiggy And Red Fm Celebrate Delivery Partners With Heartwarming Breakfast Rides Across 10 Cities

National, May 06th, 2025 — What happens when the nation’s most dedicated riders get a chance to ride for themselves—for joy, not duty? In a unique and heartwarming collaboration, Swiggy Limited, (NSE: SWIGGY / BSE: 544285), India’s pioneering on-demand convenience platform, and Red FM’s Riders Music Festival brought that answer to life with Breakfast Rides across 10 cities, turning the spotlight on the everyday heroes behind your food deliveries.

The initiative saw over 250 Swiggy delivery partners join Red FM RJs for early morning rides that culminated in a warm breakfast and a visit to the city’s Red FM studios—a first-time experience for many. Held in 10 cities namely Lucknow, Nagpur, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Dehradun, Patna, Jamshedpur, Siliguri and Surat, these rides weren’t just about the road—they were about recognition, and shared moments of joy.

Painting the town orange, these rides gave delivery partners the chance to celebrate and engage with regional radio jockeys. For many, this was their first time visiting a radio station.

More than just a symbolic gesture, the Breakfast Rides were an extension of Swiggy’s deeper, ongoing commitment to the lives and livelihoods of its delivery partners. At the heart of Swiggy’s ecosystem, these executives are more than partners—they are the face of reliability and resilience in India’s on-demand economy.

Speaking on the initiative, Rohit Kapoor, CEO, Swiggy Food Marketplace, said “We often speak of delivery partners as the backbone of our business. But sometimes, they also become the heartbeat of a city. The Breakfast Rides were about pausing, celebrating, and creating moments of shared humanity. Watching our partners ride for themselves for once was a reminder of the joy that comes from being recognised. We’re grateful to Red FM for helping us bring that feeling to life.”

Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Nisha Narayanan, COO & Director, Red FM & Magic FM said, “After the energy of Riders Music Festival was on a pause for this year, Red FM was thrilled to keep the spirit alive in a truly special way. Across multiple cities, we had the honour of hosting our delivery partners who are the everyday champions in keeping our lives moving. Through a series of Breakfast Rides, we invited them to trade their usual routes for open roads, great music, and a well-earned meal. It was our small way of saying thank you, and we were proud to create moments of joy, connection, and celebration just for them.”

Each ride was made memorable by the participation of city-specific Red FM RJs, who not only led the breakfast rallies but also invited the delivery partners into their studios—a first-time, awe-inspiring experience for many. Stories were shared, laughs echoed on-air, and the energy of the moment was broadcast live, allowing listeners to glimpse the lives of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes. A number of well-known RJs participated in the Breakfast Rides including RJ Mohak from Lucknow, RJ Akash from Nagpur, bringing his signature energy to the event. On March 11, RJ Abhi hosted the ride in Bhubaneswar. RJ Gaurav from Dehradun, RJ Ravindra from Jaipur, RJ Shivv from Indore, RJ Nidhi from Jamshedpur, RJ Priyanka from Siliguri, RJ Utsav from Surat, RJ Purab and RJ Swati from Delhi.

To sum up, The Breakfast Rides weren’t just a celebration of the delivery partners, but a reminder of the power of recognition, joy, and the incredible contributions these everyday heroes make to our lives.

Over the years, Swiggy has launched initiatives to empower delivery partners both on and off the road. Project Next provides pathways for partners to transition into full-time roles. Through Swiggy Skills, in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development, partners and restaurant staff receive training and certification via the Skill India Digital Hub. The Financial Literacy Program, in partnership with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), equips partners—especially women—with skills in budgeting and investing. Delivering Safely includes road safety workshops and provides partners with BIS-approved helmets, smart gear, and accident insurance, ensuring they are seen, supported, and safeguarded.
