Fifty Founders and Investors, One Invitation-Only Trip to Kashmir, and No Conventional Conference Format: The Charter and Secret Bring Startup Leaders Together in Sonmarg

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Charter and Secret, the team behind Gulmarg’s invitation-only Secret Ski Party, brought together fifty founders, investors, senior entrepreneurs and cultural voices in Sonmarg, Kashmir, for a three-day gathering designed around peer interaction, informal conversation and the relationships that can emerge when conventional conference structures are removed.

The Secret Charter in Sonmarg, Kashmir

The Secret Charter brought together two complementary approaches to building entrepreneurial communities: The Charter’s curated founder network and Secret’s decade of experience creating small, hosted environments around a shared pursuit. The Charter selected who belonged in the room, while Secret designed the environment itself, drawing on a practice that began with the Secret Ski Party in Gulmarg in 2016 and has since expanded to the Secret Serve Party in the Seychelles.

Devarsh Saraf, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, The Charter, said, “Founders spend much of their professional lives in structured environments: meetings, conferences, investor conversations, public forums. We wanted to create a setting where those structures could be removed for a few days, and people could simply spend time with one another. The idea was not to replace the traditional founder event, but to create a different kind of environment for relationships and conversations to develop.”

The gathering extended The Charter’s wider approach to building founder networks. Entry to The Secret Charter was by nomination only, with twenty-five of the fifty places nominated through The Charter’s founder network and the remaining places nominated directly by Secret. There was no application form and no public route into the gathering. The result was a deliberately curated group designed to bring together people who could create connections across sectors, stages and disciplines.

The 50-person cohort comprised 25 founders between seed and Series B, 10 investors, five cultural voices and 10 senior founders who had built companies at scale. The mix brought together entrepreneurs at different points in their journeys alongside investors and leaders from outside the conventional startup ecosystem, creating the conditions for relationships that could extend beyond the three-day gathering into partnerships, collaborations, business opportunities and stronger entrepreneurial networks.

Krishan Anand, Founder, Secret, said, “Before Secret, I spent several years building CEO summits, at the Four Seasons Mumbai, the Leela Bangalore, the Leela Delhi. Three hundred of the most senior people in Indian business, in one ballroom, at enormous cost. They worked perfectly. And nothing happened. Ballrooms are built for facing a stage, and nobody has ever said anything true while facing a stage. The Secret Charter removed the stage. There was no keynote and no panel, and pitching was treated as bad manners. The room was composed before a single invitation went out, and then the room was left alone. That was the entire idea.”

The choice of Sonmarg was central to the format. Over the three-day gathering, participants took part in a glacier walk, fly fishing and mountain biking, alongside riverside meals and informal gatherings. The programme concluded with a traditional Wazwan and a Sufi mehfil. Rather than filling the schedule with presentations and structured networking, the setting created distance from the pace of everyday professional life and gave participants time to interact naturally.

For The Charter, the objective was not simply to bring fifty people together for three days, but to create the foundations for relationships that could continue to generate value after the gathering. Since returning from Kashmir, members have publicly shared plans to visit one another in their respective cities, extended personal invitations and continued conversations that began in the valley. Those interactions point to the broader ambition behind the format: creating trusted connections between entrepreneurs that can evolve into partnerships, collaborations, knowledge-sharing and new channels for growth.

The initial cohort of fifty will form the founding group for future editions of The Secret Charter, with the gathering intended to become a recurring platform for bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and influential voices across India’s startup and business ecosystem.

About The Charter

The Charter is one of India’s largest private startup communities, bringing together a curated membership of 550 founders, investors and creators across Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi.

Built around the belief that meaningful entrepreneurial relationships are built through trust rather than transactional networking, The Charter is a private membership community for founders who have moved beyond product-market fit, investors at principal and partner level, and creators who contribute to the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Membership is deliberately curated, with a waitlist of more than 55,000 people seeking access to the community. The Charter creates opportunities for members to build relationships across industries and stages of company-building through curated gatherings, peer connections and experiences designed to foster long-term engagement.

The community’s focus extends beyond fundraising and business introductions. By bringing together accomplished founders, experienced investors and influential creators in a trusted environment, The Charter aims to create the relationships that can lead to partnerships, collaborations, knowledge-sharing and new growth opportunities for its members.

The Charter currently operates across three Indian cities — Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi — with plans to deepen its presence across India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and build stronger connections between its members over the long term.

Spinnaker Support Launches PostgreSQL Offerings to Help Enterprises Move Beyond Oracle Database Dependency

Support Oracle today, define the right path forward, and modernize without new lock-in

DENVER, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Spinnaker Support, the third-party software support leader trusted by more than 1,300 organizations in 104 countries, today announced new PostgreSQL offerings designed to help enterprises reduce Oracle database dependency, modernize at their own pace, and move toward a standard PostgreSQL destination without new vendor lock-in.

https://www.spinnakersupport.com

Oracle database costs and support pressures continue to climb, and Postgres is becoming an increasingly important destination for organizations seeking greater flexibility and control. According to the 2025 Stack Overflow Developer Survey, 55.6% of developers reported using Postgres, more than any other database. Spinnaker’s PostgreSQL offerings give customers a way to begin modernizing selected workloads, expand future flexibility, and reduce Oracle database dependency without disrupting the critical systems their business still depends on.

“Organizations want greater flexibility as they modernize their database environments, but they should not have to sacrifice enterprise-grade assurance or trade one proprietary dependency for another,” said Matt Stava, CEO of Spinnaker Support. “Our new PostgreSQL offerings give customers a trusted, lower-risk path to standard, non-proprietary PostgreSQL, backed by 24×7 mission-critical support, security guidance, and deep technical expertise. This is an important step in expanding the Spinnaker OpenPath™ framework and strengthens our ability to support customers across their existing technology environments, modernization initiatives, and emerging AI workloads.”

The announcement includes two primary offerings, along with continued development of an enterprise distribution for PostgreSQL:

  • Enterprise Software Support for PostgreSQL – Delivers 24×7 enterprise software support for standard PostgreSQL and vetted open-source components across on-premises, virtualized, containerized, and cloud environments including break/fix support, troubleshooting, security guidance, performance and configuration support, and lifecycle guidance.

  • Assessment and Migration Services for PostgreSQL, powered by HexaCluster – Helps organizations evaluate workload fit, analyze Oracle database dependencies, automate and accelerate conversion where appropriate, validate production readiness, and execute controlled cutovers with rollback planning.

The service uses HexaRocket, HexaCluster’s migration, data movement, and replication technology, to help accelerate and reduce risk in Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations. HexaCluster brings database modernization expertise and contributes technology across the PostgreSQL ecosystem.

Spinnaker also confirmed that it is developing an enterprise distribution for PostgreSQL that is not yet generally available and is being built around standard PostgreSQL and vetted open-source components. The goal is to give customers a more curated, enterprise-ready PostgreSQL destination while maintaining long-term portability, architectural control, and freedom from proprietary forks or closed compatibility layers.

Unlike providers that address only one stage of the transition, Spinnaker is positioned to support the Oracle database environment customers run today, help them assess the right PostgreSQL path workload by workload, and provide accountable support for the PostgreSQL environments they operate next.

What Enterprises Gain

  • Lower-risk migration: Move critical Oracle database workloads to PostgreSQL through a controlled, workload-by-workload approach.
  • Greater financial flexibility: Redirect resources from proprietary database costs toward modernization and innovation.
  • End-to-end technical continuity: Bridge the journey from initial assessment and migration through production readiness and 24×7 PostgreSQL support.
  • Enterprise security and compliance support: Strengthen PostgreSQL environments with security guidance, vulnerability analysis, hardening recommendations, and compensating controls.
  • Accountable service levels: Gain responsive, enterprise-grade support backed by defined SLAs and experienced PostgreSQL specialists.

Spinnaker also announced the promotion of Martin Biggs to vice president and general manager, PostgreSQL Practice. In this role, Biggs will lead the teams supporting Spinnaker’s PostgreSQL offerings, including Enterprise Software Support for PostgreSQL, Assessment and Migration Services for PostgreSQL, and the development of Spinnaker’s enterprise distribution for PostgreSQL.

“In conversations with some of the world’s largest and most complex Oracle database users, we continue to hear the same thing: organizations want the freedom, control, and modernization potential of Postgres, but they need a partner that can help them move responsibly,” said Martin Biggs, “What makes Spinnaker different is that we can support the Oracle database environment customers run today, help define the right path forward, and support the PostgreSQL destination without forcing a premature decision or a new form of lock-in.”

Spinnaker’s PostgreSQL offerings align with the same Run, Optimize, Transform structure the company applies across Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, and VMware. Together, these capabilities help organizations reduce vendor dependency, expand choice, and build a more flexible path to long-term modernization. Learn more about Spinnaker’s PostgreSQL offerings.

Treon IQ: The New Industrial AI That Automates Operational Understanding and Recommends Actions

DALLAS, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Treon Inc. today announced Treon IQ, a next-generation industrial AI capability that brings situational understanding to the company’s market-leading Treon Connect Prescriptive Maintenance cloud platform. Instead of spending valuable time investigating dashboards, correlating data, and determining next steps, maintenance organizations can rely on Treon IQ to continuously analyze operational conditions, diagnose issues, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend actions. By transforming asset intelligence into continuous operational understanding and guided execution, Treon IQ helps teams resolve issues faster, improve consistency, and operate with expert-level insight across sites, fleets, and facilities.

Treon IQ maintenance manager AI companion main view

Bringing Industrial Understanding to the Next Level

Industrial maintenance workflows remain heavily dependent on human-led analysis and decision-making. While asset monitoring and fault detection have become largely automated, understanding what is happening and what should be done next still relies on human expertise. The result is often slow, costly, inconsistent, and difficult to scale.

Building AI systems capable of performing these tasks autonomously is equally challenging. Developing in-house diagnostic and recommendation models requires vast amounts of data, training, and computing resources. Horizontal AI layers depend on third-party sensor data, limiting their reasoning capabilities, while general-purpose large language models (LLMs) often lack the industrial context required for reliable operational decisions.

Introducing Treon IQ

Treon IQ extends the Treon Connect platform with an AI engine that automatically transforms asset data into continuous situational understanding.

The solution analyzes data from real-time and historical asset intelligence and other sources such as CMMS and ERP systems. It detects and diagnoses issues, uncovers optimization opportunities, explains root causes, and generates actionable recommendations for fast and consistent resolution.

Treon IQ combines the company’s proprietary anomaly detection technology, next-generation deep-learning diagnostic models, and carefully selected LLMs into a unified framework. High-precision wireless sensors within the vertically integrated Treon Connect platform provide deep visibility into asset behavior, creating a stronger foundation for accurate diagnostics and recommendations than horizontal AI approaches that lack in-depth asset intelligence.

Instead of relying on alerts, vibration data, and condition-monitoring dashboards, Treon IQ introduces an AI-powered companion that provides maintenance managers with a continuously updated operational briefing summarizing site status, active issues, optimization opportunities, and prioritized actions, eliminating the need to spend valuable time investigating data and dashboards.

From Asset Intelligence to Operational Understanding

As a result, Treon IQ delivers accurate, reliable, and scalable operational understanding while maintaining optimized computing resources and predictable costs. By automating analysis, diagnosis, and recommendations, companies can improve consistency, accelerate resolution, and provide maintenance teams with expert-level guidance every day.

“Industrial AI should do more than detect anomalies. It should help maintenance teams understand what’s happening and confidently decide what to do next,” said Joni Korppi, CEO of Treon. “With Treon IQ, maintenance managers no longer need to start their day chasing alerts and investigating dashboards. Instead, they can begin each day with a complete understanding of their operational situation, key priorities, and the plan for the day, delivered automatically through an AI-powered companion in Treon Connect.”

Availability of Treon IQ

An early-access version of Treon IQ is now available for Treon Make and Treon Flow customers, including tailored AI-powered companion functionalities for maintenance managers. Additional features will be introduced as new capabilities become available.

Treon IQ Demonstrated at IMTS 2026

Treon is introducing and demonstrating Treon IQ for the first time at IMTS 2026, taking place September 14-19, 2026, at McCormick Place in Chicago, showcasing how an AI-powered companion transforms a maintenance manager’s work from investigating dashboards to understanding operational situations and confidently deciding what to do next.

About Treon

Treon is a global leader in AI-driven Smart Industry solutions, helping businesses improve productivity, operational visibility, and long-term sustainability. Its fully integrated predictive maintenance solutions combine advanced AI analytics, a mobile-first user experience, automated workflows, and wireless vibration monitoring delivered as a managed service with scalable subscription pricing. Treon operates in Finland, France, and United States, serving more than 200 customers worldwide across manufacturing, material handling, and logistics hubs. Learn more at Treon.

IIFL Finance Becomes First Non-PSU NBFC to Execute ₹25 Crores Tokenised Bond Transaction
  • Landmark transaction executed on Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India under SEBI’s Regulatory Sandbox framework, with Trust Investment Advisors Private Limited as Sole Arranger and Advisor

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — IIFL Finance Limited (“IIFL Finance” or “the Company”) today announced the successful completion of a ₹25 crores tokenised bond transaction, becoming the first Non-PSU Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) in India to undertake a transaction of this nature. The transaction was executed on the Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI), which provided the bidding platform for the deal, with Trust Investment Advisors Private Limited acting as the Sole Arranger and Advisor. The bonds will be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).

The transaction was undertaken under the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) Regulatory Sandbox framework for tokenisation of securities, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of India’s digital debt capital markets.

Tokenisation enables securities to be represented digitally using blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT), offering the potential for greater efficiency, transparency, and speed across debt market processes. By successfully executing this transaction, IIFL Finance has demonstrated the growing adoption of technology within India’s corporate bond market and reinforced its position among NBFCs adopting innovative, technology-led solutions in debt capital markets.

The transaction represents another step towards building a more technology-enabled and innovative debt capital market ecosystem in India, aligning with the broader industry shift towards digitisation of financial market infrastructure.

IIFL Finance’s transaction comes amid growing regulatory and policy momentum around securities tokenisation in India. At the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Mr Sanjay Malhotra and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman Mr Tuhin Kanta Pandey jointly launched a national tokenised corporate bond pilot combining blockchain/distributed ledger technology with the RBI’s central bank digital currency (CBDC) for securities settlement.

SEBI Chairman Mr Tuhin Kanta Pandey, discussing the regulator’s broader tokenisation push, has said SEBI initiated a pilot to explore distributed ledger technology (DLT) for corporate bond tokenisation, noting the shift “could create greater possibility of more liquidity and instantaneous settlement” in the bond market.

Mr Govind Modani, Chief Treasury Officer at IIFL Finance said, “As the first Non-PSU NBFC to participate in India’s emerging tokenised bond ecosystem, we are embracing new-age technology to make capital-market transactions more efficient, transparent and future-ready. The tokenized bond initiative gives us an opportunity to participate in building the financial infrastructure of tomorrow, while gaining valuable experience in blockchain-enabled issuance and settlement.”
