SANY Ships Its First Autonomous Mining Trucks to South America

First Latin American deployment combines autonomous electric trucks with intelligent dispatching and lifecycle services

CHANGSHA, China, Aug. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SANY Group on August 12 shipped its first batch of SKT110Ei pure-electric autonomous mining trucks to South America, the company’s first autonomous mining truck project in the region. The project includes an autonomous truck fleet, an intelligent dispatching system and lifecycle operations and maintenance services. It is also SANY’s first deployment of its autonomous mining solution in Latin America, extending the company’s autonomous mining capabilities into a new international market.

A fleet of autonomous mining trucks departed from SANY’s Shenyang Heavy Equipment Industrial Park

Currently, the global mining industry faces challenges including complex operating conditions, haulage safety risks, shortages of skilled operators and rising labor costs. SANY’s integrated autonomous driving solution is designed to address these challenges by improving safety, reducing operating costs and increasing efficiency. Tailored to the customer’s operations in South America, the solution integrates autonomous trucks, roadside infrastructure and cloud-based dispatching with localized operations and maintenance services.

The SKT110Ei pure-electric autonomous mining trucks are designed for high reliability and availability with low energy consumption. Equipped with SANY’s fully in-house-developed autonomous driving system, the trucks are designed to lower operating costs and improve productivity while reducing the need for manual operation.

At the recent SANY Group Mining Summit 2026, the company also unveiled its first cabless pure-electric mining truck. Equipped with a liquid-cooled dual-gun charging system, the truck supports ultra-fast charging while maintaining the range required for mine-site operations. It offers three operating modes — on-site takeover, remote takeover and fully autonomous driving — to accommodate a wide range of operating requirements.

SANY Intelligent Mining, a subsidiary of SANY International, one of SANY Group’s three listed companies, specializing in intelligent mining technologies, develops systems ranging from drive-by-wire chassis and multi-sensor perception to AI-based decision-making and cloud-based dispatching. As of July 2026, the company had deployed more than 300 autonomous mining trucks, which had logged more than 13 million kilometers of safe operation and transported over 41 million cubic meters of earth and rock across a range of demanding operating conditions.

SANY will continue to invest in autonomous mining technology and work with mining partners worldwide to improve the intelligence, safety, efficiency and sustainability of mining operations.

Wordly Reports 668% Three-Year Growth as AI Translation Reshapes Live Events

EventTech leader climbs to 52nd fastest-growing software company on Inc. 5000 after powering 1 billion minutes of live keynotes, breakouts, and post-event dubbing

LOS ALTOS, CA – Aug 20 – Wordlythe pioneer and leader in live AI translation and captions, announced it ranked No. 521 on the 2026 Inc. 5000, climbing 1,186 places from No. 1,707 a year ago. Among software companies, Wordly rose from No. 196 to No. 52, a 144-place jump, as demand grows for AI-powered multilingual communication across conferences, meetings, keynotes, breakouts, and other live experiences.

For the events industry, the growth reflects a broader shift in how organizers approach language access. What was once typically reserved for large international conferences and high-profile keynote sessions is increasingly being used across the full event lifecycle, from live sessions and audience engagement to post-event content localization.

Accelerated adoption of live AI translation and captions has pushed Wordly past the 1-billion-minute and 6-million-user milestones, fueling a 668% three-year growth. Along the way, the platform has saved customers more than $200 million versus traditional human interpretation.

Data Shows Event Planners See AI Outperforming Traditional Human Interpretation

The milestone coincides with shifting enterprise benchmarks. According to the 2026 State of AI Translation & Captions Report, 66% of enterprise event planners now report that live AI translation exceeds the quality of human interpreters, while cutting costs and eliminating logistics bottlenecks

.“Moving up to No. 52 validates a fundamental market shift,” said Lakshman Rathnam, Founder & CEO of Wordly. “Real-time multilingual content is no longer just something large industry conferences add when they need it. We’re seeing businesses, universities, and public agencies use it across meetings, town halls, training, and live events because multilingual communication has become part of their everyday operations.”

Expanded Platform: From Live Sessions to Post-Event Content

Wordly expanded its platform over the past year to support more of the event lifecycle, including:

  •  Workplace Integrations: Added Workspaces and deeper Microsoft Teams support to bring multilingual meetings and hybrid experiences that extend beyond the conference floor.
  • Live & Post-Event Localization: Launched real-time AI Subtitles for main-stage keynotes alongside Voice Transcripts to help organizers repurpose recorded event content for multilingual audiences after an event ends.
  • Mobile App Updates: Released automatic language detection and a revamped mobile app to streamline live in-person translation for company-wide gatherings, campus events, and city council meetings.

The expansion reflects a broader move toward using AI translation not as a single event service, but as an always-on communication layer that can support audiences before, during, and after an event.

Blueprint Finance Announces Strategic Funding Round to Scale Concrete’s Institutional DeFi Infrastructure

Polychain Capital leads the round, with participation from Bullish, Keyrock, BitGo, FalconX, G-20, Flowdesk, JPEG Trading, and Sentient Capital.

NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Blueprint Finance, the core developer of Concrete, today announced the completion of a strategic funding round led by Polychain Capital, with participation from Bullish, Keyrock, BitGo, FalconX, G-20, Flowdesk, JPEG Trading, Sentient Capital, Andes, and 2Square.

Blueprint Finance Logo

The strategic round brings together a group of investors spanning venture capital, institutional trading, custody, liquidity provision, and digital asset infrastructure. The financing will support Blueprint Finance as it continues to scale Concrete, its full-stack vault infrastructure that is designed to enable institutions, protocols, and asset managers to launch, manage, and allocate capital through sophisticated on-chain strategies.

Concrete continues to design and build infrastructure for a new phase of decentralized finance — one in which vaults increasingly function as programmable on-chain capital allocators. Rather than requiring allocators to manage execution, accounting, risk controls, rebalancing, and integrations across fragmented protocols independently, Concrete provides the infrastructure to bring these functions together within a unified vault system.

The company has also continued to expand its work with protocols, asset issuers, networks, and institutional allocators to build vaults that can support on-chain yield products and serve as core liquidity infrastructure.

Beyond scaling its vault infrastructure, Blueprint Finance has continued to expand the Concrete ecosystem with new on-chain financial primitives, including AssetCX and concUSD. These products represent the next evolution of Concrete: moving to build new assets, markets, and financial products on top of its institutional-grade foundation.

“DeFi is moving beyond the era where capital allocation was defined by chasing the highest advertised yield,” said Nic Roberts-Huntley, CEO and co-founder of Blueprint Finance. “The next phase is about infrastructure: giving professional allocators the controls, transparency, automation, and risk management they expect while preserving everything that makes on-chain markets powerful. This strategic round brings together firms that understand those markets from every angle, and we’re excited to have them alongside us as we scale Concrete into the infrastructure layer for on-chain asset management.”

The round reflects growing institutional interest in vault infrastructure as digital asset markets mature. Institutional allocators increasingly require more than access to on-chain yield: they need auditable accounting, defined operational permissions, scalable execution, transparent risk controls, and infrastructure capable of operating through rapidly changing market conditions.

“Who participated in this round is as important to us as the capital itself,” added Roberts-Huntley. “These are firms that operate at the center of digital asset markets. Bringing that expertise into the Concrete ecosystem gives us strategic partners across liquidity, execution, custody, and distribution as we build infrastructure designed for the next generation of on-chain capital.”

About Blueprint Finance

Blueprint Finance builds infrastructure for institutional on-chain finance and is the core developer of Concrete.

Concrete is a full-stack vault infrastructure platform designed to power the next generation of on-chain asset management. Its modular architecture enables institutions, protocols, asset issuers, and allocators to build and operate vaults with automated execution, accounting, risk controls, and quantitative strategy tooling.

By combining DeFi-native composability with institutional-grade operational infrastructure, Concrete is building the foundation for scalable, transparent, and programmable capital markets on-chain.

MENA Fintech Association Appoints Meera Judge and Zain Umer as Co-Chairs of Digital Assets Working Group

New leadership steps in as digital asset infrastructure matures and institutional adoption picks up pace across the region

MENA Fintech Association Appoints Meera Judge and Zain Umer as Co-Chairs of Digital Assets Working Group

Dubai – UAE | Aug 20: The MENA Fintech Association (MFTA), a leading not-for-profit organization serving fintech startups, financial institutions, and regulators across the Middle East and Africa, announced the appointment of Meera Judge and Zain Umer as Co-Chairs of its Digital Assets Working Group.

The appointments come as the region’s digital asset market moves past early experimentation. Tokenized value, blockchain infrastructure, and open-ownership models are increasingly finding practical, institutional use, and MFTA said the new Co-Chairs will help guide the Working Group’s agenda through this next stage.

Commenting on her appointment, Meera Judge said:

“The space we are stepping into looks different from even a year ago. Value that used to sit still is moving on-chain, the technology is maturing fast, and open ownership is becoming practical. I am grateful to be taking on the role of Co-Chair of MFTA’s Digital Assets Working Group at exactly this moment.”

Zain Umer added:

“It is a privilege to take on the leadership of MFTA’s Digital Assets Working Group at such an important stage in the region’s development. MENA has emerged as one of the world’s most dynamic markets for digital assets, but the next phase must be about translating that momentum into sustainable, institutional growth. I look forward to bringing together regulators, industry leaders and the wider ecosystem to help address the market challenges that will shape this next chapter, and to ensure the region continues to set a global benchmark for responsible innovation.”

Nameer Khan, Chairman of MENA Fintech Association:

“Meera and Zain bring the credibility, experience and industry perspective needed to lead the Digital Assets Working Group into its next chapter. Their leadership comes at an important moment as MENA’s digital asset market evolves from early pilots into a more mature institutional ecosystem, and I look forward to seeing them help strengthen collaboration between regulators and industry.”

Chennai, August 20: The final of the 2026-27 Duleep Trophy has been shifted from Bengaluru to Chennai, with the BCCI opting for a venue where spectators can attend the prestigious domestic first-class match.

Hurricane Lala Devastates Hawaii Island, Recovery Efforts Expected to Take Weeks

Honolulu, August 20: Hawaii Island has entered a long recovery phase after Hurricane Lala battered the region with torrential rain, powerful winds and severe flooding, leaving thousands of residents without electricity and causing extensive damage to critical infrastructure.

The Kaʻū district on the southern part of the island suffered some of the heaviest destruction, with washed-out roads, collapsed bridges, landslides and fallen trees isolating several communities. Emergency crews continue to clear debris and restore access to affected areas.

Power restoration remains a major challenge, with thousands of households still experiencing outages as utility teams work to repair damaged transmission lines and electrical infrastructure. Authorities have also reported damage to homes, public facilities and transportation networks across the island.

Beyond Hawaii Island, Hurricane Lala disrupted daily life on Maui and Oahu, where strong winds and heavy rainfall triggered localized flooding and damaged residential and commercial properties.

State and local agencies are coordinating relief operations while assessing the full extent of losses. Officials have warned that rebuilding roads, bridges and essential services in the worst-hit communities could take several weeks, urging residents to avoid damaged infrastructure and follow emergency safety advisories.

Hurricane Lala is among the most destructive storms to impact Hawaii in recent years, highlighting the growing challenges posed by extreme weather events across the Pacific.
