Harness Introduces AI Agents for Machine-Speed Vulnerability Response
India, Aug 20: Harness, the AI Software Delivery Platform company, today announced a set of security capabilities – AI SAST, agentic triage and remediation, a dedicated Zero-Day Agent, and virtual patching – that let security teams scan, prioritize, and ship a fix without waiting on a slower, disconnected process.
Frontier AI models are now on both sides of the equation. Attackers are using them to find and chain vulnerabilities faster than ever, going from disclosure to first exploit in as little as six hours, while the average vulnerability still takes over 50 days to fix. Defenders are gaining the same advantage, but unevenly: Project Glasswing partners have surfaced roughly 10 times more vulnerabilities using LLM-based scanning, a wave of visibility that turns into a bigger backlog without a faster way to act.
This is the new baseline, and every enterprise needs to be ready. This means having the ability to scan, triage, and ship a fix at the same machine speed those models now run, rather than relying on a security process built for a slower era.

Launching Agents Across the Vulnerability Lifecycle
These agents cover every stage a vulnerability moves through, from the moment it’s found to the moment it’s shielded in production, so no single slow step holds up the rest of the chain. Here’s what’s shipping:
- AI SAST: A deterministic scanning engine paired with an AI layer that filters out noise, cutting false positives dramatically while catching complex issues like IDOR that traditional tools miss entirely.
- LLM Scan Orchestration: Teams that run their own LLM scanners can now do it natively inside their pipeline, with results feeding directly into the same triage and remediation workflow as everything else.
- Triage Agent: Automatically triages the flood of scanner findings, prioritizing what’s actually exploitable, so teams can focus their time on real risk.
- Remediation Agent: Writes and validates a fix for a prioritized finding and opens a pull request for a developer to review and approve.
- Zero-Day Agent: Monitors for newly disclosed zero-days around the clock, instantly identifies every affected pipeline and artifact across a customer’s environment, and generates a validated fix ready for review, often within minutes of a threat going public.
- Virtual Patching: Deploys a protective patch the moment a vulnerability is discovered during testing, no code changes required, shielding production immediately while the real fix is finished behind the scenes.
“For customers, this means the distance between ‘we found something’ and ‘it’s fixed and deployed’ shrinks from weeks to hours, without adding headcount or a new tool to manage,” Sood added. “Every agent in this launch is built on the same reachability data, so teams aren’t just moving faster, they’re spending that speed on the vulnerabilities that actually matter instead of chasing noise.”
Extending Harness‘s AI Security Momentum
Harness has invested heavily in AI-driven security since its merger with Traceable in early 2025. Today’s announcement continues that trajectory, following the July 21, 2026 launch of Agent DLC, which brought governance and chain of custody to AI coding agents across the software delivery lifecycle. It also follows new integrations with Kong and Google that extend Harness‘s security and governance capabilities across a wider range of infrastructure and platform partners.

Khyber Aquaculture Partners with J&K Government to Modernise Trout Farming
Ganderbal, Aug 20: Khyber Aquaculture, in partnership with the Jammu & Kashmir Department of Fisheries, has launched a specialised training programme to equip local trout farmers with modern, sustainable aquaculture practices. The initiative, part of the Project No 22 Implementation of Trout Cluster Programme covering Ganderbal and Anantnag, under Holistic Agriculture Development Plan designed to transform traditional trout farming into a more scientific, efficient, and resilient industry.
The training brought together progressive farmers from Ganderbal, Bandipora, and Srinagar for an intensive session on “Sustainable Trout Aquaculture and Fish Health Management.” Experts guided participants through practical modules on biosecurity, water-quality management, responsible aquaculture, early disease detection, and Recirculating Aquaculture Systems . A key focus was shifting from reactive treatment of fish diseases to proactive prevention – emphasising routine water monitoring, stress reduction, and early warning systems to safeguard fish health.
The interactive format also allowed farmers to share real-world challenges and explore practical solutions to improve survival rates, growth, and overall farm efficiency.

Young Indian Chess Stars Shine in Singapore, U-11 Girls Team Wins Bronze
Mumbai, Aug 20: India’s young chess talent has made the country proud at the ASEAN Age Group Chess Championship in Singapore, with the Under-11 girls’ team securing a bronze medal after a strong and consistent performance.
The Indian team, comprising Varenya Lakshmi Vaka and Aligiri Amrutha Hemal from Andhra Pradesh, and Maya Siddharth Narula from Mumbai, finished with 14.5 points.
Vietnam won the gold medal with 19.5 points, while Singapore took silver with 14.5 points. India also finished on 14.5 points and secured the bronze through the tournament’s tie-break system.
The championship in Singapore brought together more than 700 players from 27 countries, giving young chess players a highly competitive international platform.
The Indian girls showed determination and consistency throughout the competition, competing strongly against players from across Asia and helping India secure a place on the podium.
The bronze medal highlights the growing strength of Indian junior chess and the emergence of promising young players from different parts of the country.
For the three young players, the tournament also provided valuable international experience and an opportunity to test their skills against some of the region’s strongest junior competitors.

Duleep Trophy Final Moved to Chennai to Bring Fans Back to the Stands
Chennai, August 20: The final of the 2026-27 Duleep Trophy has been shifted from Bengaluru to Chennai, with the BCCI opting for a venue where spectators can attend the prestigious domestic first-class match.
The title clash is scheduled to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium from September 6 to 10. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said the decision was taken to give cricket fans an opportunity to watch the final live, as spectator access is restricted at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
The rest of the tournament will continue at the Bengaluru facility, beginning on August 23. The change of venue applies specifically to the championship match.
The move also gives the Duleep Trophy final a traditional cricketing setting, with Chennai’s historic stadium expected to provide a stronger atmosphere for players competing for one of India’s premier domestic titles.

Hurricane Lala Devastates Hawaii Island, Recovery Efforts Expected to Take Weeks
Honolulu, August 20: Hawaii Island has entered a long recovery phase after Hurricane Lala battered the region with torrential rain, powerful winds and severe flooding, leaving thousands of residents without electricity and causing extensive damage to critical infrastructure.
The Kaʻū district on the southern part of the island suffered some of the heaviest destruction, with washed-out roads, collapsed bridges, landslides and fallen trees isolating several communities. Emergency crews continue to clear debris and restore access to affected areas.
Power restoration remains a major challenge, with thousands of households still experiencing outages as utility teams work to repair damaged transmission lines and electrical infrastructure. Authorities have also reported damage to homes, public facilities and transportation networks across the island.
Beyond Hawaii Island, Hurricane Lala disrupted daily life on Maui and Oahu, where strong winds and heavy rainfall triggered localized flooding and damaged residential and commercial properties.
State and local agencies are coordinating relief operations while assessing the full extent of losses. Officials have warned that rebuilding roads, bridges and essential services in the worst-hit communities could take several weeks, urging residents to avoid damaged infrastructure and follow emergency safety advisories.
Hurricane Lala is among the most destructive storms to impact Hawaii in recent years, highlighting the growing challenges posed by extreme weather events across the Pacific.
