Gujarat’s Divyang Bus Pass Goes Digital, Earns National Recognition for Inclusive Public Transport

Gandhinagar, Aug 8: Gujarat’s Divyang Bus Pass has earned national recognition after being integrated with DigiLocker, marking a significant step towards making public transport more accessible and convenient for persons with disabilities.

The digital facility allows eligible beneficiaries to access their bus pass through DigiLocker, reducing dependence on physical documents and making it easier to carry and present the pass while travelling.

For many persons with disabilities, access to affordable and reliable public transport is closely linked to their ability to work, study, access healthcare and participate independently in everyday life. The move to a digital pass is aimed at making that process simpler and less time-consuming.
