CCTV Cameras, Plainclothes Cops To Intensify Security At Bhubaneswar Puja Pandals

Bhubaneswar, Sept. 30 (UDN): The Commissionerate Police has strengthened its security strategy for the upcoming festive season in Bhubaneswar, with enhanced surveillance, CCTV monitoring and deployment of plainclothes personnel planned at major puja pandals across the city.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr Saravana Vivek M said police would identify locations considered vulnerable based on incidents reported during previous festive seasons and increase patrolling and surveillance in those areas.

“We will review the security situation for the upcoming festive season and take necessary measures. Places identified as vulnerable during previous festive seasons will be kept under special surveillance, with additional patrolling in those areas,” the DCP said.

As part of the security plan, puja committees and organisers have been asked to install CCTV cameras at their respective pandals. Police have already held meetings with organisers to discuss crowd management and other security arrangements.

“CCTV coverage will be ensured at the pandals. We have already discussed the security arrangements with the organisers, and they will have to install CCTV cameras as part of the security measures,” DCP Saravana Vivek said.

Police personnel in plain clothes will also be deployed at various pandals to monitor suspicious activities, keep an eye on crowds and prevent crimes such as chain-snatching and other offences targeting women.

According to the DCP, photographs of habitual offenders and individuals previously involved in snatching cases will be circulated among police personnel to facilitate identification and monitoring during the festive period.

The police have also intensified their watch on unauthorised or forced collection of donations during the festive season. All police stations have been directed to monitor such activities and take action against those found violating the law.

“Strict action will be taken against those involved in forcibly collecting donations. All police stations have been instructed to remain vigilant and take action as per law,” the DCP said.

Surveillance will also be stepped up against criminals coming from outside the state, the DCP added.

Police officials will coordinate with inspectors-in-charge and senior officers to assess security requirements at different locations and finalise deployment plans accordingly.

The Commissionerate Police has urged puja committees to give priority to the safety of devotees and ensure adequate security and crowd-management arrangements at their pandals.

The enhanced patrolling, CCTV surveillance and deployment of police personnel will remain in place throughout the festive season to maintain public safety and ensure the smooth conduct of celebrations across Bhubaneswar.

IWG’s Rise of the Z-Suite: AI is accelerating the next generation of business leaders

Mumbai, 30 September: AI is accelerating the rise of a new generation of Gen Z business leaders, changing how organisations identify, develop and promote future leadership according to new research from International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest platform for work with brands including Spaces and Regus.

IWG’s Z-Suite Report: How a New Generation is Evolving the Boardroom reveals that established business leaders increasingly see AI as accelerating leadership capability rather than simply improving productivity. 82% said that AI is fast-tracking younger leaders – demonstrating how AI can quickly help people build influence, expertise and strategic advantage at work.

As digital fluency becomes a key commercial benefit, four in five (80%) senior leaders believe their younger employees are reaching leadership positions earlier than previous generations, while 92% say they would be likely to appoint a Gen Z candidate to a senior leadership role to embrace the skills that younger generations bring to the C-Suite.

This reflects a broader shift in business. AI is no longer simply changing how work gets done; it is changing how organisations identify, develop and promote future leaders. The findings carry particular weight in India, leadership ambition among younger professionals is already exceptionally high. Deloitte’s 2026 Gen Z and Millennial Survey found that 96% of Gen Z respondents in India are interested in pursuing senior leadership roles, significantly higher than the global Gen Z average of 76%.[1]

Microsoft’s 2026 Work Trend Index, released in India earlier this month, found that 32% of Indian AI users are using AI agents to redesign multi-step work. That is twice the global average of 16% and the highest share across the ten markets surveyed. 78% of Indian respondents said AI allows them to do work that was not possible a year ago, compared with 58% globally, and 44% reported that their leadership is aligned on AI, against 26% worldwide.

AI – the Gen Z business advantage

The IWG research suggests AI is helping younger leaders build confidence, expertise and decision-making far earlier in their careers than previous generations.

95% of those aged 21-29 believe they are likely to hold a senior leadership role by age 30, with four in five (80%) young leaders saying AI is giving them knowledge they would previously have needed years of experience to gain, while 79% say AI tools help them perform tasks beyond their current seniority.

India’s youngest professionals are already highly active users of AI at work. Deloitte’s 2026 India findings show that 93% of Gen Z respondents use AI in their day-to-day work, while 85% are confident in applying AI in their roles. This high level of adoption and confidence suggests that AI is increasingly becoming part of the toolkit through which younger employees build expertise, solve problems and take on responsibilities earlier in their careers.

Technology accelerates progression

Gen Z leaders also say technology is helping them build skills, expertise and influence faster than previous generations. As AI becomes embedded across organisations, digital fluency is increasingly becoming a business advantage, helping younger leaders develop expertise and confidence more quickly.

78% say AI has increased their confidence in taking on leadership responsibilities, while 79% believe it helps them contribute more strategically. 86% believe they are progressing faster than previous generations. Earlier IWG research on India’s Gen Z found that 65% of Gen Z respondents would be less likely to pursue entrepreneurship or multiple careers if they had to commute long distances every day.

Christian Schmitz, CEO of International Workplace Group, said: “The organisations that succeed over the coming years will be those that recognise leadership potential earlier and create environments where talented people can develop quickly. AI is accelerating capability, but businesses also need the right culture, opportunities and leadership to help people reach their full potential.

“This isn’t simply about promoting younger leaders sooner. It is about giving people the tools, flexibility and support to make better decisions, adapt faster and create more value for customers.

“The findings reinforce that AI is changing not only how businesses operate, but also how they identify, develop and promote the next generation of leaders.”

Zoomlion Marks 34th Anniversary, Highlighting Milestones in Innovation and Global Growth

CHANGSHA, China, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (“Zoomlion” or “the Company”) marked its 34th anniversary on September 28 with celebrations across its global operations under the theme “Youth in Bloom, Horizons Beyond.” The main event at Zoomlion Smart Industrial City in Changsha brought together company leaders and employees.

Zoomlion celebrates its 34th anniversary

Employees from 22 countries delivered anniversary greetings in their own languages. Zoomlion’s industrial parks, overseas business hubs and regional operations also held local activities on the same day.

Over the past 34 years, Zoomlion has expanded from its early roots in construction machinery into a diversified equipment business with operations in markets around the world.

1992 | The beginning. Zoomlion was founded in Changsha by Zhan Chunxin and seven colleagues, with an initial focus on commercializing engineering research and bringing new construction machinery products to market.

First product | HBT40A concrete pump. Less than a year later, the team launched the HBT40A, Zoomlion’s first independently developed product. It entered a concrete pump market then largely dominated by imported equipment and became the company’s first step toward building a broader product portfolio.

1994 onward | Expanding the product range. Zoomlion quickly broadened its lineup. By 1994, it offered 78 models across concrete machinery, construction cranes and sanitation equipment. By 1996 annual output value had reached RMB 120 million. The expansion moved Zoomlion beyond a single product category and into several areas of equipment manufacturing.

2000-2010 | Entering the capital markets. Zoomlion listed A-shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2000 and H-shares in Hong Kong in 2010, becoming the first company in its industry with an A+H share listing. The listings supported further expansion as the company’s business and product portfolio continued to grow.

2002 onward | Adding new businesses. Through acquisitions and in-house development, Zoomlion expanded into foundation machinery, aerial work platforms and mining machinery. It also built capabilities in key components including control systems and hydraulics, broadening both its equipment portfolio and technical capabilities.

2006-2008 | Adapting to a larger business. As its product lines and operations expanded, Zoomlion introduced a divisional structure in 2006 to manage a larger and more diversified business. By 2008, annual revenue had exceeded RMB 10 billion.

One Zoomlion brand. As Zoomlion expanded into more businesses, some operations had developed under different brand names. The company later brought them together under the ZOOMLION brand, creating a unified identity across its domestic and international operations.

2008 onward | Expanding overseas. Zoomlion accelerated its international expansion with the acquisition of Italian concrete machinery manufacturer CIFA in 2008. Further overseas acquisitions followed, alongside the development of production bases, R&D centers and parts-supply operations outside China. The company also built local sales, service and parts-support capabilities in major international markets, extending its presence beyond product exports.

Today, Zoomlion’s businesses span construction, mining and agricultural machinery. The company operates 11 overseas R&D and manufacturing bases, and its products and services reach more than 170 countries and regions. International revenue now accounts for nearly 60% of total revenue. In key markets, Zoomlion combines local manufacturing with sales, service and parts support to respond more directly to customer needs.

As it enters its 35th year, Zoomlion plans to continue advancing diversification, globalization and digitalization, with a focus on high-end equipment, intelligent technologies and greener development. The company will continue investing in technology and localized operations, including the use of AI, robotics and new-energy technologies across its businesses. These investments will support product development and help the company serve customers across key global markets.

Bybit Releases Latest Proof-of-Reserves Report, Adding 10 Tokens as Mainstream Asset Value Hit $19.6 Billion

DUBAI, UAE, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bybit, the New Financial Platform trusted by more than 80 million users worldwide, has added new 10 tokens to its Proof-of-Reserves (PoR) coverage with the release of its 40th PoR report, which reflects asset balances as of September 23, 2026. The report shows the reported value of mainstream assets reaching $19.6 billion, up from $18.1 billion in the 39th report in August.

The tokens joining Bybit’s September PoR report are SUI, PUMP, LIT, CAP, SPX, ZEREBRO, XPL, USDTB, PENGU, and ZRO. Bybit selects tokens for its PoR disclosures based on meaningful assets under management (AUM), with the current report covering the 50 highest-AUM tokens on the platform. This approach keeps the disclosure aligned with where user assets are concentrated.

The report, released on September 23, 2026, was independently verified by HACKEN. The snapshots and audited report show that reserve ratios for all 50 in-scope tokens were at or above 100%, including key assets such as USDT, USDC, BTC and ETH, indicating that user liabilities were fully backed by on-chain holdings.

Reserve positions strengthened across major assets compared with the 38th report published in July. The USDT reserve ratio rose to 110% from 105%, with wallet holdings exceeding user assets by roughly 364 million USDT. The USDC ratio increased to 223% from 174%. ETH edged up to 103% from 102%, while BTC held steady at 104%.

Ten tokens are newly added with reserve ratios between 101% and 125%, led by XPL at 125% and LIT at 121%.

Key Metrics (as of September 23, 2026 at 03:00 UTC)

  • USDT Reserve Ratio: 110% (~3.96 billion USDT in wallet backing ~3.59 billion USDT in user assets)
  • USDC Reserve Ratio: 223% (~748.3 million USDC in wallet backing ~334.8 million USDC in user assets)
  • BTC Reserve Ratio: 104% (58,721 BTC in wallet backing 56,131 BTC in user assets)
  • ETH Reserve Ratio: 103% (570,018 ETH in wallet backing 551,868 ETH in user assets)

As institutional and retail participation in digital assets continues to grow, proof of reserves has become a baseline transparency measure across the industry. Bybit’s 40th Proof-of-Reserves report offers an independently verified view of reserve balances and user liabilities, giving added visibility into the exchange’s custody and solvency position.

Reserve balances and verification records are published on Bybit’s Proof-of-Reserves page and updated on a recurring basis.

The performance was driven by the Group’s projects and sustained demand across its diversified portfolio in the GCC, Europe, and the UK.

DAR GLOBAL DELIVERS 66% REVENUE GROWTH IN HY 2026 AS PORTFOLIO GDV REACHES US$23BN

Gross profit rose 85% to US$87.7 million, expanding margins to 34% (from 31%). EBITDA increased 73% to US$46.3 million, while net profit surged 149% to US$30.4 million (HY 2025: US$12.2 million). Growth was anchored by revenue recognition from landmark projects, including The Astera, Interiors by Aston Martin and Neptune, Interiors by Mouawad.

Gross Development Value (GDV) nearly doubled year-on-year to US$23.0 billion, while cumulative contracted sales rose to US$3.9 billion across 4,380 units. The Group maintained a robust balance sheet with a Net Asset Value of US$613.3 million and total cash balances of US$847.9 million, including US$231.6 million in free cash, supporting total available liquidity of US$579.3 million.

In Saudi Arabia, the Group partnered with The Trump Organization in January to launch Rayana, a 2.6 million sq. m gated community in Diriyah featuring luxury mansions and a championship golf course, and later awarded a SAR 338 million (~US$90 million) infrastructure contract to Compass and Bin Omairah Company. Dar Global also unveiled Trump Plaza Jeddah (GDV US$383.6 million) and the adjacent Padel Living Residences (GDV US$142 million) within the Amaya masterplan.

In April, the Group closed a US$250 million syndicated term loan facility. In August, following the period, Dar Global appointed Gulf Asia Contracting to execute podium construction for the 80-storey, ~350-metre Trump International Hotel & Tower on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road.

Ziad El Chaar, Chief Executive, commented: “We have delivered a resilient performance through uncertain times in the region, supported by the quality of our international portfolio. Xyper Launches New Rewards Model for the Global Creator Economy

Xyper Points brings creator campaigns, community contributions, referrals, and advertiser acquisition into a single rewards framework

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Sept 30 – Xyper, the on-chain creator marketing marketplace connecting advertisers with creators to run and reward social content campaigns, has introduced Xyper Points, a new program that expands how participation across its marketplace is recognized and rewarded.

On Xyper, advertisers fund campaigns around the content and distribution they want, while creators participate in those campaigns by producing eligible social content. Xyper Points builds on that model by recognizing a wider range of activity around the marketplace, including community contributions, referrals, and bringing new creators and advertisers onto the platform.

The program launches as the global creator economy continues to expand, with the market projected to reach $1.35 trillion by 2033. Xyper’s new model looks beyond content creation alone to recognize the wider network of participants involved in bringing creator campaigns to market and helping them grow.

Creators and community members can earn Points through eligible campaign activity, original content, verified quests, and referrals. Existing Protocol XP will also be incorporated into the same Points balance, giving users a single place to track eligible activity and progress across the platform. Points will also be redeemable for XYPER tokens in the future, with further details to be announced.

“Creator marketing has traditionally focused on rewarding the person producing the content, but there are many more people contributing to whether a campaign or marketplace actually grows. Someone might introduce an advertiser, bring a new creator into the ecosystem, or help another participant get started. We wanted the reward structure to better reflect that. Xyper Points gives us one framework for recognizing those different contributions rather than treating them as separate activities.” said Philipp Eryushev, CEO of Xyper.

Xyper is also extending participation to the advertiser side of its marketplace through a structured business development pathway. Participants can access leads and outreach materials to approach prospective advertisers and earn partner rewards when advertisers they bring to Xyper fund qualifying campaigns. More experienced partners can also recruit and train other participants and develop teams of their own.

Under Xyper’s current partner fee structure, up to 50% of protocol fee revenue from partner-attributed campaigns can go to the Biz Dev partner. Xyper’s protocol fee represents 10% of gross campaign funding, with 5% of gross campaign funding available to be divided between the partner reward and any advertiser discount. For example, a qualifying campaign with $20,000 in gross funding could generate up to $1,000 for the referring Biz Dev partner where no advertiser discount is applied. Actual partner rewards depend on the applicable campaign and program terms.

To make participation easier to follow, Xyper Points includes a dedicated dashboard where users can see their Points balance and breakdown, mission requirements, verification status, and activity history. Published reward rules and visible requirements provide greater clarity around which activities qualify and how progress is recorded. The program is also designed to maintain continuity over time. While Xyper Points may operate across individual seasons, users’ overall Points balances will not reset between seasons, allowing eligible activity to accumulate within the same framework.

With Xyper Points, Xyper is expanding the economic participation around creator marketing campaigns beyond the creators producing the content. By recognizing the community members who contribute, the partners who bring advertisers onto the marketplace, and the participants who help expand its network, Xyper is building a broader model for how value created across the creator economy can be recognized and rewarded.

Developers hold off-plan pricing steady while sales volumes and absorption rates adjust

Developers hold off-plan pricing steady while sales volumes and absorption rates adjust

Only 6% of projects have cut rates by 5% or more since February as pricing decides how quickly projects sell out

Dubai, UAE, Sept 30: Dubai’s developers have largely held their off-plan prices steady through 2026 in the face of adjustments in sales volumes and absorption rates, according to a new market analysis by fäm Properties.

Of 717 off-plan projects launched since July 2023 with sufficient registered sales to measure their performance, just 44, or 6%, have reduced prices by 5% or more since the end of February. Only 28 projects, or 4%, are currently selling below their original launch price.

In a market which has displayed strong resilience despite geopolitical developments of the last few months, the first price reductions recorded in the analysis occurred in June 2026 or later, with project pricing being influenced by local area conditions.

Among 574 projects launched since 2025, the median project, priced 4.2% above the median price for its area, sold 73.8% of its units. By comparison, projects priced 20% or more above their area’s median price old a median of 60% of their units.

“Pricing is beginning to decide how quickly projects sell out,” said Firas Al Msaddi, Founder and CEO of fäm Properties. “Developers have generally been reluctant to reduce their headline prices, so where a project is positioned against comparable properties is having a greater bearing on its sales performance.”

While registered developer apartment sales during the first eight months of 2026 totalled 62,147, down 6% from the same period of 2025, the change was not evenly distributed across apartment types.

Studio sales in fact increased 26% to 21,728, while one-bedroom sales declined 18%, two-bedroom sales fell 16% and three-bedroom sales decreased 13%.

Dubai South was a major contributor to the increase in studio transactions, with sales rising 185% to 11,147 during the first eight months of the year.

“The data indicates that the adjustment in the market has been more evident in sales volumes and absorption than in widespread reductions to launch prices,” said Al Msaddi. “More than nine out of ten projects in the analysis have retained their launch pricing.

“The relationship between pricing and absorption is particularly relevant as developers compete across an increasingly broad range of projects and locations. Projects priced closer to prevailing market levels are recording higher median sales absorption than those carrying a substantial premium over their local market.”
