Equity Markets Open in Green Amid Stable Crude Oil Prices
Mumbai, June 25: Indian equity markets opened on a positive note on Thursday, supported by easing concerns over global energy prices as crude oil hovered near the $70-per-barrel mark. Benchmark indices witnessed buying interest across key sectors, reflecting improved investor sentiment and optimism over economic stability.
The positive market opening comes amid relatively stable crude oil prices, which have remained close to the $70 level following recent fluctuations in global commodity markets. For India, one of the world’s largest crude oil importers, softer energy prices are generally viewed as beneficial for controlling inflationary pressures and reducing import costs.
Market participants noted that stable crude prices could provide support to corporate earnings, particularly for sectors heavily dependent on fuel and transportation costs. Banking, automobile, and consumer-focused stocks were among the early gainers as investors responded positively to the global cues.
Analysts believe that the moderation in crude oil prices may help sustain market momentum in the near term, while investors continue to monitor global economic developments, central bank policies, and geopolitical factors that could influence commodity markets.
The broader market sentiment remained constructive, with traders expecting continued volatility but maintaining a cautiously optimistic outlook for Indian equities.

Dubai civility initiative demands new design thinking from developers
Keturah founder says citywide focus on behaviour, design and daily experience raises the bar across real estate sector

Dubai, UAE, June 25: Luxury developer Keturah says Dubai’s new civility initiatives will reinforce the emirate’s position as a global leader in how a city can improve everyday life for residents.
The Dubai Civility Committee has confirmed plans to introduce a Civility Guidebook and new guidelines for celebrating different occasions, as part of a wider drive to improve public behaviour, the city’s appearance and its overall standard of civility.
The programme also includes work on an integrated city lighting plan and a wider review of the city experience to set standards and systems required to design the world’s most civilised urban experience.
Talal M. Al Gaddah, CEO and Founder of the Keturah luxury brand, says the initiative reflects a more practical way of thinking about cities, where roads, public spaces and homes all work together.
“Dubai is now defining not only how a city should function, but how it should feel,” said Al Gaddah. “That means developers have to think differently about the spaces they create, and ensure their communities reflect the same principles being applied across the city.
“The way communities and homes are designed plays a big part in civility. How spaces are lit, the way communities flow, how people move through shared environments, and the balance of comfort and privacy all shape behaviour and interaction.”
Keturah has two luxury residential communities under development in Dubai designed around principles that support how people actually live and interact.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences at Keturah Resort, on the shores of Dubai Creek adjacent to the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, combines branded residences, hospitality and a dedicated wellness centre, creating spaces where residents naturally encounter and engage with each other.
The Dubai Civility announcement earlier this week follows the new Public Safety laws which came into effect on June 1, to improve safety standards across public spaces, buildings, events, and facilities.
Al Gaddah says such frameworks strengthen the link between how cities are governed and how they are designed, and reinforce the importance of aligning private development with Dubai’s long-term direction on safety, quality and liveability.

Yudo India Doubles Hot Runner Capacity at New Vasai Facility, Strengthening India’s Plastics Manufacturing Ecosystem
Vasai, Maharashtra June 25: Yudo Hot Runner India Pvt. Ltd. has opened a new 40,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Vasai, near Mumbai, dedicated exclusively to Hot Runner systems. The expansion more than doubles the company’s domestic production capacity from around 180–190 systems per month to nearly 400 marking one of Yudo’s most significant investments in strengthening India’s plastics manufacturing base.

The facility embodies a “global technology, local manufacturing” approach – world-class hot runner systems engineered and built in India for Indian market. With design, R&D, simulation, manufacturing, assembly, and testing all under one roof, the Vasai plant becomes one of Yudo’s nine global R&D centres, placing India at the heart of the company’s worldwide network of 24 plants across more than 45 countries.
Hot runner systems are integral to injection moulding, the process behind a vast range of plastic products. Yudo serves diverse segments across India with automotive as its largest market, followed by packaging, medical, and PVC and commands close to 70% of the automotive hot runner segment, underlining its leadership in the industry.
By scaling domestic manufacturing, the new plant meets a significantly larger share of India’s hot runner demand from within the country – giving Indian customers faster delivery, localised engineering support, and globally benchmarked quality, all backed by an in-country R&D and testing ecosystem.
“With growing demand, shorter delivery timelines, and higher service expectations, it was essential to scale up our manufacturing capacity,” said Vishal Agarwal, President, Yudo Hot Runner India Pvt. Ltd.
“This facility strengthens our ability to serve the domestic market while reinforcing India’s role in Yudo’s global network.”
Mr. Agarwal pointed to Yudo’s deep roots in India, with over 25 years in the hot runner segment. “We are the oldest company in India still operating in this space, and Vasai was a natural choice given its position as a hub for automotive tooling,” he added.
The facility currently employs 100 people, with plans to grow to 125 within six months. As part of its commitment to inclusive manufacturing, Yudo is targeting 50% female workforce participation on the shopfloor, supported by structured training for CNC operations during day shifts.
That same focus on responsible manufacturing extends to the plant’s environmental design. The facility is powered by rooftop solar panels and harvests rainwater to reduce its draw on local resources. A heat-resistant film on the building lowers cooling loads and overall energy consumption, while a solar daylighting system channels natural light across the shopfloor, virtually eliminating the need for artificial lighting through the day. Together, these measures cut the plant’s energy use and carbon footprint, reflecting Yudo’s commitment to responsible, future-ready manufacturing in India.
The new plant reflects Yudo’s vision of becoming a market-centric company in India, catering to rising domestic demand while preparing for future growth. By combining global technology with local manufacturing, the investment supports India’s emergence as a self-reliant, advanced manufacturing hub and strengthens the wider plastics manufacturing ecosystem that underpins the country’s industrial progress.

India Set to Roll Out Services Production Index
New Monthly Production Index to Enhance Tracking of India’s Services-Led Growth
New Delhi: In a significant step towards strengthening economic data monitoring, the Government of India is set to launch a Monthly Production Index for the services sector in July, providing policymakers, businesses and investors with a more comprehensive view of the country’s economic performance.
The new index is expected to bridge a key data gap by offering high-frequency insights into the services sector, which contributes more than half of India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and serves as a major driver of economic growth, employment and investment.
Officials said the initiative is aimed at improving the measurement of economic activity by providing timely indicators on output trends across major service industries. The index will enable stakeholders to track growth patterns more accurately and assess the health of the economy on a monthly basis.
The move comes at a time when India’s services sector continues to play a crucial role in supporting economic expansion, driven by strong performance in areas such as financial services, information technology, telecommunications, transport, hospitality and professional services.
Experts believe the introduction of the monthly index will strengthen India’s statistical infrastructure and align economic reporting standards with leading global economies that already publish high-frequency services data.
The index is also expected to assist policymakers in making quicker and more informed decisions by providing real-time insights into sectoral performance, demand conditions and emerging economic trends.
Industry analysts have welcomed the initiative, noting that improved data availability can enhance transparency, support investment planning and provide greater clarity on the pace and direction of economic growth.
The launch of the Monthly Production Index reflects the government’s continued efforts to modernise economic data systems and improve the quality of information available for policy formulation and business decision-making.

The report highlights that despite external challenges such as geopolitical tensions, fluctuating commodity prices and global economic slowdowns, India’s financial markets have remained relatively stable due to sustained inflows from domestic investors.
