APR Bharat’s ‘Bottle Ki Recycle Yatra’ takes the message of PET recycling to nearly one million Indians along Kanwar Yatra route in 15 days
New Delhi, August 27, 2026: The Association of PET Recyclers (APR) Bharat’s ‘Bottle Ki Recycle Yatra’, a 15-day awareness initiative along the Kanwar Yatra route, has reached nearly one million Indians, taking the message of PET recycling and responsible plastic waste management to a large and diverse audience.
The campaign helped bring over 50,000 used PET bottles into the formal recycling ecosystem, demonstrating the potential of targeted, on-ground awareness initiatives to encourage responsible disposal and channel used PET bottles towards recycling.
The ‘Bottle Ki Recycle Yatra’ was designed to address a critical gap in public understanding around PET recycling and the value of used PET bottles. Interestingly, a survey conducted by APR Bharat on more than 600 consumers along the Kanwar Yatra route, reveals that while India has one of the highest recycling rates in the world, with an estimated 90 per cent of used PET bottles recovered and recycled, nearly 92.3 per cent of Indians are unaware that used PET bottles can be recycled and turned into new bottles.
Through direct engagement with citizens along the Kanwar Yatra route, the campaign sought to reinforce the message that a used PET bottle is not waste but a valuable resource that can be collected, recycled and reintroduced into the circular economy.
As part of the campaign, a specially designed Van travelled across four high-footfall locations in Muzaffarnagar and Meerut engaging with pilgrims and the wider public on the importance of responsible disposal, while collecting used PET bottles generated during the pilgrimage and channelising them into the formal recycling ecosystem.
“The overwhelming response to the ‘Bottle Ki Recycle Yatra’ demonstrates that when the message of recycling reaches people directly, it can translate into meaningful behavioural action. Reaching nearly one million people and bringing more than 50,000 PET bottles into the formal recycling ecosystem in just 15 days gives us the confidence to take this initiative to a much larger national platform moving forward. Our main objective of launching the campaign was to make recycling tangible and relatable by taking recycling awareness beyond the industry and into communities,” Goutham Jain, Director General, APR (Association of PET Recyclers) Bharat, said.
Implementation of mandate remains a challenge
The initiative assumes significance particularly at a time when the government has been emphasising on the need to promote austerity in imports to protect its foreign currency reserves and push for indigenisation of over 200 import-dependent petrochemical items. Global geopolitical disruptions and supply-chain volatility have demonstrated the vulnerability of industries dependent on uninterrupted supplies of virgin polymers. Transition to r-PET (recycled PET) is crucial to ensure national resource security, reduce import dependence, and ensure a more resilient domestic packaging supply chain.
Mr. Jain underscored that, although the Government has mandated the use of 40% recycled inputs in plastic packaging by 2026–27, implementation at the ground level remains limited and falls short of the intended transition towards a closed loop manufacturing ecosystem. He stressed that reliance on virgin PET derived from crude oil depletes national resources. In contrast, the large-scale adoption of recycled PET can help conserve critical resources while accelerating the transition towards a more sustainable, circular, and environmentally responsible plastic value chain.
“At a time when global polymer supply chains are experiencing volatility and India is simultaneously building significant domestic recycling capacity, recycling has a much larger role to play than simply managing waste. It can help create a more circular, resource-efficient and resilient manufacturing ecosystem for India. Every bottle that is responsibly disposed of and recycled represents a resource that can be recovered and reused,” Jain added.

Binance Introduces Agent OS to Connect AI Applications to Financial Infrastructure
New developer platform connects AI applications to Binance trading, market data, wallets, payments and on-chain tools across crypto and traditional markets
MUMBAI, India, Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Binance today introduced Agent OS, a developer platform and standardized access layer connecting AI applications to Binance’s trading, market data, wallet, payment and on-chain capabilities across crypto and traditional markets.
Built as part of Binance Intelligence, the largest cryptocurrency exchange’s strategic initiative for AI-powered products and experiences, Agent OS gives AI builders, fintech developers and quantitative trading teams a controlled foundation for creating applications and agents that interact with Binance’s financial infrastructure. The platform supports both ready-made integrations and users’ own AI agents.
Through supported AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, users can authorize agents to access market data, view account information and perform supported trading activities, subject to the permissions and limits they configure. Users can also assign each agent to a dedicated subaccount to segregate funds and trading activity.
“Binance Agent OS addresses the fragmentation developers face when building agentic finance applications across crypto and traditional markets,” said Jeff Li, VP of Product at Binance. “It gives everyone from developers to quantitative traders the reliable data, low–latency infrastructure, and standardized interfaces they need to deploy AI–driven strategies.“
A standardized developer layer
Agent OS brings together Binance APIs, Binance Wallet Agentic Hub, Binance x402 (programmable payments), Binance Skill Hub and newly introduced support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Together, these capabilities give developers the components they need to build connected financial applications and AI agents.
MCP is an open standard that enables compatible AI applications to connect to and use external tools. Its integration into Agent OS gives developers and partners a standardized way to connect their applications and agents to Binance, reducing the need to create separate integrations for each product or use case.
User-controlled access
Binance’s initial MCP implementation lets compatible AI applications access market data, view read-only account information and place trades. Through the MCP server, users can assign an agent to a dedicated subaccount, configure its permissions, and revoke access at any time.
Agents can view balances, portfolio information and transaction history of a designated subaccount, as well as balance and portfolio information for the user’s main account. They cannot access non-trading personal account information, including email address or KYC data.
Binance monitors and applies applicable controls to trading activity initiated through the platform, including the resulting orders. The agent’s external information sources, interpretation and decision-making are managed within the user’s selected AI application and are not visible to Binance.
Find out more about Agent OS here: https://binance.com/agent-os
Compatible clients that support MCP over Streamable HTTP can connect using:
https://agent.binance.com/mcp/agentic
Detailed setup instructions are available in the Binance MCP Server documentation:

Mohali’s GCC Opportunity Gains Momentum as Government of Punjab Partners with Zinnov at Confluence 2026
Government of Punjab’s Partnership brought Mohali’s emerging GCC proposition before global enterprise and technology leaders
BENGALURU, India, Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Nearly a quarter of India’s new GCC units set up in the past year landed in emerging cities beyond the traditional metro hubs, according to the NASSCOM-Zinnov GCC Landscape Report 2026. That shift is structural, not cyclical, driven by GCCs increasingly running multi-city portfolios rather than single-headquarters bets. Against this backdrop, Mohali is emerging as a promising destination for the next wave of GCC growth, offering a compelling combination of talent, infrastructure, connectivity, competitive operating costs and quality of life. The Government of Punjab brought Mohali’s case into that conversation as State Partner at Zinnov Confluence 2026, the 19th edition of Zinnov’s global technology and leadership summit, engaging directly with global enterprise executives, GCC decision-makers and investors on Mohali’s potential as an emerging GCC hub in North India.
“Our engagement at Zinnov Confluence gave Punjab an important platform to engage directly with global GCC and enterprise leaders on the opportunities emerging across the state. For Punjab, the focus is on building an ecosystem that can support the next generation of technology-led investment, strengthen opportunities for our talent, and enable enterprises to establish and expand with greater confidence. Mohali, with its growing technology ecosystem and competitive business environment, is well positioned to be part of this next phase of GCC growth. We value such government-industry engagements as they help us understand the priorities of global businesses and shape our approach accordingly,” said Shri Aman Arora, Cabinet Minister – Investment Promotion, Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab.
The outreach, undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, forms part of the State Government’s strategy to proactively create visibility for Punjab in major business and technology hubs and engage directly with corporate decision-makers, GCC leaders, and ecosystem enablers.
Highlighting Punjab’s competitive proposition, Shri Aman Arora said that Mohali combines Tier-1 capability with Tier-2 operating costs. Located in the foothills of the Shivaliks and forming part of the Chandigarh-Mohali, the city offers a strong combination of technology talent, modern infrastructure, connectivity and quality of life. The Chandigarh-Mohali region already has a strong base of working technology professionals and produces over 40,000 fresh graduates annually. Mohali offers an OPEX advantage over Tier-1 locations, ready and upcoming plug-and-play commercial space, proximity to Chandigarh-Mohali International Airport, and a liveable urban environment that supports talent attraction and retention. The State’s new industrial policy further provides dedicated support for GCCs, including ₹7,500 per employee per month employment subsidy, rental subsidy, capital subsidy, and other fiscal incentives.
At a session titled ‘The Location Playbook: Mohali as North India’s Emerging GCC Hub,’ Punjab’s leadership engaged senior GCC and enterprise decision-makers on factors shaping location decisions, including talent, technology, infrastructure, operating environment, innovation, and speed of execution.
“India’s GCC landscape is becoming more distributed, creating opportunities for locations that can offer the right combination of talent, infrastructure, operating economics, and ecosystem support. Mohali is well placed to participate in this shift, with an opportunity to build specialised capabilities and attract mandates that broaden North India’s role in the global technology value chain,” said Nitika Goel, Managing Partner, Zinnov.
Mohali’s proposition rests on cost and increasingly flexible entry. Industry estimates put operating costs in the city at roughly a third lower than Tier-1 hubs like Bengaluru and Chennai, at a moment when GCCs are entering new markets through faster, lower-risk models, from build-operate-transfer to fully managed GCC-as-a-Service, that don’t require full ownership from day one. State-level incentives, from capital subsidies to stamp duty exemptions, have become a recognized lever in this shift nationally, and Punjab’s task now is converting that framework into mandates on the ground. Whether Mohali converts its cost advantage into lasting mandates will depend on building the specialized talent depth that enterprises are prioritizing over pure labor savings. For Mohali, the opportunity is to translate its emerging GCC proposition into specialised technology capabilities, long-term mandates and high-value employment.

Nikhita Gandhi performed across prominent sporting, music and cultural platforms, including an IPL fixture, World Music Day programming, Falcon Festival and the Miss Arunachal Silver Jubilee Grand Finale.
Raja Kumari appeared across stages including NMACC, the Women’s Premier League and major festival properties, while Arjun Kanungo performed across sporting, university and festival platforms.
ONEmpire expanded THG India’s presence within premium live entertainment through weddings, corporate engagements and public performances, including the band’s appearance at CORE.
Together, these engagements reflected THG India’s ability to operate across the full spectrum of the live business—from international touring and large-scale public performances to premium private entertainment and brand-led experiences.
Forty Brand Deals Across Music, Fashion and Culture
THG India delivered and serviced 40 brand deals during its first year, connecting artists with companies across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, technology, automobiles and youth culture.
Brands engaged across the company’s commercial ecosystem included H&M, Westside, Crocs, FILA, Maruti Suzuki, Spotify, Redken, Maybelline, Noise, SHEIN, MINI, Budweiser, The League and JBL.
Artist-led partnerships included work involving Nikhita Gandhi with Kohler, Acer India and H&M; W.i.S.H. across Maybelline, Redken, Crocs, Westside, FILA and Shoppers Stop x HYBE India; Raja Kumari with Dove and Ray-Ban Meta; and Arjun Kanungo with Ethnix by Raymond and MINI.
These partnerships were designed not merely as endorsements, but as opportunities to connect each artist’s identity, audience and creative positioning with culturally relevant brands.
Building One of India’s Largest Songwriting Camps
One of THG India’s defining first-year A&R initiatives was the creation of one of India’s largest songwriting camps, built around Indian and international collaboration.
Conducted across 137 days and nine studio environments, the initiative generated 130+ original songs across eight genres, including pop, indie pop, house, dance, electronic music, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeat and Afro house.
The camp brought together artists from THG India’s ecosystem, including Jonita Gandhi, Nikhita Gandhi, Raja Kumari, Arjun Kanungo, W.i.S.H., SHAI and Mohammad Faiz, alongside Indian and international songwriters and producers.
Its creative network included collaborators such as Alawn, BANX & RANX, AAKASH, Karan Kanchan, SANJOY, Skylar Mones, Oscar Bell, Julia Gartha, Carlos Battey and Kyler Niko, among others, including THG’s CEO, Taylor Jones.
Beyond the number of songs created, the initiative reflected THG India’s larger A&R vision: to build sustained creative infrastructure through which South Asian artists, writers and producers can work with international talent, explore new genres and develop music for both Indian and global audiences.
Building Towards Year Two
“When we launched THG India, our ambition was never simply to build another artist-management company. We wanted to create the complete infrastructure around artists and creators—bringing together A&R, live representation, brands, publishing and genuine access to international opportunities.”
“The first year has demonstrated both the depth of talent in India and the scale of what can be achieved when that talent is supported with long-term strategy and global connectivity. We have built the foundation. Year Two is about going deeper, creating more original music and building sustainable careers from India for the world.”
— Taylor Jones, Founder and CEO, The Hello Group
As THG India enters its second year, the company will continue expanding its focus on original music, domestic and international touring, global songwriting and production collaborations, brand-led opportunities, artist development and premium live entertainment.
Upcoming plans include Anjana Padmanabhan’s forthcoming EP, new singles from Arjun Kanungo, W.i.S.H, Jonita Gandhi, BANX & RANX, Nikhita Gandhi, Sanjoy, further international collaborations, expanded live initiatives and the continued development of emerging artists within THG India’s ecosystem.
With its first year focused on establishing its team, creative infrastructure and commercial capabilities, THG India enters Year Two positioned to scale its work and create further pathways between South Asian talent and the global entertainment industry.
