Utility Global Taps Erik Meuleman as Chief Technology Officer to Advance Proprietary H2Gen Commercialization
Industry veteran brings 20+ years of experience advancing decarbonization technologies from research to commercial deployment
HOUSTON, Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Utility Global (“Utility”), a global company enabling economic industrial decarbonization, today announced the appointment of Erik Meuleman, Ph.D., as Chief Technology Officer. Previously, at Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, he led teams of up to 25 research engineers and scientists advancing carbon capture technologies from inception through pilot scale, supporting the development of more than 15 patents and four pilot plants. Earlier in his career, at the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research, he initiated and led the development of separation technologies, including new distillation and pervaporation systems, across multi-national research programs. Meuleman holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Twente in the Netherlands.
“Erik has spent two decades moving technology out of the lab and into industrial plants that run, which is exactly the discipline and leadership we need right now,” said Utility Chief Executive Officer Parker Meeks. “He’s built technology organizations from the ground up more than once, and we are looking forward to working with Erik to enhance our advanced technical team’s ability to accelerate the continued commercial deployment of our proprietary H2Gen around the world.”
Utility enables industrial companies to unlock value by extending the economic life of existing assets, eliminating or reducing emissions and accelerating progress toward their sustainability and decarbonization goals to support a cleaner environment for our communities and the world.
As Utility advances multiple commercial projects and expands its footprint across North America, Europe and Asia, Meuleman will lead the technology organization through this next stage of growth.
“What drew me to Utility is the combination of an exciting technology that already works at scale and a team ready to build real engineering discipline around it,” Meuleman said. “I’ve spent my career doing exactly that kind of work, closing the gap between what’s proven in demonstration and what a customer can actually run with extreme confidence at industrial scale.”

KuMining Broadens Access to Proof-of-Work Infrastructure with KAS Cloud Mining
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands, Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — As Proof-of-Work mining becomes increasingly dependent on specialized hardware, energy resources and professional operations, direct participation remains out of reach for many individual users. KuMining, the cloud mining platform powered by global cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin, today announced the launch of KAS Cloud Mining, further expanding its multi-asset mining ecosystem and providing eligible users with a simpler way to access professional KAS mining infrastructure.
KAS is the native asset of Kaspa, a Proof-of-Work blockDAG network. As new KAS enters circulation through mining, access to hashrate allows users to participate in the network’s block production and security process, offering an alternative to purchasing the asset directly on the secondary market.
With KAS mining now primarily reliant on specialized ASIC hardware, users would otherwise need to purchase and transport equipment, secure suitable power and hosting, configure mining pools, and manage ongoing maintenance. KuMining brings these operational requirements together in a streamlined cloud mining experience, creating an accessible path between buying KAS and operating a physical mining setup.
Eligible users can select contracts ranging from 7 to 360 days and receive variable daily KAS mining output based on their purchased hashrate and applicable product rules. The pool-based model provides a more continuous and observable experience than probability-based solo mining, while removing the need to own or operate mining equipment.
KAS Cloud Mining also adopts KuMining’s “mine first, pay electricity later” model. Users pay the applicable hashrate fee upfront, while electricity charges are settled over time. This reduces initial cash requirements and provides greater cash-flow flexibility, without implying lower total mining costs.
“Mining should be accessible to anyone who wants to participate, not limited to those with the resources to purchase and operate specialized equipment,” said Jolie Du, Chief Operating Officer of KuMining. “By introducing KAS Cloud Mining, we are giving more users a simpler path into professional Proof-of-Work mining while taking another step in the expansion of KuMining’s multi-asset ecosystem. Our goal is to connect professional infrastructure with everyday users through a transparent and integrated experience.”
Integrated with KuCoin, KuMining enables users to receive and manage mining output without navigating separate mining pools, wallets and exchanges. The launch further extends KuMining’s Trade → Earn → Mine journey and reinforces its role as an accessible gateway to professional mining infrastructure.
KAS Cloud Mining is now available to eligible users here.

FAI to deliberate on strengthening India’s fertiliser security amid global supply disruptions
Mumbai, 25th August 2026: The Fertiliser Association of India (FAI) is organising a three-day program on Fertiliser Security Amid Global Disruptions from 24-26 August in Udaipur, Rajasthan bringing together senior industry executives and sector experts to deliberate on the emerging challenges to India’s fertiliser security and the roadmap for building a more resilient fertiliser ecosystem. The program will focus on global market volatility, domestic production, policy challenges, geopolitical disruptions, green ammonia and urea, circular economy approaches and alternative fertilisers.
Addressing the inaugural session, Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Director General, FAI, said that recent geopolitical developments have highlighted the vulnerability of global fertiliser supply chains and reinforced the need for greater self-reliance and preparedness. He emphasised that fertiliser security is closely linked with agriculture and food security, and that disruptions in fertiliser availability can have wider implications for the agricultural sector. “When the fertiliser sector is secured and safe, the agriculture sector feels secured and safe,” he said.
Dr. Chaudhari noted that the Indian fertiliser industry has demonstrated resilience despite repeated global disruptions, but cautioned that such resilience cannot depend indefinitely on contingency measures. Greater domestic production, diversification of sources, alternative raw materials and feedstocks, and exploration of non-conventional resources will be critical to strengthening India’s long-term fertiliser security. He also highlighted the importance of reducing dependence on a single source or geography as geopolitical conflicts increasingly affect energy, logistics and raw material availability.
He further underlined the growing importance of energy security for the future of Indian agriculture and fertiliser production, noting that the sector will need to explore green energy, green hydrogen, green ammonia and greater integration of renewable energy into fertiliser manufacturing. Dr. Chaudhari stated that companies who were able to integrate new energy resources and technologies effectively could gain a competitive advantage.
The FAI Director General also stressed the need for greater technology adoption across the fertiliser sector, including robotics, artificial intelligence and other new-age technologies, to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity. While India has made significant progress in energy efficiency, continued investment in new-generation technologies will be important to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Dr. Chaudhari also highlighted the role of integrated nutrient management and alternative fertilisers in building a more sustainable agricultural system. He noted that nano fertilisers, natural and organic farming and other alternative approaches can complement conventional fertilisers, while helping improve soil health, nutrient-use efficiency and long-term sustainability.
He emphasised that achieving greater resilience will require coordinated efforts by the Government, fertiliser industry and farming community, supported by an enabling policy environment. FAI, as the interface between industry and government, will continue to facilitate knowledge-sharing, identify emerging challenges and provide policy inputs to strengthen the sector.

Cambrex High Point Completes FDA, PMDA and TGA Pre-Approval Inspections, Advancing Commercial Manufacturing Capabilities
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Cambrex, a leading global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), today announced the successful completion of three Pre-Approval Inspections (PAIs) at its High Point, North Carolina facility by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), and Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). The completion of all three inspections enables High Point to manufacture approved active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for the United States, Japan, and Australia, establishing the facility as the newest commercial manufacturing site within the Cambrex global network.

PAIs are conducted by regulatory agencies to assess a facility’s quality systems, manufacturing processes, data integrity, and operational controls before commercial products can be approved for manufacture at the site.
The milestone follows Cambrex’s $38 million expansion of the High Point facility completed in 2023, which added analytical and chemical development laboratories, clinical manufacturing suites, and commercial manufacturing operations with reactors up to 2,000 liters. The site is designed to support lower-volume commercial products, including orphan drugs, precision medicines, and other specialized therapies serving smaller patient populations.
“Successfully completing these inspections demonstrates the strength of our quality systems and the dedication of the High Point team,” said Thomas Loewald, Chief Executive Officer, Cambrex. “As more therapies are developed for targeted patient populations, the industry increasingly requires commercial manufacturing capacity at smaller scales. High Point was purpose-built to meet that need, providing customers with an efficient and flexible path from development to long-term commercial supply.”
High Point complements Cambrex’s global development and manufacturing network by providing customers with a seamless path from process development and clinical manufacturing through commercial production. The addition of commercial manufacturing capabilities in North Carolina further expands the company’s ability to support customer programs throughout the product lifecycle.
About Cambrex
