Khushi Kapoor and Cava Athleisure Come Together to Create Soft Serve – Her Dream Athleisure Collection

Sep 1: What happens when an actor known for her effortless personal style gets  to create the athleisure wardrobe she actually wants to wear? Soft Serve, a co-created collection by Khushi Kapoor and Cava, brings together Khushi’s personal approach to fashion with Cava’s expertise in performance-led athleisure.

Khushi Kapoor and Cava Athleisure Come Together to Create Soft Serve - Her Dream Athleisure Collection

The collaboration began with a simple brief: create pieces that feel as good in motion as they do styled outside of a workout. For Khushi, that meant going beyond simply putting her name on a collection. She was closely involved through the design process, from shaping the mood and aesthetic of the collection to refining silhouettes, colours, fits and details that felt true to her own wardrobe.

Her starting point was her own approach to getting dressed. Khushi wanted pieces that could move seamlessly between different parts of her day, with a strong emphasis on comfort, flattering silhouettes and the kind of understated detailing that makes a piece feel elevated without trying too hard.

The process involved multiple rounds of conversations, sampling and fittings, with Khushi weighing in on the details that mattered to her. The result is a collection that reflects the pieces she genuinely gravitates towards, while bringing in Cava’s understanding of movement, functionality and performance.

At the heart of Soft Serve is an idea that became central to the collection: Soft does not mean Weak.

The collection explores the coexistence of qualities that are often treated as opposites: softness and strength, femininity and drive, comfort and performance. Inspired by the idea of Yin and Yang, Soft Serve is built around the belief that there is no need to choose between them.

For Khushi, that duality also reflects how she approaches her own style and life.

“I’ve always wanted my wardrobe to feel effortless, but that doesn’t mean compromising on how a piece fits, feels or functions. With Soft Serve, I got to take all the things I naturally gravitate towards and build them into a collection that feels genuinely personal to me,” says Khushi Kapoor. “I was involved throughout the process, from the silhouettes and colours to the finer details, because I wanted every piece to feel like something I would actually wear. The idea of bringing softness and strength together really resonated with me, and I think you can feel that balance throughout the collection.”

The collection also reflects the shared sensibility between Khushi and Cava. While Khushi brings a distinct, fashion-led perspective, Cava brings its expertise in designing athleisure that is made to move. Its Adaptive Athleisure philosophy focuses on creating versatile pieces that can transition across workouts, everyday plans and everything in between.

For Cava’s Co-founder Ria Mittal, that overlap made the collaboration feel instinctive.

“Khushi came into the process with a very clear understanding of what she wanted the collection to feel like, and that made the collaboration incredibly exciting. She was not looking to simply create something that looked good; she cared about how the pieces fit, moved and felt,” says Ria Mittal, Co-Founder, Cava. “Soft Serve really captures that balance we both believe in. You can be soft and still be incredibly driven. You can care about aesthetics and be equally obsessed with functionality. For us, that is what makes the collection feel authentic.”

For Shreya Mittal, Co-Founder, Cava, the collaboration also reflects a side of Cava that has always existed beneath its aesthetic identity.

“Cava has always been about bringing together things that are not traditionally seen as belonging together. We have a very pinterest-y, aesthetic world, but underneath that is an intense focus on product, performance and functionality,” says Shreya Mittal, Co-Founder, Cava. “Khushi understood that balance instinctively. What made this collaboration special was that we were able to take her personal style and translate it into pieces that still have the performance and versatility Cava is known for. Soft Serve feels like a very natural meeting point between the two.”

The result is a collection designed around feminine silhouettes, considered details and movement-led functionality, bringing together the aesthetic world Khushi naturally gravitates towards with Cava’s approach to performance and versatility.

More than a celebrity collaboration, Soft Serve is a collection built through a shared creative process. Khushi’s personal style becomes the starting point, while Cava’s design and product expertise bring the pieces to life.

India Gen Z Outlook 2026: The No Cap Generation – Rethinking Education, Ambition and Success

Mumbai, Sep 01: Emeritus, the global education company has unveiled new primary research titled ‘India’s GenZ Outlook 2026: Recalculating education, ambition, and success; The No Cap Generation’.

The findings are based on 1,010 respondents aged 15-28, spanning three life stages: (a) pre-college, (b) transitioning, and (c ) early career – across major Indian metros. The report examines how young Indians are reassessing traditional pathways in higher education, skills, and careers amid visa uncertainty, rising overseas costs, and the rise of AI.

The traditional study-abroad pathway is losing ground – 48% of those who would consider studying abroad say their interest has declined over the past year, driven by cost, visa requirements, and uncertain post-study work regimes. The United States is bearing the sharpest decline. At the same time, a new consideration set is emerging.

87% of pre-college and 92% of transitioning respondents would be likely or extremely likely to study a programme offered by an internationally ranked university in India. 69% of transitioning students would actively prefer an India-based international programme over going abroad to avoid visa uncertainty.

On-campus remains the anchor but the pathway model, combining India-based study with partial home-campus exposure / semester exchange, is the fastest-growing preference. Interest jumps 12 points between pre-college (27%) and transitioning students (39%) – the closer students get to real enrolment decisions, the more compelling the model becomes.

“It took 30 years to build a predictable outward migration path. The reversal is happening much faster. Policies are moving, universities are arriving, families are taking note – and brain drain is turning,’’ said Ashwin Damera, Co-founder & CEO, Emeritus.

Beyond formal education, the data reveals how this generation is navigating skills and career choices:

  • 82% use AI or GenAI tools at least weekly to learn or build new skills

  • 65% of early career respondents feel a degree alone is no longer sufficient to succeed in the job market

  • 74% prioritise work-life balance over formal leadership titles – and 65% agree a successful career does not require becoming an executive leader

  • 60% feel burned out by the pressure to continuously upskill – yet 75% still believe learning the right skills will keep them competitive

  • 79% want their career to contribute positively to the environment, signalling that purpose is becoming as important as pay

Commenting further on the report, he added,

“As we deepen our presence in India, this report becomes a stepping-stone in that journey. We went ahead with the idea of understanding the pulse of a generation that is outcome-oriented, globally aware, and navigating world uncertainties in real time. The findings carry nuances that we believe will help institutions, employers, and policymakers design stronger, more relevant frameworks for the generation that is shaping India’s future.’’

This report is part of Emeritus’s ongoing research initiative tracking the evolving talent landscape across education, skills, and career decision-making globally. With this edition, the brand doubles down on understanding India’s talent pulse – with the next edition set to focus on parent perspectives on education choices in India.

United States Government and North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP) Reach Historic Deal to Develop Venezuela’s Oil Sector

The deal, made possible by strengthening relations between Venezuela and the United States, is expected to involve nearly $100 billion in investment to commercialize more than 65 billion barrels of P1 reserves in Venezuela.

CARACAS, Venezuela, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The United States Departments of State and War have reached an historic deal with North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP) to significantly expand oil production in Venezuela. As part of the deal, NABEP will have operating control of the business, with the United States Government holding rights to a 35% stake in the company, alongside preferential access to 20% of the company’s production at cost.

President Donald J. Trump announced the agreement on Truth Social as “the biggest oil deal in world history” and is demonstrative of the U.S. and Venezuelan governments deepening collaboration in the Venezuelan oil sector, bringing jobs and fiscal stability for Venezuelans and lower prices at the pump for Americans.

“Venezuela is blessed with an abundance of natural resources, hardworking people and untapped potential,” said Alejandro Betancourt, CEO of NABEP. “This transaction will unleash that potential to the great benefit of both Venezuelans and Americans. We are grateful to President Donald J. Trump, Secretary Marco Rubio, Secretary Pete Hegseth, the United States Government, and to President Delcy Rodríguez and the Government of Venezuela, for their confidence in NABEP and their willingness to tackle this challenge with us. We look forward to pioneering a new and exciting path together.”

This new venture is expected to bring tens of millions of additional barrels of Venezuelan oil to the global marketplace, thousands of well-paid jobs to Venezuela, and billions in incremental investment and broader economic activity to drive growth in Venezuela’s recovering economy. Through the right to purchase 20% of the oil produced at cost, this venture will also ultimately deliver billions in savings for American consumers and secure a stable and growing strategic supply of oil in the Western Hemisphere. Through billions in purchases of oil infrastructure and equipment from U.S. suppliers, NABEP will also support thousands of manufacturing jobs in the United States.

Mr. Betancourt has been in the Venezuelan oil industry for more than 15 years with a consistent track record of success, most recently at the helm of NABEP, where he rapidly scaled the company’s production from approximately 18,000 barrels per day to more than 200,000 barrels per day through roughly $1 billion in company-funded investment, making it the country’s second-largest oil producer in just two years’ time. Today, the company directly employs over 5,000 people and supports over 10,000 contractor employees across Venezuela.

Following these transactions, NABEP now controls the rights to commercialize more than 65 billion barrels of P1 reserves in Venezuela. NABEP is seeking to rapidly expand its operations in Lake Maracaibo and the Orinoco Belt with the near-term goal of increasing production to more than 1 million barrels of oil per day.

As it was announced, the program will involve nearly $100 billion in investment to increase production capacity and oil and gas infrastructure in Venezuela and will generate more than $209 billion in tax revenue for the Venezuelan state.

In a statement posted to X immediately following the announcement, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said: “This deal is a huge win for both the American and Venezuelan people. It demonstrates how President Trump’s bold foreign policy is driving America First wins: securing stable reserves and low-cost oil in our Hemisphere and lowering gas prices here at home. For the Venezuelan people, this deal will bring nearly $100 billion in private investment, support thousands of high-paying jobs, and drive the reconstruction of Venezuela’s economy.”

It delivers regulated maritime distress and safety communications through Iridium’s low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network, with global coverage, including the polar regions.

Furuno’s addition of Iridium GMDSS to its portfolio gives shipowners and shipyards greater choice in selecting maritime safety equipment for newbuild and retrofit vessels.

“Furuno has been committed to supporting safer navigation at sea for decades, and maritime safety remains at the heart of what we do,” said Kiyoshi Furuno, Head of Marine Electronic Products Division and Sales Management Department General Manager, Furuno. “The new SOLION-100 terminal for Iridium GMDSS allows us to strengthen our safety communications portfolio and provide customers with LEO satellite GMDSS technology alongside the Furuno navigation and communications systems they already rely on.”

“Furuno has a long history of supporting maritime safety, and its addition of Iridium GMDSS brings together that expertise with the global coverage of the Iridium network,” said Wouter Deknopper, vice president and general manager, maritime, Iridium. “Together, we are giving shipowners and shipyards another way to equip vessels with reliable maritime safety communications, including in the polar regions.”

Iridium GMDSS is designed to support crews throughout a maritime safety event, from receiving navigational and meteorological warnings through Iridium SafetyCast® to initiating a distress alert and establishing Safety Voice communications with a Rescue Coordination Center. Odisha plans climate-resilient shield for 573-km coastline under ARISE Project

Bhubaneswar, Sept. 1 (UDN): The Odisha government is preparing a long-term strategy to safeguard its 573-km coastline from coastal erosion, climate change and natural disasters through the proposed Adaptive Resilience Investment in Coastal Systems on Economics (ARISE) Project.

Odisha plans climate-resilient shield for 573-km coastline under ARISE Project

The initiative aims to combine scientific coastal protection measures with environmental conservation, livelihood security and sustainable economic development for vulnerable coastal communities.

Phased implementation after final assessment

A high-level review meeting on the project was held at Lok Seva Bhawan, chaired by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, who emphasised the need for an integrated approach that balances ecological protection with economic growth.

A preliminary assessment of Odisha’s coastline has been conducted jointly by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA). The study examined coastal erosion, sediment movement, vulnerable villages and the safety and livelihoods of communities living along the coast.

Based on consultations with multiple government departments, ADB and OSDMA have prepared a preliminary report, which was reviewed during the meeting. Officials said the project will be implemented in phases after the final assessment is completed.

Science-driven solutions for coastal protection

The proposed interventions will focus on technology-backed measures to reduce coastal erosion, strengthen natural coastal defences and protect vulnerable stretches of the shoreline.

Effective sediment management, aligned with the coastline’s natural processes, will form a key component of the project to ensure long-term resilience.

Focus on blue economy and disaster preparedness

Beyond shoreline protection, the ARISE Project seeks to promote Odisha’s blue economy by encouraging climate-resilient coastal tourism while safeguarding biodiversity and local livelihoods.

Officials also discussed strengthening institutions, building local capacity and deploying modern technology, including real-time data systems and digital monitoring platforms, to improve erosion tracking, hazard forecasting and disaster preparedness.

The initiative comes as Odisha continues to face increasing climate-related challenges along its coastline, reinforcing the need for a comprehensive and sustainable coastal resilience framework.
