Rishab, a 12th-grade student develops an AI application, Sabka Vikaas…

Rishab_ develops AI Applications

Hyderabad, November 27, 2023….. In a remarkable display of innovation and social commitment, Rishab, a 12th-grade student at Rockwell International School in Hyderabad, has developed an AI application called ‘Sabka Vikaas.’ The application aims to provide information on over 1200 government schemes in nine vernacular languages, including Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, specifically catering to the underprivileged.

The boy gave a demo of the same to Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India during his tour to Sherlingampally Constituency on Sunday. The Minister later tweeted the photo and spoke about his visit to Sherlingmpally constituency and interaction with people there.

The ‘Sabka Vikaas’ app allows users, particularly women, to communicate in their native language, making information about central and state-level schemes more accessible. Users can specify their demographic details, such as being women, children, or specially-abled, and describe their situation. The application then uses this information to find and present relevant government schemes applicable to their needs. Importantly, the app responds in the user’s native language through voice technology, further breaking down barriers.

The honourable minister commended Rishab as a young visionary who has taken the initiative to leverage technology and AI to assist underserved communities. Minister Chandrasekhar spent time discussing the potential of refining the application for large-scale deployment, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘New India’s Techade.’

The minister emphasized the crucial role of AI, particularly Generative AI, in realizing a seamless interface for 1.3 billion Indians to access government schemes. He highlighted the need for AI to be developed in various Indian languages to ensure widespread accessibility, drawing parallels with the success of UPI (Unified Payments Interface) in the country’s digital transformation.

Minister Chandrasekhar, in a visionary statement, underscored the imperative to develop AI for India using local languages and data. He stressed that solutions for India’s unique challenges must be crafted within the country by young innovators. According to him, this is a pivotal moment for Young India to actively participate in India’s Techade. Looking ahead, he predicted that, similar to the global success of UPI, the world would turn to India for the development of innovative, globally applicable solutions.

The minister expressed immense satisfaction that young innovators like Rishab are not only embracing technology while still in high school but are also developing solutions tailored specifically to India’s needs.

The ‘Sabka Vikaas’ application stands as a testament to the positive impact that young innovators like Rishab can have on society by leveraging technology for social welfare. As the application continues to evolve, it has the potential to play a pivotal role in connecting underprivileged individuals with the government schemes designed to uplift and support them.

If anyone tells you, no, you can’t do it, reply, yes, I will and stop if you can, says a 31 years Cerebral Palsy man Sumit Agarwal

Dr Mani Pavitra

Hyderabad, November 27, 2023…..Rejected by 30 schools, Sumit Agarwal teaches the world how to live with Cerebral Palsy, be successful in business and create wealth.

Born with Cerebral Palsy, an Astrologer told his parents that Sumit would not survive beyond 33 years of age. “Now I am 31, but Astrologer is no more, ” he said to a hall full of attendees of the Legacy Building Live program organised on Sunday evening at the Park, Somajiguda by Fortune Academy.

Sumit was in the city at the invitation of Fortune Academy. He was talking to people who gathered to learn how to be financially successful

People told me that I walked differently, talked differently and looked differently. And nobody wanted to be a friend to me. So, I don’t have any friends. Everybody told me that I didn’t belong there. Now I not only survived, did an MBA, topped the country, started my own business and now I give jobs to others.

I have two million LinkedIn Inn followers. I helped 500 people with disabilities get jobs. I am on the board of several Fortune 500 companies as part of their diversity and inclusivity plans, he declared amidst the thunderous applause.

I have had four surgeries and 70% of my movement is restricted. So reduced mobility, muscle spasms and slower speech are some of the inevitable obstacles I still face here.

If anyone says no, you can’t do it, I tell them yes, I can do it. I also reply and tell them to try and stop me if they can.

Right parenting saved my life, he added.

Giving her opening remarks, Dr Mani Pavitra, who runs 9 successful businesses besides being a Dentist, said the goal of Fortune Academy is to create an army of people who are financially successful. She gave attendees her financial prudence. She told her audience to find comfort in discomfort.

Essential Medical Ethics Every Student Should Grasp

Healthcare professionals’ beliefs and practices are greatly influenced by medical ethics. It is essential for students interested in pursuing a career in medicine to comprehend and uphold ethical principles. The following are essential components of medical ethics with which all students should be acquainted to:

NIIMS

1. Independence and Knowledgeable Assent:
Patients are entitled to make choices regarding their own medical treatment. Students need to understand how crucial it is to get patients’ informed consent and make sure they are fully aware of the advantages and disadvantages of any medical procedure.

 2. Nondisclosure:
It is essential to respect patient confidentiality. Medical students need to know how to protect private information and recognize the rare circumstances in which it might be required to be disclosed.

 3. Non-maleficence and Beneficence:
A fundamental ethical precept is balancing the pursuit of benefit from harm with the avoidance of it. Pupils should minimize hazards while placing a high priority on the health of their patients.

 4. Fairness in Medical Care:
It’s critical to guarantee equitable access to healthcare resources and to prevent discrimination. The ethical ramifications of resource allocation and unequal access to healthcare must be understood by students.

 5. Boundaries in the Workplace:
It’s critical to comprehend the boundaries that exist between patients and healthcare providers. Keeping a relationship that is morally and professionally appropriate benefits patients’ trust and well-being.

 6. Honesty and Truthfulness:
Honest communication with patients promotes trust. Students ought to understand the value of honesty even in trying circumstances.

 7. Care at the End of Life:
Making decisions regarding end-of-life care demands empathy. Pupils need to understand the moral implications of decisions like advance care planning and treatment withholding or withdrawal.

 8. Cultural Competence:
It’s critical to acknowledge and honor the various cultural practices and beliefs that exist. The influence of cultural factors on healthcare decision-making should be understood by students.

9. Research Ethics:
Medical students participating in studies must have a thorough understanding of the ethical conduct of research. This entails getting consent with full knowledge of the risks involved, keeping research findings valid, and so forth.

10. Global Health Ethics:
Students should be aware of the moral dilemmas that arise when tackling infectious diseases, health inequalities, and humanitarian crises across the globe because healthcare is a global issue.

According to Dr. Ranjana Singh, MBBS, MD, Prof & HOD, NIIMS Hospital– “The moral compass that directs healthcare workers is medical ethics. It highlights the sacred trust that exists between patients and caregivers and demands confidentiality, compassion, and integrity. Students need to understand the concept of beneficence, which puts the health of the patients first. Respecting patients’ rights to make educated decisions about their health is emphasized by autonomy. Non-maleficence urges careful attention and caution against doing harm. Justice promotes equitable distribution of resources and medical care. When negotiating the complex terrain of medical ethics, compassion is essential. Recall that moral decisions shape the foundation of dignity, respect, and trust that characterizes healthcare professionals. Maintaining these principles guarantees a moral, patient-focused medical practice.”
