Bengaluru Airport Introduces AI-Based Airside Safety System
Bengaluru, May 5 (BNP): Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), operator of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), has introduced an integrated Smart Airside Safety System aimed at significantly improving operational safety, efficiency, and control across key airside zones.

The system is designed to strengthen safety at critical cross-service roads where aircraft and ground support vehicles operate in close proximity. Instagram introduces ‘AI Creator’ label to boost content transparency for people
May 5: Instagram is testing the ability for creators who often create with AI to label their account as an “AI creator.” The label appears on your profile and alongside your content, giving your audience more transparency into the content they see. As a test, not everyone will have access yet, but this feature will be expanded in the coming weeks.

This new label builds on existing “AI info” labels that can be applied when posting AI content and that are automatically added when AI tools are detected in the creation process. If enabled, “AI creator” will appear on your profile’s bio and alongside your content in places such as Feed, Reels, and Explore. In instances when content is labeled as “AI info” and posted by a labeled AI creator, the “AI info” label will appear on the content instead of the “AI creator” label.
Using this label does not impact how your account or content is distributed across Instagram. It is designed to provide more transparency to audiences. Instagram encourages all accounts that regularly post AI-generated content to add this label.
This label makes it easier to understand how content is made, who’s behind it, and what’s worth your attention so that creativity stands out, and people can trust what they discover. Self-identifying as an AI creator builds trust and keeps you in control of your story. It also signals that you value transparency, which can help build a more authentic relationship with your audience.
Adding the label is simple. To do so:

Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project Completes Key Portal Beam Installation

Newly created role places global AI strategy under a practicing partner’s leadership ahead of agentic AI deployment
Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has appointed Jake Bernstein to the newly created role of Global AI and Innovation Partner, effective immediately. In this role, Bernstein will lead the firm’s global artificial intelligence strategy, governance, and innovation operations, including AI platform selection, workflow development, and data and knowledge management, working in coordination with the firm’s technology and security functions. India Advances Space Tech with First AI-Powered Orbital Computing Satellite
New Delhi, May 4 (BNP): India is set to take a major step in space technology with the planned launch of its first artificial intelligence-powered orbital data centre satellite, named Pathfinder, under a collaboration between space-tech company Pixxel and AI startup Sarvam AI. The mission is targeted for launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The 200-kg class satellite is designed to process data directly in space, reducing the need to transmit large volumes of raw information back to Earth. This approach is expected to enable faster, real-time insights for applications such as environmental monitoring, defence analysis, and resource management.

Sarvam AI will provide the artificial intelligence systems for the mission, including advanced language models and onboard GPU-based computing for in-orbit data processing, training, and inference.
Pixxel will be responsible for the development, manufacturing, launch, and operation of the satellite. The spacecraft will be built at its upcoming Gigapixxel facility, which is designed for large-scale satellite production.
The project also aims to address limitations of traditional ground-based data centres, such as high energy consumption, land requirements, and cooling challenges, by leveraging solar power in space.
The initiative reflects a broader push toward digital and space sovereignty, focusing on running India-developed AI models on Indian-built infrastructure in orbit, reducing dependence on external cloud systems.
In parallel developments, Indian space startups are also expanding capabilities in advanced satellite technologies. GalaxEye has recently introduced “Drishti,” an OptoSAR satellite combining optical and radar imaging for all-weather observation, while other ventures like NeevCloud and AgniKul are exploring space-based data centre concepts, with pilot projects expected in the coming years.
