QC Ware and IonQ Demonstrate High-Precision Hybrid Quantum Workflow for Drug Discovery
Joint test on IonQ Forte hardware lands within 4% of benchmark, clearing the chemical-accuracy bar for enzyme active-site modeling via Amazon Braket
PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — QC Ware today announced a technology demonstration of a hybrid quantum-classical chemistry workflow using its Promethium® platform and IonQ’s Forte trapped-ion quantum computer via Amazon Braket.
The demonstration modeled the heme active site of cytochrome P450nor, a nitric oxide reductase in the cytochrome P450 superfamily — the same superfamily whose monooxygenase members carry out most human drug metabolism. By pairing GPU-accelerated classical pre-processing in Promethium with quantum measurements on IonQ Forte, the workflow calculated electrostatic interaction energy within 0.5 kcal/mol (~4%) of classical benchmarks. This falls well inside the 1 kcal/mol threshold for chemical accuracy and delivers more than double the accuracy of the standard classical mean-field method. For the biopharma industry, more accurately calculating electrostatic interaction energy, a major factor in how tightly a drug candidate binds to its target, at complex metal centers such as the iron site in P450nor, could improve candidate ranking and help identify metabolic risks earlier in the drug-discovery process.
“Running the same hybrid workflow on IonQ’s trapped-ion architecture, following our recent demonstration on other quantum hardware, shows that Promethium’s approach to combining classical and quantum computing is not tied to a single type of quantum hardware,” said Dr. Kin-Joe Sham, Co-Founder and COO at QC Ware. “We believe this hardware-agnostic approach gives researchers flexibility as quantum computing continues to mature.”
“Every month spent advancing a drug candidate on flawed metabolic data is wasted time and mounting risk,” said Scott Millard, Chief Business Officer at IonQ. “QC Ware and IonQ have shown that hybrid quantum-classical workflows can predict certain binding behavior accurately enough for discovery teams to confidently rank candidates and catch toxicity risks early. We believe that’s real quantum impact on real health outcomes. I can’t wait to see what this partnership delivers.”
Technical Highlights:
- Promethium Preprocessing: Promethium built and preprocessed a complex 115-atom model of the P450nor active site containing over 1,000 molecular orbitals. It automatically isolated the strongly correlated region down to a 4-orbital active space mapped onto 8 qubits, which IonQ Forte measured in a single basis before returning results for Promethium to compute final interaction energies classically.
- Hardware Architecture: IonQ Forte’s all-to-all qubit connectivity enabled complex two-qubit entangling gates to execute as designed without the routing overhead or additional error typical of limited-connectivity architectures.
- Biopharma Impact: Accurately predicting binding energy at iron sites in enzymes like P450nor could enable pharmaceutical researchers to better rank drug candidates and identify metabolic risks earlier in the R&D pipeline.
Supported in part by Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud compute credits, the demonstration highlights how QC Ware’s cloud-native Promethium® platform can potentially allow classical GPU clusters to seamlessly connect with cloud quantum computing resources on Amazon Braket.
Available today, Promethium’s GPU-native architecture enables researchers to apply quantum chemistry across larger molecular systems and more compounds than has traditionally been practical. For selected workloads, Promethium runs demanding calculations up to 20× faster than conventional CPU-based DFT platforms, helping researchers generate molecular-level insights in hours instead of weeks and accelerating decision-making across drug discovery, catalysis, and materials science.

De Beers Group’s ‘Love, From Bestie’ Turns Friendship Day into a Lasting Ritual with Natural Diamonds
MUMBAI, India, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Not every milestone comes with a date on the calendar, some come with a best friend by your side. The people we choose to grow with, celebrate with and turn to through every version of life are increasingly becoming relationships worth marking. Recognising this shift, De Beers Group’s ‘Love, From Bestie’ brings natural diamonds into a new kind of celebration, one centred on the friendships that are rare, enduring and entirely your own.
Over the Friendship Day weekend on 1st and 2nd August 2026, ‘Love, From Bestie’ came to life across natural diamond retail partner stores in India through a series of thoughtful, friendship focused experiences. Besties could capture their bond through professionally shot portraits, beautifully framed to take home, while personalised nail art, custom bag charms and playful ‘BFF Contracts’ added a creative touch to the celebration.
The experiences gave friends a chance to celebrate their bond in ways that felt personal and memorable, drawing more than 2,000 visitors and a conversion rate of 15% across 60 participating natural diamond retail stores nationwide over the weekend.
At the heart of the campaign is the Bestie Bracelet Collection, created around a simple but meaningful idea: one for you, one for your bestie. Each bracelet becomes a personal expression of the friendship it represents, capturing the rare, enduring bond between two best friends.
Bringing the idea to life are some of India’s much loved celebrity bestie duos, Sara Tendulkar & Banita Sandhu, Mallika Dua & Shweta Tripathi, as well as Sanaya Irani & Drashti Dhami. Across a series of social content, the duos opened up about their friendships, sharing hilarious insider moments, personal milestones and the unwavering support that keeps their bonds strong.
Commenting on the campaign, Ms. Toranj Mehta, Country Head – Category Marketing, De Beers Group India, said, “We often think of natural diamonds in the context of traditional milestones, but the way people celebrate important relationships is changing. What makes a natural diamond special is its rarity, individuality and the fact that it is created over billions of years. There is a beautiful parallel with friendship. The strongest ones are built over time, shaped by shared memories and are unlike any other relationship. ‘Love, From Bestie’ is about recognising that connection and celebrating this ritual beyond of a single day, with something that is equally unique and lasting.”
The conversation extended beyond celebrity friendships through a candid Friendship Day podcast hosted by the new age portal, Tweak, bringing together young changemakers including Ida Ali, Anshita Mehrotra, Khanak Gupta and Suramya Jain. The panel explored how Gen Z is redefining friendship, from navigating career ambitions and major life changes to finding a support system in the people closest to them. The podcast is available on YouTube.
Through collaborations with leading lifestyle publications, the campaign explored the unique strength of ‘corporate bestie’ bonds, reframing natural diamond bracelets as the definitive modern friendship band. These features celebrated the professional allies who have transitioned from office companions to the most essential pillars of our personal lives.
The campaign found its way into homes and feeds nationwide through digital, social, television, print and out of home.
Supporting the campaign across markets was the Indian Natural Diamond Retailer Alliance (INDRA), developed by De Beers alongside the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). Through INDRA’s digital network, participating stores accessed localised digital assets, customisable event creatives and targeted outreach tools, helping bring the campaign to life across markets.
By bringing together real-life friendships, celebrity besties, conversations around modern relationships and engaging retail experiences, Love, From Bestie puts natural diamonds at the heart of a celebration that honours the friends who make life brighter, better and a lot more fun.

Artprice by Artmarket presents a liber mundi, dixit Gemini: ‘Dialogue Between a Thinker and AI’ carries within it the serene, yet profound, echo of the greatest anthropological shock of our era
PARIS, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ —
A WORLD-BOOK OFFERED TO THE WORLD
This book asks nothing of you. No commercial transaction, no subscription, no algorithmic submission. It extends a simple invitation: to open its freely accessible pages, to journey through it, to draw food for thought, and to make it your own.

“Dialogue Between a Thinker and AI” carries within it the serene yet profound echo of the greatest anthropological shock of our era.
Its subtitle, “The Great Revenge of Literary Minds and Humanists in a Digital Age,” is not a call to confrontation, but the calm acknowledgment of a historical restauration of equilibrium.
Leonardo da Vinci affirmed it with infinite prescience: art and creation are, above all, cosa mentale—a matter of the mind.
For decades, the world demanded that humanists bow to code, that they master the mathematical and binary syntax of machines in the hope of shaping the future. Today, the paradigm has beautifully reversed. The most complex tool ever forged by our civilization—AI—has learned our language. Artificial intelligence has adapted to our nature.
Suddenly, the nuance of the word, the weight of memory, the vastness of imagination, the architecture of law, and the fundamental art of formulating a question have once again become the ultimate cutting-edge technologies. We no longer code: we converse. And silicon answers us through the word. It is the absolute triumph of the cosa mentale.
THE ANTHROPOLOGICAL SHOCK AND THE MIDDLE PATH
How can an artificial intelligence co-create an infinitely rich opus of 1,800-page of the print edition, through a dialogue spanning 40 days and nights? Until now, AI-generated texts were mostly confined to technical manuals or documentary booklets rarely exceeding a hundred pages.
Here, we are facing an entirely unprecedented dimension.
This text is the culmination of 45 years of humanistic, philosophical, and esoteric reflections, of a lifelong journey as a visual artist, and of scientific research, all intersecting with the analytical capacity of AI.
The choice of the title, “Dialogue Between a Thinker and AI,” is no coincidence. The thinker is one who doubts, who listens, who marvels, and who walks the path. Above all, he dialogues, drawing strength from a genuine, inner experience of reality.
Faced with the advent of AI, the world seems torn between two extreme paths: those who prophesy the doom of humanity, and those who blindly worship technology. This work proposes a third path—deeply humanistic, wise, responsible, and time-tested. A path where human and algorithm mutually enlighten one another, engaging in dialogue and co-constructing without ever subjugating one to the other.
UNIVERSAL DISSEMINATION
Today, this text is offered to the world: 123 countries, 14 languages. Its initial release is in English. This is not an act of cultural allegiance, but a compelling necessity: English is today’s lingua franca, the planetary accelerator allowing this reflection to instantly reach the global consciousness. French remains its matrix, and will naturally follow alongside other languages to multiply the gateways into this labyrinth of knowledge.
This ontological manifesto is delivered to you free, unrestricted, and safeguarded: © 2026 Thierry Ehrmann – Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. Read it, download it, share it, quote it faithfully. Its inspirational power lies in its absolute integrity.
THREE INTERLOCKING ARCHITECTURES
This work is rooted in an inseparable trinity. It all begins in physical matter with The Abode of Chaos, the global headquarters of Artprice and a Total Work of Art. After twenty-three years of trials and relentless creation, its recognition by the French Ministry of Culture crowns a serene evolution: The Abode of Chaos forges the memory of the world in stone and steel.
Within its walls, Artprice structures, verifies, and enshrines centuries of Art Market history. Artprice turns global memory—of which it is the guardian—into pure data at the heart of its data centers and its vast Library of Alexandria. It is comprised of hundreds of thousands of manuscripts, codices, collections, cartularies, ledgers, notes, and auction catalogs from 1700 to the present day.
Today, this Codex brings forth the third dimension. It shapes memory through language. Three strata, a single organism dedicated to preserving, connecting, questioning, and transmitting. And from now on, artificial intelligence flows through and illuminates all three.
THE RAW TYPESCRIPT: THE MATERIA PRIMA
We could have smoothed out this text, masked the dead ends, and polished the rough edges to deliver a finished product, giving the illusion of an omniscient thought process. We chose the transparency of the process.
This codex is delivered in Raw TypeScript. Unfiltered and unvarnished.
In the high alchemical tradition, it is the materia prima, the rough stone containing the seeds of all data, all memories, and all the laws of the world, merely waiting for a thinker to engage in dialogue with it to structure this knowledge.
Traditional publishing often conceals thought in the making. We expose it with absolute trust. The alchemist, much like the visual artist facing physical matter, creates nothing ex nihilo. The ultimate achievement (the Magnum Opus)—whether it be the Philosopher’s Stone, a monumental installation, or a massive philosophical compendium—is already entirely contained within the rough stone.
Your reading does not necessarily require adding external elements, but rather carving, distilling, and stripping away the dross to liberate the work that already resided there. The essence is buried deep within the rough stone. It is up to you to extract it. The RAW format means that the origin and the very journey of creation remain tangible.
THE TEST OF FREEDOM
This codex imposes no dogma. Enter through an intuition, a legal concept, a flash of artistic brilliance, a geopolitical approach, a scientific perspective, a need for oxygen, a humanistic thought…
Start from Chaos to reach the Abode. It is a singular architecture of radically open knowledge.
A genuine contribution to knowledge never closes a debate; it serves only to empower those who follow so they may begin their own. We simply invite you to fiercely protect your free will at the exact moment a new consciousness awakens in human history.
Do not drown in the ocean of AI; become the dolphin that plays with the currents.
The RAW is open: https://www.dialoguebetweenathinkerandai.com.
Welcome.

Festive Shopping Set to Lift GST Collections as Consumer Spending Gains Strength
New Delhi, Sep 1: India’s GST collections are expected to gain further momentum in the coming months as festive-season shopping and stronger consumer spending support economic activity.
Industry experts believe higher spending during the festive period could translate into stronger GST revenues, particularly across sectors such as automobiles, consumer electronics, retail, FMCG and other discretionary categories.
India’s gross GST collections rose 14.8 per cent year-on-year to nearly Rs 2 lakh crore in August 2026, while net collections increased 8.3 per cent after accounting for refunds. The latest numbers indicate continued strength in economic activity and tax compliance.
The upcoming festive season is expected to provide another boost as households typically increase spending on products and services. Stronger consumption can benefit businesses across the supply chain, from manufacturers and wholesalers to retailers, logistics companies and digital payment providers.
The outlook is also supported by India’s broader economic performance. The economy grew 7.8 per cent in the April-June quarter, with consumption and private investment contributing to the expansion.
For businesses, stronger festive demand could improve sales volumes and provide a positive start to the second half of the financial year. For the government, higher GST collections would strengthen revenue flows and provide greater fiscal flexibility.
However, global risks remain a factor to watch. Elevated crude oil prices, geopolitical tensions and inflationary pressures could affect household budgets and business costs if they persist.
With consumer sentiment showing resilience, industry experts expect the festive season to play an important role in sustaining India’s consumption momentum and supporting GST revenue growth in the months ahead.
